Things I Hate About Luxury Shopping! (And You Should Too)

- Luxury shopping is the best thing ever - except for the times that it is not. And, unfortunately, over the past couple of years, those "less than perfect" moments become more and more common in the luxury world. For me, it reached a point that I now think twice before entering yet another luxury store. What about you though? Do you still enjoy luxury shopping or did it lose its charm for you as well?

I came across a snobby SA at the Las Vegas fashion show mall several years ago. She saw me looking at high end clothes (I was dressed comfy for a flight later that day) and advised me to go look at the more high-street clothes. She was also quite clueless about quiet designer brands though, as she failed to notice that I was carrying a Bottega Veneta sloane at the time.
unfortunately this is a very common experience for most of us. so sorry you had to go through that.
I agree with everything you said in this video. I also have experienced judgment, the criticizing from co-workers or relatives or people on the street [of course they did get clap back lol] and I wouldn't mind seeing a part 2 to this video :)
you're totally not alone :) and part 2 is coming
@@perspectiveofme Yay 🤩
I dress, however, always. I'm treated super nice, even in Chanel on days I don't purchase anything. The SAs in most luxury retail stores are paid barely over walmart wages, just be very nice and humble to them and you'll usually get treated great.
I think luxury shopping is fine, as long as the motivation behind it is a good one. For example, if I work a part-time job, those luxury items may actually motivate me to continue in the position and do a good job. ❤
I totally agree!
i don't have such problems.
i envy you
🧡part two, please!!❤️💗
Agree!😊
It's comingggg :))
“Luxury”, aka high end designer brands, used to be where the innovation and creativity began. The designs would be copied by mid range and then lower end brands. Now, “luxury” brands copy from street fashion and “luxury” does its own version of Birkenstock and sneakers. Why would I buy a copy that costs 10x more?
I worked a number of years in “luxury” boutiques. Most sales associates are not snobby, but don’t want their time wasted. Anytime you enter a boutique, you are an “up”. If you don’t intend to buy, the SA might very well miss out on a good sale from the person who came in after you. Even if the boutique doesn’t pay SA commission, the sales associates still have sales goals to meet.
this is a great point, and i completely agree with you. thank you for sharing
I agree with every point you made❤
love
Well, if you have all of this wonderful luxury clothing & accessories, why wouldn’t you want to dress up when you go out shopping? I want you want to at least look presentable wherever you go? This all sounds pretty sketchy to me!
I often go to Chanel in flip flops 😂 no problem at all. Maybe bc where I am, ppl are more dress down. Yet, luxury items are worn everywhere including public transportation.
I don’t use special outfit for luxury shopping, my money speaks for me , they want my money or not? By the way never been in embarrassing situation
I buy luxury clothes or bags is that I really likes the design, likes an art , no judgement but I like nice things
I’m always treated so well ❤️
I'm a 60yo bloke and I still like shop in Harvey Nicks and Harrods.... 👍 🇬🇧 🧡
Harrods will always be my favorite mall, even though I've visited it only a couple of times :)
I like being the unpopular girl lol. I only buy contemporary now cuz the quality is there but for much less. Also I buy stuff on the Outnet that are probably from last season but I don’t care. I buy it for the quality and I try to stick with classics.
trends come and go. classics are timeless, worth every penny
The people who judge you "i could never spend that much on a bag" okay... cool, don't.
lolll this will be my response from now on
And we don't 😊
Yes. Part 2
First, I like your videos.
I have never be attracted by all these brands, because I do gave charisma and personality.
Many lower class people buy these brands to show off, pretend to be hiso, or what ever reason. There real reason is, they want to compensate something, e.g. missing success in life, academic archivement or a strong personality.
Even the idea to wait outside a shop is so crazy, I would never do that.
Finally, why should I walk advertising with a huge logo of LV or Dior on me?
Do they pay me? No.
Wgat is wrong with all the people? Buy a hand bag for 30.000 USD, which is made of PVC.
😂😂😂

Part 2
on its way :)
@@perspectiveofme 👍
❤ agree
part II please:)
I hate the most the first fact: need to dress up to go inside a luxury store. Sellers look at you like at a homeless person if you are in your casuals. AS IF all these salesmen can afford themselves these luxury items. commoooon
part 2 is on its way :)

Thankfully we don’t have any of those issues in my country all the SA’s are well trained and they take care of all of their customers and no body is judging anyone for their expensive purchases and most people here love to splurge on luxury goods
where are you from? i'd like to go shopping there :)
@@perspectiveofme I’m from Qatar in the Middle East very far from the USA 😅 unfortunately but you are welcome anytime
You lost me when you included Michael Kors as “luxury”
michael kors is not luxury. but it is designer. and it is still expensive for a lot of people.
Gucci has very good service 😊
What happened to the other girl that used to narrate ?
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Are you saying we should hate something because you do?
of course not. this is my channel, my opinions. i'm fine with people agreeing or disagreeing. i just want to share my thoughts and have discussions with people. that's all.
