The Rapid Force Duty Holster by Alien Gear Holsters

The Rapid Force Duty Holster by Alien Gear Holsters is a new duty holster, designed with input from real police officers and military personnel to improve on existing duty holster designs.
We reached out to real police officers and asked them what they wanted in a holster for use in the line of duty. Common requests included less awkward retention devices, durable construction, and a selection of attachment methods.
The Rapid Force police holster is engineered with all of that input in mind, creating a holster with more intuitive action retention devices with no loss in security, along with the configurability to accommodate the need of almost any officer in the line of duty.
The core of the Rapid Force Duty Holster is the Gross Motor Response system, a suite of retention features. The holster can be ordered with Level II or Level III retention, with an ejection port lock and locking backstrap. Passive retention is also adjustable.
The control system is located on the body side edge of the holster, and both active retention devices can be operated while maintaining a full firing grip, making the holster blindingly fast when needed, but still totally secure.
The Rapid Force holster is also compatible with weapon-mounted lights and can be ordered for use with a red dot optic as well. The red dot sight hood is linked to the locking backstrap, and features a dust flap to keep dirt, dust or other debris from getting into the optic.
The holster comes with a jacket slot belt slide attachment, with your choice of low-, mid- or high-ride height, with paddle and drop leg attachments available as well. A quick release system can be added to the holster if you so choose. Cant is adjustable, and the standard jacket slot belt attachments are MOLLE/PALS webbing-compatible.
The Rapid Force Duty Holster is backed by a 30-Day Field Test after purchase, in case returns are necessary, and a 1-year warranty against defects in manufacturing or materials. This is a new standard of duty holsters.

This thing is legit. I've used a variety of level 3 Safarilands for a decade, and picked up two of these Alien Gear RFDH's about 7 months ago. They're rugged and inspire confidence from the get go. Definitely up there in quality.

Reminds me of my old Ghost III holster for my EAA Witness 10mm steel frame. There are small differences in both the retention mechanism and release mechanism between the Ghost and the Alien. The design is also different in that the Ghost III let you run the whole holster 90 degrees forward to relieve sciatic nerve problems, but would not allow for smaller tilt forward or back to wear it canted. The Alien Gear of course allows for canted carry.
Both systems are modular and allow for shifting the whole holster from waist carry, to thigh carry, to under dash mounts, etc.
Here are the BIG differences: Alien Gear is American made, and you can actually get their products.
I carried the Ghost III by Amadini (made in Italy) on duty for over 10 years as a Texas police officer and loved it. I was lucky to get it from a company looking to import them, but my fellow officers were never able to repeat my luck. It was like Ghost III folks didn't want American money or something as the import deal fell through. Sheesh.
On the other hand, I have been using an Alien Gear waist holster and double mag holder for my tiny little kel-tec P3AT for at least 3 years and love them too. I live on the Texas gulf coast and this little holster allows me to carry off duty wearing shorts and a loose shirt when it is too hot to breathe outside. The holster came with all sorts of extra do dads and is the best holster ever made for the little kel-tec. I absolutely loved the attention to detail and all of the thought that went into designing that holster and it's separate matching mag holder.
Gotta let the troops know about this new Alien Gear holster. Too cool.

Will there be consideration of P320 for 45acp frame modules?
Presently, my holsters work well between the 9/40 and .45 frame modules, however I imagine the retention system will have tighter tolerance that makes a separate holster necessary. Please let me know.

Actually, they alien gear holsters is currently in production on several models, and plans to debut many more over the next 5-10 months, and they'll be introducing an adapter for the safariland/QLS system(or so my alien gear Mil/LE rep tells me)!
I just got mine today (not my first alien gear holster but my first duty holster) my only let down is that it wasn't clear, possibly my fault, but I didn't realize the Molle adaption had only three can't angles. 5, 23 and 40 degrees. No other, including 90 degree. My other molle holster for a different firearm and not a duty holster has several can't angles and that's what I presumed would be in this holster. I guess I will now order a different adaption for this duty holster and hope that works. That is my only gripe however. As all aliengear 👽 products I believe it is going to stand up great, work well and provide as advertised. I hope this helped any future purchaser though
I'd REALLY like to see an accessory mount offered to mount a TQ to the front face of the holster. I just purchased a Rapid Force to replace my Safariland, and that is one accessory for the Safariland that I will actually miss, a lot

I have been looking for a good shoulder holster for a long time. When I discovered this shop, I was so amazed I could not believe my eyes or ears. It was like all were solved when I saw how good the holsters are.

i was interested in this holster but after seeing how the release works, the safariland methods are better for a proper grip.
The Alien Gear holster requires you to swipe the thumb down when The way that me and lots of professionals prefer is keeping the thumb flagged high to make room for the rapid marrying of the thumb palm from the support hand.

It seems very good! Unfortunately my city is one of the most restricted gun prohibited cities in the world, but the holster is very impressive indeed, it will be better if it can fit a pistol with silencer.

I presently use the original Duty holster from Tactical Design labs; the Professional Real Performance Duty Holster. This was before they were acquired by Gould and Goodrich. I've been looking for a new duty holster to transition to. This one seems to have some promise! One thing that worries me is that quick release mechanism possible being too easy to activate. Also, what worries me more are...way too many screws in this holster.
Just a couple of observations, but to me this is a valid concern. But I'm glad there are other options out there besides Blackhawk and Safariland etc...

You sound like those fuds that use to say "nothing beats a 1911 for a duty gun". We all know how well that aged. Technology progresses. Sell your carbureted vehicle, and move forward. Everything doesn't have to stay the same.

Awesome holster!! Had ordered one. Now they just need to come out with the leg holster and attachment (quick release) for it. I bought one of their hybrid IWB about 5 years ago. Still going strong. Only once I had a screw back out and lost it. Their customer service was great. Now if they would make this for my Walther PPQ 45 I would carry that for my duty weapon.

The real question is, will that red dot hood cover holosun and vortex red dots too? I know the holosun 507 and 508 are pretty beefy.

Man i love the alien gear products. I have the ShapeShift Core Carry Pack and ShapeShift Driver Defense Expansion Pack, best products so far... but now i want this rapid force duty holster. This can be send for an international buyer?.
Hope they make one for the hk p30L with suppressor hight sights rds with the surefire x300 so I can also use it for my hk vp9 long slide also with suppressor hight sights with red dot.

Wonder if I can attach it to my gcode stuff with the rti? It looks like it might be possible. G19x with pl mini valkyrie 2 is hard to get a holster for. Id throw it on my hsgi belt with molle webbing
Impressive, I'd love to see if you have this specific holster for a 1911. I have a Kimber 1911, would like to buy a duty one for open and duty.
We are actually in the process of refining and relaunching this duty holster to be more durable and safe. We don't have hard release dates yet, but it will be coming soon first for Glocks and hopefully for guns like the Kimber 1911 soon after.

The holster is amazing so as the uniforms they are wearing. Does anybody know the brand of those I've been looking at alien gear (specifically fro the green sheriff uniform 0:48 ) but I don't see uniforms with this material.
Will the P320 X5-Legion fit with the P320 Full size mold? I believe the X5-Legion barrel length is slightly longer but I don't know if there's enough open space for the front of barrel to pass through without any issue.
Have you been able to figure this out yet? I'm rocking the X5 DH3 for duty and I really would like to get a better "duty" holster for it.

It really does! Regrettably, we do not have the information on that belt.
I’d love one for an HK45CT “Mk24” with a TLR8A mounted. But HKs don’t get any love from AlienGear like Glock. Really need to offer more options for more than just the top 3 popular guns. Just light bearing options at least.

With the trend toward Stop the Bleed (TCCC) can you guys plan a revision or retrofit to connect tourniquets holsters to this?

Very impressive AGH. I have used other products before that accomodate my various pistols. I am a former police officer and wish I had this rig. Questions though. Can the rig be supported on a 1.5 in belt mount vs the duty 2 in? And secondly, many agencies, including some I have connections with, are now adopting the Viridian X5L Gen 3 as their light mount with ECR technology to incorporate the camera. I personally own one as well and that is attached to my Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS with a Trijicon RMR. Is there a product in the works for this set-up or one that can be custom made for it?

These are optimized for 2" Duty Belts, so the 1.5" may have more travel on the belt on the draw. We are working on more accommodations for attachments as we continue. We are unable to do custom holsters at this time. We hope we are able to accommodate your set up in the future.

I noticed in the product video of a paddle attachment and I might use that for 1.5 in belt and for off-duty officers who carry strong side, this would be a benefit to still have security on your side vs only a friction holster. I am looking forward to the new products. Also, may I ask where we can get the attachments (such as a paddle attachment) on the website for the RapidForce?

Looks like a Safariland to me, IMO, with a upgrade of excepting a red Dot, I'd buy it, I would assume it only works with Streamlight and Surefire, I wished they would partner with Olight for the Baldr Pro with green laser.

I have a Glock 19 gen 5 with 507c optic and TLR 7A gun light, would this holster work with the TLR 7A or do you have a better option for that combination.

Another good product that probably won't have a lot of different applications. Glock and..... glock. Oops, I read the pistols it's supposed to come out for later. My two I'd like it for, M&P 9 2.0 with 5" barrel and SIG 226 MK25 (has pic rail instead of SIG rail). Well, add the P320 Full size/length slide.

it's been a year guys. any news on an m&p holster? it's such an amazing take on a duty holster but your selection for guns is severely lacking even after a year or so.
I only see availabilities for Glock. Is the holster still usable for other brands? I have two other guns, such as H&K VP9 SK (subcompact) and Walther PPQ M2 Subcompact.
