Killer packaging but the inside... Boring to say the least
I used my first ever Sephora $100 reward to buy the Gold palette. I was so proud of that, and I still love it. She left out everything I love about that palette from this palette (the teals and greeny golds). I have no interest in this palette. I don’t even like how gold looks on me. I only like the mix of gold, brown and teal. However, I can see why some people like this palette. Many are still into the minimal eye looks. I also follow Angela Bright and she seems to love this palette. This just isn’t for me, but will probably be popular with the right customers.

In old version I used only brown shades because this brouwns was perfect for my olive skin tone. Teal shades I used maybe 2 or 3 times for all years I have Gold palette. So as for me this new gold palette will be the perfect everyday brown palette for olive skintones (it's not so red and cold as any other brown palette) and I can finally sell my old palette because I only use 4-5 browns in it😁

Honestly though, why are people comparing them, they have different names and concepts. I highly doubt was just doing a update because i did see it for sale this year on her website.
Exactly!!! When I saw this it’s a little too neutral for me and I love neutral palettes and golds so much. But I ended up returning my I need a nude palette and find that the Gold palette was so perfect because the mattes in there add so much depth and the range of different tones of shimmers in that palette are stunning. That’s why I don’t need this one and will still with my Gold palette.

At this rate she’s the colourpop of high end with a monochromatic collection dedicated to every color. I do like the highlighter palette with gradient shades, I’d like to see those in more shades, beige, champagne, peach, pink!
Not even considering buying it but any excuse to watch Angie put on makeup works for me!

I understand why ppl who love color and loved the Gold palette are disappointed, but I also think it's ironic that I don't hear too many complaints about her other fully neutral palettes: Biba, I Need a Nude, Glam, Retro. I think ND is just going for people's undertones lately and she'll come out w smth more editorial later (Xenon was pretty editorial choice).
I love color, but I also 1) have a 9-5 job that doesn't allow me to wear much color and 2) have a yellow undertone. I am completely fine w this no-twist palette bc I can find color easily, but not an all-in-one, true neutral palette for my undertone. Dark teals are one of my least fav shades, so not sad about those gone. I agree 1 shade being a stronger pop of yellow would've been a nice twist tho.
To someone w a different undertone, this might seem like another "brown and yellow palette", but it's not for me. It is very hard to find a neutral palette for a yellow undertone, even tho I don't think it's an uncommon undertone. Like how Golden compares to other ND palettes, pretty much every palette out there is too pink, cool, or orange.
It gets to really subtle differences too. Cool and neutral undertoned ppl would prob consider smth like CP Going Coconuts and CP Nude Mood to be warm, neutral, everyday palettes. On a yellow undertone tho, Going Coconuts is too cool (makes us look dead) with that one odd reddish shade that is too red. Nude Mood is too orange on me. Your neutral, golden undertone has a lot of overlap w mine in terms of what shades seem to naturally compliment or contrast well, but there are still subtle differences: mauves/burgundies look like bruises on me, but pure greys look great.
UD Naked Honey and CP C-3PO work well, but they are more colorful-leaning yellow. The best neutrals I've found are CP's all matte quad She's a Natural (discontinued) and Essence's Nothing Compares to Nude (ok quality, but undertone is perfect).
This reminds me very much of the extended Naked line, how Naked 3 was rosey (ND Dream/Nude) and then Naked Honey was golden. Getting all the undertones covered
I have a strong yellow undertone too and I’ve bought the Golden palette for this very reason! Used it for the first time today and omg it’s the perfect neutral palette for me! I’m not a big colour wearer - I love my nudes - but finding the perfect neutral palette that is neutral on my yellow undertone has been a mission! This is complete perfection xx

If u ever try a bit of color, I recommend lavender, blurples, navy, royal blue, warm olives, and corals/peaches. 😁
i’m with you. i’m a true neutral undertone, i’m also incredibly fair, but warmer tones suit me best. i have warm hair, warm eyes, and then i have severe genetic dark circles.
the worst colors on me are pink, purple, and blue (+ teal, too much of a blue leaning green). i’ve been waiting for this kind of subtle glam palette for my undertones. it’s like i haven’t had to wade through all the pinks, purples, mauves, and grey-leaning taupes over the years to finally get one to suit me from natasha denona the way people are moaning about this palette not being for them. natasha denona is making those reliable palettes for various undertones & i appreciate that.
Omg I was starting to think I was insane for thinking that I’m a neutral yellow because I’ve literally never heard of that before, but apparently it is 😭 I hope one day I can get this palette

For me, I feel that these kinds of brown/gold palettes are perfect for girlie's with brown eyes and an olive skin tone.
I wear brown, gold eyeshadow to make my grey eyes look more blue. Brown eyeshadow really makes blue eyes pop.
And ppl w a yellow undertone. 😁
And people with blue eyes look amazing with gold shadow

I think Natasha Denona is what happens when they listen to comments on the Internet. I understand wanting to sell your stuff it’s happened to Natasha and it’s happened to Pat. Thank goodness we still have indie because I would be crying if interesting colour stories were gone completely.

Pulling out all my brown and gold singles and making my own palette
I have very few makeup regrets. Not owning the original Gold palette is one of them. I'm obsessed with the color story, and I know the quality would be top notch. When I heard about this palette initially, I assumed it would be a re-do in her new packaging. Now seeing that it's not saddens me. Seeing this new basic color story bores me. That's weird because I usually love neutrals. I, too, am accustomed to Natasha putting a spin on things, but this isn't it. I know the quality will be there, but I am underwhelmed. A hard pass.

The one I'm still considering buying is the Yucca palette.

To be fair, I bought Biba a few years ago when I was looking for the perfect neutral palette, and I think what I really wanted was this Golden palette. I don't use the red or gray shades in Biba and I'm never gonna pan that giant palette. But I don't regret it because it introduced me to Natasha Denona! I also think her highlights are incredible. I love the blush trios she released recently.
I don't need a palette with colours I can get from any other brand, I don't need a plumping lip gloss to being with but the last thing anyone needs right now is more lip gloss and I don't need a highlighter face palette with 2 shades I can't use on my skintone. Truly baffled by this collection. Still watched the video because it's Angie🤣

That first look would be beautiful for a classic bridal makeup. This palette bores me to tears and just reminds me how much I am still lusting after the yucca palette.
Yucca is awesome. Grab it if your able. With all of the contrasting colors, I'm able to make so many different looks.

It's funny to see I Need a Nude on you, very pretty colors. On me, those pinks and purples go full on golden brown lol! I'm not even super super cool, I'm neutral-cool, too.

I love both neutral and colorful shadows, too, and I'm glad you are leaning into that. It's helpful to see you use even more shades! Your techniques have really helped me to become even better at applying my eyeshadow. 😊
In the past I jumped the gun buying all the ND palettes, but with this one I still love the original more.
I've seen swatches of this palette & really like the more yellow leaning Camel-Tan shades that don't don't pull too orange BUT I found the 4 gold shimmers a little too redundant & even tho I do not wear Teal shades very often, I think it would have been nice to have the option & would have preferred those 2 shafes of Teal replace 2 of the gold shimmers. It's a beautiful palette for neutral lovers who like softer looks.
Thank you for all of the comparison swatches!! To me, that helps so much. I have Glam & I Need A Nude, so that was able to show me how they differ or are the same. Before this video, I was very uninterested in the palette. Now, I'm....intrigued, I guess? Not "Omg I need it now" but also not "Ugh, no". Haha

I just cannot buy over expensive makeup when ColourPop is just fine. I am cool toned & warm-neutral always pulls orange on me. Not a look I am going for. 🤠
Yeah, I hear people and creators complaining occasionally about too many cool toned neutral palettes these days, but in all honesty, everything these days goes the terracota way. 🤡 And what’s neutral on warm toned skin, is quite orange on cool toned skin. My saving grace now is that I changed my hair colour to auburn/ginger, so, if the neutral shadows seem to lean too much on the orangy side, it goes well with the hair colour, but when I had ice blonde hair, then it was quite a clash as both hair and skin were cool toned. Even tho it supposed to be a neutral look matching mentioned features, it nearly always seemed to come out a lot warmer than intended.
I also find it hard to get a neutral/cool toned lipstick. They nearly always look warm on me. 😩 But that’s also some kinda trend. I remember one lady comparing MAC lip liners from 90s and these days under the same name, but the modern versions were so much more orange! I’m like Angie - loving the entire rainbow - but when I want neutral, I want it to be god damn neutral. 🤡
Loved your side by side swatches of the other palettes. I have a neutral palette but it’s a few years old, when I’m ready to replace it the gold palette is a good contender!
Yeah I’m not a fan of this color story, it’s repetitive and not fun, the original gold palette was much more interesting.
Its interesting how both looks worked with your eye color. The gold look brings out the green on your eyes while the other look brings out the blue.

I honestly don’t get behind the hype about ND pallettes. They all look to much one colored and one toned. They now me. Same here … the whole interesting bits of the old palette got taken out and the new mattes are worse than the old mattes. I really don’t get it
Her palettes used to be really creative out-there shades but now that she’s been in Ulta for the past year or so, she’s catering more to consumers and making “normal” everyday consumer friendly palettes with every launch, or whatever is currently trending, which is why she released hyper natural because of the “no makeup makeup trend” and now neutral palettes are in and will always be bestsellers. interesting color palettes (Yucca, Retro Glam) barely sell. The shades following one color story (like ColourPop) are supposed to be complimentary to create a cohesive or monochromatic look which is more on trend these days, rather than having vastly different colors randomly bunched together that necessitate tying in another palette.
I'll stick with the C3PO palette from Colourpop. While ND formula is good, I don't wear these shades enough to justify this palette.

I was so sad I missed out on the original gold palette so I have ordered this collection, I wasn't going to get the highlighter trio until I read about the new formula, it's interesting to me that she is following Linda Halberg and Danessa in making multi use products as it says you can use the highlighters on your lips. I have no idea how it will look on me but I wanted to try it and wow does the new formula look amazing on your cheeks! I am relieved the gloss doesn't sting too much, the Charlotte Tilbury one looks amazing on but it stings and cools your lips for a long time! I also have the bronze palette which I have to be so careful using because it is so warm leaning, so some more neutral browns for the base help it to work on me. I have the ColourPop gold palette that some people are comparing this to and I must have got a bad one as mine is so dusty and dry and has been from day one. I really need to go through and declutter some of those old palettes.
I do agree with the desire for a yellow matte and yellow sparkle.

I love this! I prefer two looks different eye. Because we can see the true potential of the palette. I also will pass on this as I mainly like colourful eyeshadow. And I need a nude is my perfect neutral palette. I don’t need anymore eyeshadow
For me, this is a palette I needed. I have a lot of colorful palettes but needed a neutral to reach into. So many colorful palettes don't have enough mattes or light enough colors.
The golden palette looks like the gold version of the Xenon Palette. She said she used 9 shadows from the original palette in this one. I have watched just about everybody use this palette and do different looks, but they all eventually look the same brown and gold. I was on the fence, but I think I just got off the fence and I will not pick it up. Luv your channel!😄💟💚
Does anyone know if you can buy on Natasha's website in or for the EU? Does it get shipped from the States or England and you get taxed or does she send from within the EU? The palettes are freakin made in Italy...
Edit: I cannot buy on Sephora because I want to send it to my brother in the Netherlands to bring along when he comes visit in Chile. I would prefer him not having to go through buying them and me reimbursing though.
You can buy from Natasha Denona’s website and let it ship to EU, no problem! I live in the Netherlands and I ordered for the first time last week :) You can choose the country somewhere below the website, through a drop down menu. Shipping costs to the Netherlands is €7 euros, but when you make a bigger order it’s zero when spending at least € 150,00 euros, if I remember correctly!
I’m passing on this pallet. I like my rosy colors and am not a yellow gold lover. The highlighters looks lovely but that is quite a bit as far as price for one person. Imo this may be more economical for a mua. I was trying to justify it as an eye shadow crossover but I just think there’s other releases I’d rather have from other brands.

Beautiful packing...not for me...too many golds, if I want one gold I have it in other Natasha Denona palettes and the rest of the shades...not a fan of the warm and the neutral I have them all in other ND palettes (maybe not exact but similar enough). Only thing I like is the cream to powder white cream and the sparkly white...

As a brown eyes girlie, very excited. As a pale girlie, I wish ND would do a few more light shades of highlighters. Even the last launch the lightest one was way too dark. MAYBE the first two could match. Maybe 😂

I wish I could find the original gold pallet. The new gold pallet looks like any other gild pallet.
Could you please do some looks combining Natasha Denona's last few releases of midi eyeshadow palettes?
Just to give us some ideas/inspiration mixing the Gold, Nude, Xenon, and Yucca palettes. I find it difficult to create eyeshadow looks using a couple of different palettes with different color stories to create a look compared to having just one in front of me.

It’s definitely one dimensional, which for the price and quality is super bad value.
The old gold palette was better.
This palette is just pure dissapointment. There is 1 row of “new” shades on the top and the rest is from OG Gold. It gives Pat McGrath Stars Wars sticker palette vibes - of course points for packaging, ND at least changed that. On the website it says that this was inspired by OG AND liquid metals - and I’m like it makes sense when you look at it as a whole but the new shades are just gold and white gold I guess?
My biggest qualm is that midi palettes used to be extensions of mini or big palettes. 3/4 of old palette just don’t cut it. She used to unapologetically change the whole concepts of palettes (mini Retro to midi Retro or Triochrome to mini Triochrome) and now? This. Like it’s nice for what it is but it’s just warm neutral palette - I have only one 5 pan neutral palette and some neutrals here and there in my other palettes and even I can dupe it. Okay I sound a little bit salty because that packaging is just pure gold - 😅 pun intended.

I’m going to miss my Lime Chrome. That is one of my favorites in the Gold palette. I did buy the Golden palette though.
I already have the ColourPop C3PO palette and I love it, so I will not be picking this up. I have SO MANY ND palettes and the collector in me is having FOMO, but the realist in me knows I don’t need it at all. I am disappointed in the last two releases from ND. No twist and no adventure…Just neutrals that I already have in other palettes. The Yucca palette is my favorite recent palette and it has golds and yellows in it with lots of twists. I actually LOVE the bronze palette and I would say that it is my #1 color story from her.
This seems so ONE NOTE!!! How many similar browns, skin color tans, and golds do you need? This just isn't for me even though I own a lot of her other midi palettes. I would like a more curated palette with at least some pops of color, like the original.
I don't like mixing and matching either. But I think if she released the gold palette, people might think say it's much like the yucca? You can't please everyone 🤷♀️ also eyeshadow isn't "in" right now, so big brands are releasing a barely there neutral palette if any eyeshadow palette.

Maybe I'll get this palette and just create my own palette with colors from her other natural palettes. That could give partially-used palettes more ooomph. 🤷♀️
Honestly, this is the first ND palette that I'm actually considering buying in a while. I don't like cool toned and mauve shadows, and I have all the red, orange and yellow warm toned shadows that I need, I'm looking for a leaning warm but neutral palette, if that makes sense!
I'm so excited for the highlighter palette. I love a glowy bronzer, I'm a light medium skin tone, so I think I can use all the shades. This seems like the highlight (haha) of the collection!
Random comment: I love that you’re still into loud highlighters. I got the blush sticks from Iconic London and they included a small bottle of their liquid highlighter. Holy cow, I’d forgotten how bling it is! I’m already attached to it 😂.
The last few palettes Natasha has made are quite boring and dull. Personally, I think they are not dark skin friendly. I will not be purchasing any of her new palettes.
I’m watching because I love you but the golden eyeshadow palette isn’t interesting for me I didn’t even like the original one 😊 I tend to like the smaller eyeshadow luxury palette now a days
I feel that ND use to make makeup for makeup people. More she makes palettes that sell in a store. Circo loco would collect dust in Sephora. Golden would be an easy sell. I don’t love it but I get it. Sadly, we aren’t the ND market anymore
I would love to see this compared to Colourpop’s Golden Hour palette. I’m not convinced that this Golden Palette is worth the price that Natasha Denona demands. The colors and formulas do not seem to be special enough to warrant the price.
Ohh I wonder how this would compare with the Colourpop golden hour palette 🤔 As a neutral yellow girl, it’s actually very difficult to find makeup that works with me because it’s all too cool or too warm
For those of us that wear green or blue well............this palette is perfect.
Golden Palette is basically I Need A Nude but for tanner / warmer skin tones. I hadn’t realized though that she was on a monochrome series until you had also brought up Xenon. Given that lens, I think it makes sense for her to release the Golden this way, commercially speaking. A make up collector or enthusiast may already have the previous Gold and Yucca palettes, and may still buy the Golden for the sake of completing the collection. It’s almost like she created these monochrome palettes as a gateway for more people to get into the brand.
I just stumbled on your video and really enjoyed your review! I have a similar skin tone and eye color and have been searching for a review of this pallette with someone with my coloring! I also enjoy how you applied the shadow and gave us 2 completely different looks! I am going to check out your other videos! ❤❤

This is like the grown up sister to the Juvia's Place Warrior palette, I used the heck out of that gold and brown palette because it worked well with my warm brown eyes when I needed a generic glam look! But, that also means I have these colors.
But like I commented under someone else, this feels a bit like when Urban Decay extended the Naked like to capture all the skintone options. Naked being a mix, Naked 2 a bit lighter and more cool, Naked 3 rosey, Naked Cherry being very pink, Naked Honey golden, Naked Heat warm clay, Naked Unloaded being those coral nudes, etc. Looks like ND is just covering all the same bases! Taking over that market share

Shades, it’s just so boring to look at. The old Gold palette, even though I never really used the teals or green duochromes, it was at least prettier to look at while I did the most basic brown and gold (Cava is the only shimmer I used, lol) look. Oh well. Maybe she will give us some pretty teals in a midi palette for Christmas, and then we can build our own palette.
The Golden palette for me is a downgrade from og gold, both in color story and formulation. I love golds so I am disappointed. If the shimmers had the formula from glam face palette I would have been in love! I will stick to my og gold and yucca ❤ what makes my buy a palette is the shimmer formulation, and indie brands are winning there, it’s a shame they don’t do color stories like this
Hi Angelica, I love both of your eyeshadow creations,both are beautiful in their own right, i love the look of this palette, and the highlighter palette is something that I can use on the eyes as well as the cheeks, I hope her mini for this collection includes a teal,mustard,burgundy or duo chrome shade in it. You can definitely dupe this. It took me a while, but definitely a lot of similar shades in my collection. I might get it when its on sale, but I just can't with the price 😬 Maybe I'll feel differently about her fall pallet, but I can wait foe this one. That said it's beautiful 💛
Nice palette but not worth the money, too expensive for the average consumer
Natasha Denona did the same thing as Pat McGrath… straight down the plodding middle of the road. Predictable. The innovation is gone. I get that being bland means you sell more units because it appeals to more people but when you bleed out all of the creativity and twists entirely… you’re no longer an artist or an artist led brand.
Danessa Myricks is still with us in these capacities at least.

I have the original gold palette and it’s way more interesting!! The only thing that compels me is the shade cava, it’s one of my favourites of all time 😅 I wish she came out with a huge pan of that one, I would buy 30
Both eyes are beautiful on you! I don't do neutrals, they look horrible on me, but you could put sawdust on your eyes and it would be amazing!
