Is the foam insulation the stuff you buy st Lowe's for plumbing pipes?

I put this same type of insulation on mine, I feel that it has helped tremendously. My wife said she noticed a big difference in the cab temp as well.
I have the soft upper doors and it still keeps the cab warm as well. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Deranged Offroad did something similar and got no significant cooling effect. Check out their video...

They didn't use the foam pipe tubes. Maybe, just maybe this will work better

Yeah he used exhaust pipe wrap, not particularly the correct application. In my trade we wrap boiler lines with fiberglass insulation and the heat is pretty much contained. If you used a thicker wall 3/4” armaflex insulation you’d get way better results.

I have a couple of friends that have done different things and I’ve seen the vid from deranged as well. I haven’t touched mine yet because I ride year round and the cab heat in the winter here in Colorado is Nice! Yes it gets pretty hot in the summer but it’s tolerable. Nothing I’ve seen so far has made a significant difference in my opinion. Personally I’m leaning towards some type of fan motor on a switch in the tunnel to control when I need it.

To larry Allen I understand your dilemma, I recently purchased the 2021 model. The heat in the cold season was great thing to have. I wish there was a way to have some to have the heat in the winter and not in the summer!🤔🤔

Any updates on how well this worked? Summer's hitting Arizona and my new KRX is too HOT! :)

I header wrapped my radiator lines and add the sound deadening like they did. Works great. Probably cooed the cab down a minimum of 30 degrees. Definitely worth the work.
