EDIT: I’d also recommend waiting to grind Sigils until you unlock Transmarvel pulls. You want that grinding to go towards the pity.

There is another way to bypass and deal more damage after reaching the max damage.
That is to do elemental weakness damage.
War elemental sigil with exploits sigils will massively boost that damage.
Exploits sigil also have backstab damage as a bonus, that can easily replace some other damage sigils in your character.
Another way is to maximise link together sigil, and stun.
Sincee link together sigil not only improve link gauge gain, it also boost damage on link attack, and most importantly, SBA damage and chain burst damage. This build helps the team by quickly able to stun bosses to trigger link strike, dumping huge amount of damage there, and also helps the entire team to build up SBA gauge quicker.
Plus the huge number for full chain bust is no joke.
Ofc all of these still needs damage cap sigil to work.
I'm using link together and stun because I main ferry and she gets all her pets every time you link attack.
You can farm damage cap sigils from the red dragon boss(Extreme), angra mainyu(Extreme), and Gallanza(Maniac). These are the bosses dropped damage cap sigils in most of my repeats.

@@SF_Savitar best way to farm damage cap in Proud is proto bahamut which has damage cap + as one of its drop. You'll have to farm him a ton for the terminus weapon anyway so it is killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

You can also increase your damage cap by an additional 30% with Glass Cannon sigil. You can obtain it from Curio. (although any hit you take will inflict you with dizzy debuff.)

@@mellowvalentine9354 makes every green potion remove debuffs. It’s fine, but not really worth running just to get rid of dizzy since you can just spin your joystick to get out fast. (Or just not get hit lmao.)
You can also run 2 (any beneficial sigil) v+ with dizzy resistance as its secondary to (with upgrades) mitigate the dizzy effect. I’m assuming this works as I have yet to try it but, it’s a nice additional 30% to the damage cap.

so I have the level 3 sigil gamble but I dont have the pity system the transmarvel box at the bottom, am I just not far enough?

You have to clear all of Roland’s missions on the quest board after you beat the main story
quick note, the war element digil will increase damge cap slightly too as elemental damage an enemy is weak to can increase damgae cap
quick note 2: you will have war elemental and supplementary damage drop from curios (when you get them to mr glasses in seedholow). Both of these increase the damage you deal beyond the damage cap. Supplementary damage will have a chance to proc a 2nd damage number while war elemental makes your attacks hit effective, even if you don't have the right element.
This is just a clue, that I would still need to check: If you check damage in practice, the dummy has no elemental. War elemental still increases the damage there. So it might even raise your damage on fights with no element like bahamut versa or angyu (or whatever ms. hands is called). But I have not checked this. Please verify the war elemental on bosses without elemental weakness yourself.
@@slystaler9514 War elemental does seem to apply on versa and other non-elemental bosses
4 damage cap 5s, War elemental, Damage Supplement pretty mandatory and Tbh character's awakening sigil.
2 dmg sigil sources usually caps then you can just build whatever isn't damage as you please. However always test if you're hitting the cap in the first place. For now due to it I see most self dmg buffs are worthless since 2 dmg sigils like exploit+something else usually caps already. There are a few unique self buffs though.
on my siegfried i'm running crit sigils and thats about it, might have a few offense substats but it's enough for dmg cap rn until i can get dmg cap overmastery
War elemental and supplementary attack sigil can somewhat buff your damage further
well of course, the aim is to:
1. Minimize sigils slots needed for you to reach damage cap (including offensive + damage cap sigils)
2. The next way to increase your DPS has to come from doing "more hits", war elemental somehow breaks damage cap and just provide % bonus to your damage so that's nice, supplementary damage is basically more hits
3. The other way would be to shorten skill cooldown and or SBA gain including Link attacks
4. Any defensive sigils that increases your DPS uptime will theoretically improve your DPS
5. Skills that can cc the enemy like paralyze/slow, etc will also improve your DPS uptime

Ideally the best way to build your character is to full enough slots to cap the DMG CAP Trait, and each should have a 2nd Trait that is primary for your build. This could be CRATE, CDMG, HP, etc. Point being you want your duo sigils to ALWAYS have DMG CAP.
You can’t get damage cap and CDMG etc it’ll have to be white or purplr
Another just great damage cap sigil is damage cap v+ improved dodge. Building both is beneficial to not only your offensive capabilities but also your survival.
Is there a best way to farm the Damage Cap Sigils specificaly from Quests somewhat efficiently ? So far the Lv V rarely ever drops outside of Gacha.
Once you get to proud you’ll get V+ sigils as drops.
I like damage cap but only if you use 3 slot max. 5 slot is only a limitation in build and I don't like.

You’ll still probably need them you’ll just be able to hit higher damage numbers. It’s a lot of min maxing and character by character at that point

Will my crit of normal attack be 100k or will it be higher, cause its crit?
Crit doesn't go over cap they will still do 100k

Yeah damage cap sigils + the character specific sigils are what let me beat the proud difficulty time attack in 6 seconds. Literally 4 million damage in like 6 seconds with Lancelot.
War elemental as a single sigil is likely the best

if you equip more damage cap sigils and your damage increases then its probably capped idk
When you attack and the number has a small golden spark in the center then that hit was at the cap. You can rewind and look at the beginning of this video when he was hitting the dummy and you will see it happen.

What's potent green? Is it a sigil, and if so, which quest can you get it from?
Potent greens is a sigil and u get it randomly from a curio that cures any debuff when used at lvl 15 as long as you have 2 small potion in stock and at lvl 30 when used it cures any debuff and grants immunity without you having to keep at least 2 potions on hand unfortunately u can’t upgrade it so there are two versions a potent greens and a potent greens + When testing this I learned that using this with the glass cannon sigil it cures dizziness on hit I only have the first one meaning there way more sigils out there than we know about
I only recommend using on a ranged character or if your hood at dodging because mutiple hits in succession will cause you to go down easily
@mrferrari5568 there's the ome that stops you from getting dizzy, but I read that someone tried this already, and it didn't work..
That's a training dummy. Do the Proud level difficulty mobs have more defense?

@@Linkaboo7that doesnt have anything to do with defense. Exploiting a weakness applies a damage bonus as well as a cap increase that is equal to the bonus. But it doesn’t ignore defense
So from my testing (which ill admit im not done with yet) they do have higher defense, however, your damage cap is based on your damage output, not necessarily damage dealt
So hitting damage cap on the dummy, you'll still hit it on a Proud mode boss, even tho those numbers are different
Because you know, why wouldn't it be as complicated as possible lol
Like I said, I'm still experimenting and trying to 100% confirm this, but just keep an eye on your numbers when fighting a Proud Boss, you'll know if your capping against them or not
@@HeavyMetalLink05 defense of an enemy can in fact push you back under the cap. You can test this on the dummy. As an attack that wasn’t at cap can suddenly be pushed to the cap when a defense down is applied. For reference any hit with a small golden spark on the number was at cap.

I think it's a literal limit to make the game harder or balance. If there's no damage cap we can just stack all damage sigils and make the end game a joke one shotting bosses. This way they limit they limit the damage we can do and limit the sigil slots
@@josefcayos4026this is exactly right, they are discouraging you from maxing out the damage potential of every single character. Kills build variety. You should one character that has crazy DPS with lots of damage cap unlocks, and your other characters should be doing other things (tanking, healing, status effects & buffs/debuffs, etc ).
@@SliderFury1it’s weird to say it kills build variety when it very explicitly encourages finding ways to hit the cap with as few slots used as possible and makes end game builds have more room for utility and defensive skills. If the cap didn’t exist all those slots would just be tyranny sigils and crit damage sigils. Why are we pretending that damage cap is somehow holding us back from some sick build when you all know exactly what was gonna happen.

Yea having 4-7 of your sigils potentially used for dmg cap seems just a bit flat.... every one ends up being the same... Dmg cap and Stam / Tyranny sigils then a few def sigils...
Doesn't let you experiment or make builds per say.
opposite is true, everyone would simply copy the optimal damage increases. dmg cap is good as its individual basis per char, once youre capped you can run stuff you want. There's also + sigils for double skills.
They should at the very least change the damage number colors when you are at the cap to let you know.
@@matex2207 People still run and copy the same builds w/ dmg cap, even without you'd still need to adjust your character's sigil to play to its strengths (crazy, I know)
Not like you can get away with pure dmg in the later fights anyway, and very few people are actually crazy at the game (or any hunting game for that matter), even less are speedrunner class.
If we're talking meta, meta is weird because it's predicated on what the "best" players run, but they are at such a high skill level that it only matters to them, and is just a general shallow metric that does not take into account the intricacies of the individual player and, in this case, the mission/monster at hand.
"Meta" is a trap because ultimately people follow it blindly, thinking that it is gospel for success, all the while they keep getting downed and missing window DPS times, status, miss opportunity window creation, don't build link, forgoe potions/healing, no support, full selfish... and just fuck up like they're still in story mode.
I defeated all the bosses on proud difficulty, it was fun but now the game is empty and all that's left is this RNG sigil and Proto Bahamut weapons nerd grind . completed the story on ultimate which was so easy the ai in my team can solo it. The creators of this game severely fcked up the end game... Who care if you can do more damage if there's nothing to fight. This damage cap bullshit is so dumb just remove it from the game and increase boss difficulty ffs. If you complete all of the missions there's nothing not even any dialog of congratz just emptiness. Doing any achievements on this game is not DUFFICULT its fcking BORING
There will be more challenging fights in future updates so you are ready now play something else while you wait for the new challenger.
