    I have a complete, but decrepit Cavalier C51. While not the same, the core elements of the restoration are the same as the Vendo 39. This series has been invaluable to show me what all will be involved in the project. I can't thank you enough!

    THANK YOU MARC!!!..... is what we ALL are saying at this point, sir!!! You have been a superb guide through this break-down and re-build of a classic VENDO 39 machine!!!! I, myself, cannot wait for your next tutorial video of the future, original Coca Cola machine that you will be walking us through, sir. Marc, you should be working for COCA COLA, yourself.....teaching those people the art of breaking down and rebuilding their machines. You are a Wizard at this, sir!!!! Again, Thank You so much for this great 14 part video of a Coke machine breakdown, repair, and rebuild, sir. We'll ALL be waiting for your next video series to come out on RUclips!!!! Take care, sir. See ya!!!!!!

      @@sodatimerestorationsof course thank you! No sir it’s still all red. I bought it from an older gentleman that got it from his mother that worked at the old pharmacy where it was originally in use. It was converted to a 10 cent machine somewhere in there but still has the original 5 cent decal on the coin door.

    Marc, truly great series! This is a goldmine of knowledge for anyone who wants to work on one of these machines. Wonderful tips and tricks all along the way! Great camera-work and explanations! I'm currently restoring my V-39 and frequently reference your episode that corresponds to what I am currently working on. I just finished my initial blocking and am prepping to shoot hi-build primer. So, I just wrapped up your Part 6 and am proceeding to your Part 7. Based on your input, I have decided to go with your vinyl decal masking approach of painting the embossed letters instead of hand-painting. That probably saved me a lot of agony! 🙂I have already watched the entire series, so that I could plan ahead. Again, thank you SO MUCH for this series!!
    For your records, my V-39 has serial number FA 3038 and is located in Texas.

    Hey, but I have an opportunity to buy a vendo 39 for $500. Needs painting and a new power cord. It has all the original parts and body is in overall good shape. This is my first machine so i was wondering, does that sound like a good price?

    • @sodatimerestorations
      @sodatimerestorations  11 месяцев назад

      Yes that’s a great price ! If compressor is working and getting cold , has the drum, and it takes money !
      I have paid double that!😊

    I think I have a 1951 Vendo 39 Coke Machine, but that crank handle is stuck. I can't rotate it counter clockwise to open the door. Is there some trick to make it open? If I put a dime in the crank handle will crank down like you are getting a coke, but when I try to rotate it counter clockwise to open it it hit something, doesn't hardly move that way. but it will crank down with a dime. Do have any idea or advice? Thank you.

    • @sodatimerestorations
      @sodatimerestorations  7 месяцев назад +1

      Good evening! They can get that way!
      So you’re not able to open coin door ?
      If it gets stuck , take a rag and cover crank handle and use a hammer and tap it counter clockwise until it gets unstuck! I would then take crank off and soak overnight in a lubricant!
