This is what I been looking for. I just wished you had a version for a Surge too. Great all around. Will get one soon. Keep up the great work. I can see your product on Best Damn EDC and Blade Hq.
Hey Metro! Blast from the past, I remember as you put it, "back in the day" (dang that makes me feel OLD lol), when E510 did his, them when you started designing and having stuff printed... Good to see your still at it! (AK-Adventurer from EDCF, a million years ago)
This makes the skeletool perfect and is what it’s been missing. I carry mine daily and inevitably use it on something every day. I’ll be ordering one of the hammers.
The skelitool has been my favorite EDC for years now . It gets a hard life as I work as a handyman . The best part for opening paint cans is right where the screw bit sits in the closed position .
Adds additional utility to the multitool; the downsides are (1) the pry may not be pocket-friendly & may therefore hook & tear up liners & pockets; & (2), since the hammer insert adds to the overall length of the multitool, it may render its accompanying leather (or Denier nylon) pocket case useless.
Awesome to have you back! Your slingshot build vids are the best online. I just dredged the depths of my sub list to find your channel and get some inspiration for a new shooter. I never comment on videos but stumbled on this new upload and had to let you know how stoked I was to see you're still fighting the good fight! Hope to see more activity soon mate.
Inflation? June 2023 = starting at $48.34, several more expensive options. Not including shipping ($12 to US), processing ($2.35), taxes (?), screws ($2 or $3). 🙂
Really like this, just wish it didn't have the hook on the end if it's not really usable for prying (so it fits in the pocket better) and wish it wasn't 1/2 the price of another Skeletool.
Man a bunch of negative comments. I get there are Leatherman tools already with a hammer but way more expensive from what I have seen and have a bunch of tools someone may not use. A used skeletool on fleabay doesn't cost near as much as a new tool with the hammer anyways. For the use I am using the pry works great, hammer is good and the tool will fit in a most pouches. I don't get why people assume anyone is trying to frame a house with a multi-tool hammer attachment anyways...I'm sure this will get some feathers ruffled. Great mod and thanks for the video.
Any chance of some videos of the other skeletool products you produce? Ie the two pry bars and the slingshot mod. Thanks very much, really love these add-ons.
I've never been a Skeletool fan, but this is super cool! You should send one to Mike at Last Line of Defense (on YT)... he's a gear reviewer and a total SKeletool fanboy 😁
Is it heavy? I could find any info on the shapeways site. Because if skeletool + hammer weighs more than 210g, I'll prefer free p2 with built-in hammer surface and a lot of other 1hand opened tools
i was walking down the tracks to an appointment and found one of these leatherman tools this one and had i known back then it had a hammer attachment i could buy i wouldn't have lost it, i had it clipped into my pocket a few weeks after finding it and lost it while riding my mountain bike since then every single knife or other tool with a pocket clip gets the clip removed and goes all the way into my pocket and i haven't lost anymore tools yet
I’ve seen a bunch of these Laser Sintered parts lately by shape ways which is super cool... Why isn’t anyone showing the strength of the finished piece? My understanding is that it’s supposed to be “as strong as regular metal”.
Neeko 78 I would categorize this final product to be on par with a softer stainless steel. So far my opening of paint can, smashing roof ice and various other tapping, I haven’t seen any visible damage.
Eric Au- Cool! I just learned about this Sintering process. Seems like game changing technology for the average person to design something and get reasonably priced access to the expensive technology. Thanks for the reply.
You don't work construction. This makes a fist work instead if the butt end of your drill for small crap..won't do nails. Does work for anything you would like to use a fist for but is made of sharp machined metal.
I received the Hammer/Jammer for Christmas and got no insert or Screws.. How do I get them??? UPDATE a week later, I ordered the missing parts.. Shapeways pushed me to someone else. It cost me $2.00 and would have been more had they not given me a code, it would have been like $12 total for the screw part. I really want to like it. Looks like it would be cool as I love leathermen tools.. I’ve heard nothing since they have my extra money. If you have anything real to do with this product you might respond..
So the hardware has to be bought separate? With an $11 flat rate shipping for a $50+ part with $10 shippiny for a multi tool that runs $75ish or $90ish for the cx. Am I getting this all correct? Love the mod but this makes it almost the same price as the entire tool.
You'll have to take it up with Canada Post and USPS. Recent changes has forced us to use small packet air instead of being able to mail them with a stamp. The hardware specs are located on the Shapeways listing, you are entitled to source your own hardware.
Hey man, I just bought one of these hammer/pry inserts for my skeletool. And I'm having trouble finding the hardware for this. Is there a Link or a better direction you can point me in? Thanks
Does it come with the screws? On the shapeways website it says you need to purchase them separately and it's $14 just for the small screws because the shipping is $11
Shapeways is the manufacturer of the parts while I am the distributor of the screws. I know It's a bit of a pain but it's the best option at the moment.
Same. I tried contacting the maker but never heard back. He doesn’t provide dimensions for the insert so it’s impossible to know which one to get. There’s a link to a hardware kit but it’s almost $15.00 with shipping.
How do I purchase the set with screws. I want the nickel plated hammer stammer. The screws are charging me 10 for shipping. I prefer to the get the set all together
There is a free shipping code on the listing, enter it and check "free shipping' at check out. We do not see the product, Shapeways does the manufacturing and ships directly to you. We only provide the screws.
It hard to get those magnets out? (or they just come out with a vertical tap or two? like if you dropped it from a couple feet right on that flat surface?)
Hi, I'm really interested in both the Hammer/Jammer and the Mini Utility Knife for the Skeletool CX I own. I cannot sent you a message through shapeways website to reach you, so I ask from here... Do you provide the necessary screws for the installation of each mod, or do I need to purchase them separately? Thank you in advance. Greetings from Spain.
Hello everyone I was wonder if you can tell me witch color would go best with the rx in orange and the cx in black thanks also Will it still fit in the nylon sheath thanks I appreciate it
Tim Obrien the RX would pair nicely with the polished Nickel finish and the CX would be nice with the matte black or polished black. Depends on what you like for texture.
Looking at Shapeways, the Hammer/Jammer looks like the larger round hole on it now looks 1/4 hex bit shaped instead (looking at the 360 3d rendering which says is supposed to show the most up to date design). What functionality does that add to the Hammer/Jammer (as 1/4, 4mm, leatherman flat bit driver slots are already on the main head portion of the Hammer/Jammer)?
The hex in the carabiner area will allow for a full size bit adaptor to pass through and the skeletool to be used like a 90 degree handle. The carabiner hole in the Skele is JUST a little too small for a 1/4" hex to a pass through, a couple of licks with a stone bit on a Dremel tool will open it up nicely. I've done it to one single side so the bit adaptor stops inside the handle. Otherwise, its a hidden feature inside that you don't have to unlock.

I'd love to buy this but I can't get past the 16 dollars USD for the part, and then 11 USD for the hardware....JUST FOR SHIPPING. both parts together probably weigh 40 grams and fit in the smallest envelope you can imagine but they want 27 dollars to ship..............................

You guys in America are so blessed with all the things like this which are available to you, us guys in Britain hardly have any of these things 😢
You gotta stand up for yourself man.
I agree that the Skeletool already has a driver, no need to interrupt the hammer face. Just my $.02.
You should make one that has a full pass through on the hammer face so you can store an extra bit inside the carabiner.
This is what I been looking for. I just wished you had a version for a Surge too. Great all around. Will get one soon. Keep up the great work. I can see your product on Best Damn EDC and Blade Hq.

$50 is a bit high in 2023. My Skeletool has been the best Leatherman Multi-Tool I've owned to date that hasn't broken on me.

They sell multi tools with hammers already! You just made a Leatherman signal with less features congratulations! 👏

how about V on the hammer for pull out the mini nail
Could you use it to see what it's actually capable of?
The price is insane considering, the price of the leatherman itself.
Its 3d printed metal. Honestly that is an insanely high end manufacturing method for a part like that
It's worth it brother.
I thought it was 70-80, 33 bucks isn’t bad at all.

Sure, you can do whatever you want. If removing the hammer is important to you, JB weld may not be the best option.
