I store my most loved palettes in a dollhouse i made from a kit, painted matte black and took out the vertical walls leaving basically a bookcase. I put it on castors so i can swivel it to the front when it's not in use.
Creepy cute is my aesthetic, i guess.

I’m 53, and my makeup preferences are similar… clean girl on the “base makeup” and fun on the eyes. Been that way since 2019.
Yay Torriden sponsorship! I’ve spent the last few months transitioning to Korean skincare. For the most part it’s sooo much gentler than western products, and my skin is much happier with me.
I have all of my makeup in a ikea shelf.. I store my palettes like books and I have an acrylic organizer for my foundations, mascaras, concealers... But everything is on sight. It may seem more chaotic but I see EVERYTHING I have so I don't forget!
Two things:
1. I’m wearing mint green eyeshadow today too!
2. I put all of my face palettes in a basket right next to my vanity and it does work. I look through it every time I do my makeup now.

My mom used to said to me since a kid "Remember! when you start to thrill about new things in front of you, eventually you just left something used to be good behind without notice....and if you start miss it, meaning that time for you to organised it before lost forever" which me as a 5-6 years old can't process it 😮. Now I'm know it all too well especially for me as makeup lovers always try to rearranged my vanity once a month to made sure every corner of money that i spent with getting good amount of use before expired hahaha...😂.
make up lover here. Like, since 1978! If it starts to smell, throw it out. The expiration dates are so that you buy it faster and the company makes more money. There are no organic particles in it and if you're keeping it out of the air and the light, you're probably good for a lot longer than the date says. But really, smell everything every time you use it. Eyeshadows can last forever unless they have organic materials in them. Or oil. Oil goes bad pretty fast, like within a year. Those bird bees lip bombs they only last a year at best before they start smelling gross.

I was just thinking in my car on the way home that I needed to really go through my makeup. 😂 I saw a short with someone asking who is orange lipstick for.... the way I wore smashbox out loud everywhere everyday for a yearish solid, the word favorite isn't even strong enough to discibe - makeup I forgot that I forgot.
I love the theme of this video and would love to have it repeated again.
I forgot about the Sol bronzer. I wish it was sold at Ulta, but maybe I'll make a ColourPop order in the future. 🦋👩🦰

Those palettes are awsome! I need a Cosmic Brushes palette.
We are always being tempted by new and better. While there may be products that are new in several ways, the rest is just the same with a lot of buzz words. My collection is small, so I’m able to see everything I own. I’ve now reached 20 palettes and that’s my limit. I can duplicate any look with what I have and have over time, found great products for my face.
The Neo Nude foundation is still my absolute favorite - I have my summer and winter shades still, but it looks like they're phasing it out (in Europe, at least). I think it became a victim of bad marketing, honestly - when it launched, nobody, not even Armani, really seemed to know what it was and kept calling it a tinted moisturizer, then it fell off the radar. Then they updated the packaging (not the formula, fortunately) as one instead of as foundation, but it isn't! It's a gorgeous, glowy, natural medium-coverage foundation and it's SO GOOD and I am so sad.

I like face pallets for travel and that one is so pretty!
I have been forgetting some palettes as I don’t have a large make up space and they get put into the drawer. I am going to do a stocktake and assign a number to each palette and then use a random number generator to decide which palette I use each day. It should result in some interesting looks!
AuDHD here & if it isn’t in front of me, it doesn’t exist 😅 every month or so I take my “in rotation” basket of makeup & cycle all of it out w the makeup I have stashed in my collection so I can try to actually use everything! It’s kind of like shopping, too - I’m always like “waaaooow I forgot I had that!” But for everything, every time 🫠 highly recommend!

I need to periodically check on my clothes, shoes, books/comics, Dvds, nail polishes and makeup to make sure what I'm using and what I'm ignoring and why. If I'm not using something iin a while t goes in a corner (like the 'bad bag' or a coffin shaped magnetic palette) so they do not clutter my vision when I need to reach out to my project pans and my everyday favourites. At least a couple of times per year I rummage in the 'bad' zones and see if I want to use something. If not I will have to let it go. I'm not an eyeliner person (I use thin bent brushes with eyeshadows) so now all my eyeliners are being used to write to do lists and mark the calendar, the not used nail polishes and bad makeup brushes or applicators are used to paint DIY projects, and new and not used things /like when I hoard backups and realize I do not need so many) get gifted to friends and family or sold online. I managed to donate big bags of clothes and shoes thanks to my declutters since 2020, the only good thing which came from that global Pandemonium. XD

So many of these products are fantastic. I love the Sol bronzer and still want to try the neo nude foundation - I’m in NYC so it’s too hot to wear atm but I’m going to try to remember to order some in the fall. Have to go through my collection, as well, I have so many items I haven’t use in years 😅

I have a very small office with a lot of stuff in it & wanted to set up a vanity under the window for natural light (bathroom vanity has no window) I needed a narrow & not too wide vanity to fill the space. I got a small desk with drawer (it was one unit) flanked by 2 small drawer units with a file drawer in the bottom. Both came from Ikea. The deepest drawer stores my larger palettes. I used wooden plate racks & store them standing up like plates or how we used to store our LPs. Smaller 9 pan palettes I store on their sides front facing me across the front of the drawer. If they're too wide for the drawer's depth, I just stack them behind the 9 pans. The drawers are deep enough for a standard lipstick or nail polish to fit standing up. Some people store their palettes like books on a bookshelf & that works too. I only want what I use on my actual vanity (brushes & liners are always out)everything else goes in the 7 drawers of my small desk. When it no longer fits easily, I know I need to declutter.
I totally relate to this. I have moved on from so many different textures and finishes and applications. I have moved on from a few brands as well 🧡

Re: palette storage. I switched to book trees and it changed everything. The majority of my palettes are out for display and the footprint is rather minimal.

I spray with whatever setting spray, after I pick up the product on the brush. Look for one with Glycerin in it, makes it stick better :)

I have the same Ensley reign palette and it is the worst palette I have! I never use it because the mattes are so patchy and dry ): I never have this issue with the beautiful, buttery blend bunny mattes. (And Blend Bunny doesn’t use AI!)
