Great review and a stunning watch. I want one! Seiko began updating their prospex divers with a small lume plot at 3 o’clock a few years ago in order to meet newer ISO standards while still keeping the date complication. I’ve noticed that the newer turtle and samurai models still don’t have this update. I’m guessing there’s some work around if the PADI models are still deemed compliant without 3 o’clock lume. Or maybe I got the wrong info. Haha. (Not a complaint by the way, just an observation. Still want one 😁).
My mistake. I’ve noticed they to have the small lume plot! Can’t believe I owned one without noticing. Too many watches at the time I guess. 🤣

If you are in London, ON I would check out Pfaff Jewellers. Lots of other good options if you travel closer to the GTA. Cheers
All prices on all watches have gone up from a decade ago. It’s not just Seiko.

I sold my SRPA21 a while back and have bit of seller’s remorse but now I think I’m going to upgrade to this with a strapcode and mm clasp

Seiko divers are always best on rubber. Put it on a blue tropic to go with the dial and call it a day.

When I see that cyclops on a beautiful dial: grabs torch lighter.
For this price, if Seiko have a 6R movement inside, I will call it fairly priced, but not cheap. With a +45/-35 4R36, it’s a rip off. Surely we can calibrate it ourself to get better accuracy, but most will never do that

Likely made in Malesia if it doesn't have the Japan branding on it. Not necessarily a bad thing, but some people prefer the JDM models.

Looks like you got look with an alligned cyclops, i was not so lucky. The bezel was aligned so i guess youll never get it all wirh Seiko
Ummmm. Says “diver’s” but it’s missing a glowing pip at the 3 on the dial. Not COSC certified?
Yeah, I was wondering how they got away with that for the ISO certification. It's definitely not COSC certified for chronometer accuracy, lol

There is a small lume index at the 3, on outside of day date. hard to see with the cyclops.
Look super closely to the right of the cyclops. Guys this is a daily watch for wearing. If you don’t like bracelet, use strapcode or crafter blue
Just bought a new one on on eBay for $355 + tax…
I like the turtle than it's Samurai and Sumo cousins.
Just my opinion
1. The bracelet - 800 dollars and you get a 20 year old pressed metal clasp
2. Cyclops date window - such a beautiful dial shame the date takes up so much room
3. Case is to large - Mini turtle would be better
I like the PADI series, I own a PADI chrono, but this one is a miss for me.
mini turtle is not even a turtle, if you have 6.5" and above you'll be fine wearing a turtle.
