KZ was steadily gaining back some trust from customers but these kind of shady practices definitely stop them from joining the big boys.
I myself am using a heavily EQd KZ with custom cables.

Great review, Sunny! I've got to admit, I didn't really think Planar IEMs with less than a 20mm diaphragm would pack such a punch. But they seem to give some single dynamic driver and hybrid setups a run for their money. Now, when it comes to headphones, nothing beats the immersive soundstage of the Audeze LCD series or the HiFiman Sundara and their flagship series. But when I'm picking IEMs? I'm team hybrid all the way (Dynamic + Balanced Armature drivers). 👍
Iem tech is progressing really fast. New gen planar iems are dropping soon so waiting for them too.
And yes it's hard to beat a good planar headphones

I will pick the ea500. It's more comfortable and provides a very open and unique experience. pr2 is still more capable overall but the comfort factor is important too. The truthear is just terrible for ears 🥲 physically

Yes you can but you'll need a sensitive iem. Something like a pr2 will be not good for such a source

It's hard to get samples for mousepad and i am personally using cooler master mp511 which i can recommend

sry for sounding harsh but I'd say this is HBBs fault; KZ had done this with the Crin ZEX, HBB DQ6S, and now PR2. Crinacle stopped collaborating with KZ at that point and still hasn't gone back, HBB went back and here we are!
