✔️Disclaimer: We are a developing country and have all-class people and enthusiasts living. For some Rs1000 is a budget, for some it may be 3k or up to 5k. For many, it might be 20k to 50k or more, if you have excellent purchasing power, incredible!! I still consider up to the 5k mark segment as a budget iems and headphones. Beyond that, even those might be expensive for me.
✔️Disclaimer: Guys, this is for every hp/iem or earphone and not specific to this only:-There's always a deviation in the frequency response as you increase the volume. More volume either gives you more bass or more treble in some cases. Sound signature can differ from one to another depending upon your source device, DAC, audio format, and compression 🙏
✔️Audio equipment sounds best when they get warm, so give a little time to your DAC and Amp for a warm-up. You will surely hear the changes in your audio.
🔴Tips: 👇
✔️Always try to use some good EQ app like wavelet (for android) or Dolby Atmos on your mobile in case you are not getting the sound you want. ✔️Getting deep bass: always choose accurate-sized ear tips for your ear. Foam ear tips give you the BEST isolation and therefore best bass response.
✔️Always listen on low to mid volumes so that your eardrums have a long run to sense and judge the high frequencies spectrum.
✔️DAC doesn't always guarantee to produce a heavenly sound to you, sometimes it makes the audio worst (especially the bad ones)
✔️Sometimes an aftermarket cable can improve the sound quality of your iems. But it's not completely true.
✔️ Multi-driver earphones do not always sound super good, sometimes a single full-range dynamic driver creates wonder in your music experience.
✔️One iem/hp/earphone is not always suited for every music genre ✔️Expensive gear (exceptions are there) does not always give you the best experience.

Pr2 needs a balanced cable and 2vmrs(atleast) dongle to get the highest potential of it.The soundstage is quite large and extension is also magnificent than other dd iems in this price range.Anyway great review

2 vrms barely deives them. .I use 3.6 from my balanced output after buying the cable and its twice as good as 2vrms from the single ended port. Really opens up.

Hi brother, I had 599 long ago and I have dt990 pro now. I felt 599 was more light, comfy , mid range focused, safe treble and had good mid bass.
Both these headphones are considered for monitoring as per Sennheiser and therefore both are less on subbass region but both has good mid bass, that results good vocals also.
990 pro demands a separate amp to drive to a good level ( 250 ohm ) while 599 has drivable impedance.
One may find treble a bit more on dt990 than on 599.
As you are giving to your papa, I would choose hd599 for overall sound tonality. 599 also has less clamp force than dt990 pro.

i like both , can't tell you the actual difference... I like the bass of pla13. It's double the price of salnotes. Id Simgot ew200 is available you can go with that
Having both details and resolution has differences. Salnotes are very linear. You'll feel mid range to be a little low but the resolution is better as well as the sound stage the bass and treble of pla13 is very different never listened before. But salnotes are very different they are much flat in comparison but they aren't actually. Using slanotes type c cable to drive pla13 as no dongle was affordable and capable of driving them and no issues works flawlessly. Kind of jugad.😅😂😂😂
For 2k salnotes is too good. For 4k pla13 is too good all comes at a price but yeah what you get more is amazing bass and treble plus sound stage and clarity.
Personally I do not like the design of pr2 and those grill attract dust to accumulate. Not interested in buying already but really good review as aalways, waitng for next one bro 😊

I was talking with my friend today about pr2 for its 6k region. Maybe reason is mesh/filter
i don't think filters affect the highs that much. I like few parts of it but not the complete sound package it throws, it might be forgiving if it was a dynamic driver.

just now recently purchased CCA PLA 13 and someone was saying me ki you will miss bass in CCA PLA 13 😂
bro both the iems are not bass head stuff. Pla13 was more bassy relative to the pr2 , Einstein's theory of relativity 🙂 see don't just look for bass...look for overall tonality..like if you need warmer then pr2 and I hv mentioned that you may get a bit of sibilance on pla13. Nothing is perfect and so so we are continuing to buy one after another 😵💫
