they're guarding and protecting you, FOOL! cause if a crazy guy comes and shoots innocent patrons the caller would be saying why no armed security? LOL
I used to work armed security at a few of the HEB’s across Austin and lemme tell ya these stores were absolute insane asylums at times. That guy they’re interviewing on the phone has no idea what he’s talking about. Some folks really are clueless just how dangerous people can be, and sorry about your feelings sir but we do have the right to protect ourselves🙄
I worked at HEB in Austin. It was not just the customers who were crazy. it was also staff members who were extremely aggressive. We had to trespass a few staff members when I worked there not just fire them.
I've worked at heb in the 90s. I can't imagine the psychological effects on random public. I've seen stockers attacked, theft, guns drawn out... etc. Items thrown at me when prices went up. 😐 ugh
@missym5196 I currently work for HEB ..the theft is getting worse...no guards because they want to protect a fake facade ..everything is ok..it's not.
It’s life the security guard was just doing his job get over yourselves you’re in the wrong state to be afraid of guns and if a security guard shooting someone who was a danger to himself or others in or around the store is traumatizing to you that’s a personal problem and not ours.
HEB needs a lot more security at their locations… in the parking lots for sure. especially in the parking lots. lol smh because people be on some cringy bully shit in those lots.
I work security, but am not armed. Listen, with all the drugs and homelessness here in Austin, there are a lot of tranked and druggy people here. You nvere know who or what is running around. It's 2024, and you need to keep your head on a swivel wherever you go here for both you and your family. 1950's are gone. Have some sense!
HEB paid money to have a security guard there to protect their shoppers. They have Level III security guards at every HEB store in the city due to increased crime and violence. Austin is quickly becoming the new Chicago.
@@joecalderaful You have no idea what you’re talking about. Killed for food🙄He got killed for trying to attack the guard with a knife you absolute clown🤡
Joe, you're an incompetent troll. The assailant tried to murder the security officer. What was the officer supposed to do? How about next time, they call you as a social worker to talk to the crazy guy with a knife?
Witness on the phone sounds stupid. “What is the point of a gun?” Typical Austin softboy.
I almost commented about that caller, and I'm just gonna walk away, ha. Yep getting crazy out there, but not yet where it's going.
Probably an implant from you know where.
"What is the point of a gun?" to defend against deadly force which the deceased allegedly had.
Because people are armed now..knives etc...
Maybe this clown has never been mugged before.

I was laughing, the caller is a complete and utter clueless moron, typical Austinite. 0 logic, only pot and feelings. Use your brain, people!

You think HEB is bad, try Walmart.
😂😂😂
the witness on the phone "what are they guarding, why do they need a gun" they are guarding YOU, they need a gun to protect you from threats.

you dont have to be Level 3 or 4 Security to protect your life or others. Everyone in TX is empowered by law for such.
“What is the point of a gun?” Does this incident not tell you why there’s a point?

Suspect is Warren Owusu and victim is Michael Rosario Jr, RIP
So the criminal is still walking around free.
Any description of the person?
I believe the perpetrator with the knife died. And they aren't releasing a mug shot for the usual reason.
he's dead.
@@sunnybunny222 is he? There were two shooting at two HEBs one where the aggressor died and this one where a security guard died.
HEB never takes accountability...
In this instance what exactly are they accountable for?
What exactly do you expect them to do?

He got killed for food!!! No shopping at HEB anymore!! I got kids I want them not dodging bullets from a security guard!!!
Sounds like he was killed for threatening a security officer with a knife.

Anybody who listens to the David Pakman Show for political input is too dense to think.

Go shop at WALMART then ! 😂
