Walked past this building but couldn't get into the elevator as apparently it was being serviced by a Schindler tech. But anyway the inside buttons have annoyingly been replaced to Dewhurst so I couldn't be bothered to film this (instead I've got another original 1960s Schindler somewhere in Tsim Sha Tsui, albeit with non pop-out buttons).

Boa ey was für eine schrammelkiste.
Der Glockenton klingt richtig gut wie in einer Straßenbahn

Did you have a plan to look for where the motor room was? I would have done the same, but not sure why the locals are scared of doing this, even if there is no plan to go inside if unlocked.

Visited on 13 February 2018. Sadly, the COP has been modernised. Everything else is original.

Nice but sadly a little bit grotty.

yep there are TONS of these old buildings in hong kong with similar designs. you have to go up some stairs from the street Level sometimes as high as 2 storeys to reach these grotty lifts, On the top of those stairs usually some old man security guard reading a chinese News paper and a small desk in front of the lifts. must be one of the worse Jobs ever
