The lights are always flickering because in Denmark, the electricity operates at 50 hertz while in America, electricity operates at 60 hertz and since your handycam is operating at 60FPS, the hertz cycle doesn't match as it would in America. Pretty cool!
I could see the rundetarn in the background when you where riding the Schindler. The rundetarn is a very interresting building (sadly no elevator if I remember correctly) but it has a continues spiral ramp (a helix) inside of it. I have been in that building and it's weird but totally awsome.
And the other way round, you can also see the glass shaft of the second elevator from the rundetarn, and then I couldn´t find it at first when I looked for it, but finally I did.
Do you know if the 2 antique elevators will stay original, or are they going to be removed soon? The Thrige elevator has a different retiring cam setup from most American swing door elevators, it is mounted facing towards the doorway from the side. Most swing door elevators I have been on have the retiring cam facing towards the wall of the shaft the door is on.
I'm sure that's a 3300. Most of them only show the arrow inside the cab upon arrival or even don't show anything. They won't show the arrow while moving while the 5500 mostly does. The door sound makes me even sure that isn't a 5500.
It is a late model of 3300, watch IDLift3000's video for proof. They use Fermator door components not Sematic door components (although Sematic components can be installed as an option, usually for glass doors).
DieselDucy OMG!😀😀😀😀😀 I just want you to know that I'm a big fan of your vids and I really want to start creating content like this! I live in Kingsport TN if you want to film some pretty cool elevators. there is a manual pull rope elevator at an old factory that was made in the 40s that I got to ride, There is also a vintage 1960s or 70s (not really sure) Dover with classic fixtures. I hope I didn't offend you in any way by writing that comment😀 but there is at least 2 old elevators in Kingsport that you would like. Just thought u might want to know. My name is Aaron Price and I'm 13. Thanks man! Aaron Price
Wow you really love copying Beno first the detailed look at the Thyssenkrupp ISIS, now elevator/Lift tours!?!?! Actually your copying Beno's lift adventures.
+Rahan omsi 2 content and more I've been doing building tours for years and as the original elevator enthusiast here on RUclips I'm gonna be constantly improving my content. I'm doing what i enjoy doing
+DieselDucy actually a friend of mine at work came up with the name elevaTOURS and anytime I get the opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at an elevator I'm gonna take advantage of it.
Hungry Guy The entire rest of the world is not big on safety. Only in the USA are stringent safety codes sometimes adheres to. The big push for accepting the International code or International standards is a huge step backwards compared to American standards.
Hungry Guy The thing is Europeans have something called 'common sense'...unlike with Americans, in most countries you don't have to tell people not to spill hot coffee on themselves or they could get a burn or that it's a bad idea to swallow bleach. Americans are a special case, they have to be treated the same way you would treat a child in most other countries!
Oh yeah. Having an open elevator shaft next to a stairway whee you can inadvertently place your hand in the wrong spot and have your arm amputated. Or place a large package inside the elevator and have it crush you when the elevator starts to move because it got caught on the lip of the floor moving past. Yup, that's common sense for sure...
If you are referring to 2:35 or so in the video...it is pretty clear that the only opening is above a persons head...as you can see, Diselducy has to lift the camera over his head to get the shot of the elevator moving. It is also NOT near the stairs, which start on the opposite side of where he is filming. In no way could you accidently get your hand caught there...you would practically need a ladder to reach that spot.
With the exception of germany, where I´m from. Elevators without inner doors that can be used by everyone are very hard to find in my home country; same is true for such ones that run in a more or less open shaft. In Vienna that can be found in every fifth office building, in Berlin (that is actually well known for its historical elevators) you have to look for it.
the two original elevators are excellent. modern one looks nice too.
I went here in 2022 alone and both the Titan and Thrige elevator are thankfully still original. Didn't even bother to film the Schindler one haha.
Awesome. I love the thirge
@@DieselDucy Same, the Thrige was more interesting than the Titan one IMO.
The first one was the coolest IMO! Awesome video!!!
Nice video! Looking forward to see more and some of your takes from Helsinki. I believe this was built by Thrige-Titan in 1961
I really enjoyed meeting you!

yeah i noticed that.
It is a pain. I may look and see if I can use 50 FPS in final cut.
That new Schindler is a Schindler 3300 MRL. Do you know the name of the song used in the video?
This makes me nostalgic this was the first video I watched from you
I could see the rundetarn in the background when you where riding the Schindler. The rundetarn is a very interresting building (sadly no elevator if I remember correctly) but it has a continues spiral ramp (a helix) inside of it. I have been in that building and it's weird but totally awsome.

AWESOME AND THE BEST! Second elevator is Schindler 3300.
Slovenian Elevators no actually it’s a Schindler 5500
Second one is definately 3300. 5300 is an office model but was discontinued some time ago.
as always a nice video again ;-)
Awesome elevators!
The big item rapped in black at 3:43 and 6:51 may have been the original cab! lol probably a refrigerator
Do you know if the 2 antique elevators will stay original, or are they going to be removed soon?

+upanddownadventures from what I know no more mods there
Went there in 2022, both are still original and unchanged.
Can confirm that, been there too in march 2022.
Hey Dieselducy. If you still Arne in Copenhagen, there is a couple of paternoster elavators. One of them is located at Pilestræde 61
I don't think he ever got to ride any paternosters.
+MrOrthopedia rode 3
Did you get it on video?
+MrOrthopedia yep :) coming soon
That is definatly a Schindler 3300, with FIGS fixtures. (I should know, coming from a country where Schindler is the most popular lift company).
I'm sure that's a 3300. Most of them only show the arrow inside the cab upon arrival or even don't show anything. They won't show the arrow while moving while the 5500 mostly does. The door sound makes me even sure that isn't a 5500.

I like the old elevators the best
cool elevator dieselducy
That Schindler is just like the one I filmed in America a Schindler 5500
But they recently introduced FI GS fixtures to the US when 3100 was introduced in September 2016.
ElevatorsinRussia You mean October 2016?
Nope.
How long are u going to stay there for?
The elevator at 3:43 is a SCHINDLER 5500!
Legend has it that if you comment early, deiselducy will reply to your comment
+Tech Bro's Gaming Channel I try to reply as best as I can :)

LOL! "I fart"
Why don't you films some lifts/elevators in the UK.
Rahan omsi 2 content and more I really hope to get there someday. Wanna meet up with the uk Filmers
Door close button works on some Schindler elevators? That's bizarre
nice
Because normally it doesn't work on Schindler elevators
It was a glass 5500! (The Schindler)
WRONG!! That's a late model of 3300, watch IDLift3000's video for proof.
Okay but i have to admit it does look like a 5500
I wonder what's on -1 if it's locked off.
Probably the basement. Would have been cool to see
4:00 well atleast schindler is one of the actually really good modern elevator brands so the mod doesnt seem so bad
It was nice
The second elevator looks like Schindler 5500
Today, this building is 123 years old!
I Fart! LOL!
No! It does not mean "In speed" it means "In use"
It also means in motion.
I just did LOL
first!
😀👍👍
Schindler 5500

Europeans aren't big on safety, are they? Or maybe they just don't have as many lawyers per capita as in America...
