They are not plastic. They are Latex balloons which are made from rubber. They are 100% bio-degradable

There is an organization called balloon mission which promotes responsible balloon use, they partner with TerraCycle to recycle used balloons into flooring materials. As a balloon artist, I recycle balloons.
