Theory: It's a metaphor for sexually or just using people.
The fridge doesn't want people reaching inside of it and taking what's in it, causing severe distress as it tries laughing it off and showing no sadness. It only shows it's fear as it's back is turned to people so they don't see it. The person feels like they're less than human, and only an object you can open up and consume it's innards to other people, hence why they're portrayed as a fridge.
That is a sad and heartbreaking theory! It makes sense! Reminds me of the song "Tunnel vision " by Melanie Martinez!!
But for real, why did they make the fridge scared.
The food is it’s organs and it slowly sacrifices itself for the family, but the torture causes so much emotional turmoil and had a mental break down but had to pole it together for the children

The refrigerator is being farmed for food it's organs and kidneys slowly being sacrificed to the let's together bath family the refrigerator is aware of its faith but remains silent knowing it will end badly for them.
What makes me uncomfortable is when the kids are singing with young child voices, and then a second later they’re making baby noises. I don’t know why, but something about it is super unnerving and unnatural.

Baths aren't that common in India. When I visit my hometown, we fill a big bucket with hot water and then use a smaller bucket to put the water around the water around your body.
