1. 1 Yahweh to my Lord hath spoken,
“Sit Thee down at My right hand
Till I make Thy foes a footstool
Whereupon Thy feet may stand.”
2 Yahweh forth shall send Thee;
Zion aid shall lend Thee.
With the scepter of Thy pow’r
Be Thou now the conqueror.
2. 3 In Thy day of pow’r shall praise Thee
People clothed in bright array;
Eagerly they come before Thee
At Thy feet their lives to lay.
Bright as early morning,
Righteous deeds adorning,
Shining as the dew at dawn
Is Thine awesome bannered throng!
3. 4 Yahweh swore, repents He never;
From His oath He’ll not depart.
“Of the order of Melchiz’dek
Everlasting priest Thou art.”
5 Yahweh has appointed:
Christ is the anointed
Of the Father; at His hand,
Furiously He strikes the land.
4. 6 He doth judge among the nations,
And the slain shall fill His path.
He did crush the head of Satan;
Ruined kings shall feel His wrath.
Ev’ry foe is vanquished!
All His work accomplished
7 Drinking from the royal stream
Lifts His head, our righteous King.
