You need to watch dragon games series and way to wonderland series so much character development!!! Spring inspiring is okay ig but those other two are where it’s at!!!
I think you're a little confused about the Pied Piper. He only started kidnapping children when the town refused to pay him for his rat catching duties. Because in essence that's what he was, a rat catcher, hence the rats in that scene
He got rid of the rats, then the town didn’t pay him. So he was a very angy boi and said “lol kids are little rats tho too” and played his song and brought the kids to either a cave or drowned them in a river and idek which one anymore. I’m 72.9843% sure it’s the latter one
@@Sapphire864the version i heard was the children followed him over a mountain and they were never seen again. Fairytales like that often have multiple endings/iterations based on different regions and families telling it differently, i think.
The most horrifying part of the Pied Piper is its a true story. As in, there's real Medieval records in the German town of Hamelin about all the children disappearing. It's such a rabbit hole.
The funniest part about the whole love letter misunderstanding is that there are actually *three* Charmings whose name starts with D. There's Daring and Dexter, but later on the show also introduces their sister Darling.
Literally what I was think lmaooo it kinda makes it seems like all of the kids (tnh I just kinda headcanon that there's probably more or at least the other Charmings unrelated to theses three) start with D and not to be mean or anything, that obviously could've been the case, but considering her reputation, she just assumed the most popular, desired by all girl's, self-centered guy in school liked her just cause he passed by at that especific time? Skskkdksd
The thing about Duchess is that she is doomed either way. Either she takes the chance by stealing someone else's story or she follows her destiny and dies. It's either death or potential death as her options here.
@@heraschuyler6576i suggest you to read books. They have so much more deter and raven content. I don't like spoiling but in the first trilogy book, they work together to sneak into the principal and.....
The only thing that REALLY annoys me about True Hearts Day is how inconsistent Duchess is. One moment she’s like “If it’s revealed I get to be happy and steal your happy Ever After!” The next, secrets out “Now I’ll never get it because YOU chose to!” Later… even though nothing changed for her “I will get your happily ever after!” 😂 her thought process doesn’t make sense to me
@@StarlightNebulosa yeah... Kinda off honestly, you would think she is Odette but she seems to he Odile based on her being the black swam. However, I don't think nothing bad really happens to Odile in the original history, she just does her own thing, while Odette die
I know that she wants Ashlynn’s happily ever after because hers is not happy. But she said that she would get her happily ever after if Ashlynn and Hunter’s relationship was revealed because Ashlynn isn’t following her destiny. But then when Ashlynn herself reveals it Duchess says she no longer is going to be able to take Ash’s destiny even though Ash still is not following it by being with Hunter. Okay? Well maybe it’s about the “royal ranks” as she called it because Ashlynn deciding to own the secret made her more popular? BUT THEN! She was upset originally and then suddenly she walks up to Ashlynn and she’s like “Nah I’m happy now even though the situation is still the same. You’re still with Hunter and you chose to reveal it yourself and I was upset about it. But now I’m happy randomly because I’m back to my original point that you going against your destiny means I can take it”. I just think the logic there didn’t really make sense? I understand Duchess’ motives but I just thought the writing didn’t make sense. That’s just my personal opinion though! I really enjoy the True Hearts Day special. It makes me happy 😊❤️❤️
To explain the worry about their stories disappearing, many are concerned that they still could possibly “poof” even if it didn’t happen right away. They don’t actually know much about how it works so they’re concerned about if that’s a future problem (doesn’t mean I agree with all the royals perspectives but I think that’s their thought process) 😂

4:51 technically Hunter is the son of the huntsman who is sent to go find Snow White. So his story does intertwine with Apple's. But in his defense, he is such a minor character whoever he marries won't affect Apple in the least. Just felt I should bring a bit of attention to it, even though otherwise I completely agree with you
Correction, well it isn’t stated speculation within the community actually means that he could be the child of either the huntsman in Cerise’s story, who saves her from the wolf. But if this was based off of original fairytales, then yes, he would be the Huntsman of Apple White’s story, but based on speculation, and also his interactions with Cerise it safe to say the more popular theory is that he is the son of the hunter who kills the Big Bad Wolf.
@@vixxinx Thank you! I wasn't aware of that. It has been years since I've seen anything to do with Ever After High. That's really interesting. I appreciate the correction Leon.
I love seeing these convos in the chat. He's both the huntsman of Snow White AND Little Red Ridding Hood. The books do a better job fleshing out the gray areas of the show.
@@vixxinx i think this is partly true. i remember reading the books and them stating that hunter is actually one of the few people who have multiple roles/is in multiple stories. he is the huntsman from apple's story and also from cerise's. but i could be wrong i haven't read them in a while.
I don’t know if anyone will see this, but I thought I would clear up Cerise’s situation a bit. She is meant to be the next Red Riding Hood. She actually has a sister who is supposed to be the next Big Bad Wolf. No one knows that they’re actually related though. Her problem is mainly that her parents weren’t supposed to get married and have kids given their fairytale. So she does have a destiny to follow but her family relations do complicate things A LOT.
But a lot of the early interpretations of the story had a much more wolf as predator of her innocence interpretation, and if they were going with that example, you could see Red as either falling for her abuser, or some sort of Stockholm syndrome. But they seem happy when you see them together, so...
@@Whyteroze28 It’s heavily implied in the novels that Cerise’s parents fell in love BEFORE they fulfilled their stories. The novels even state that they didn’t even preform their roles correctly. If I remember correctly the two ran off together before the huntsman even came to “save” Red Riding Hood. They just didn’t tell anyone so everyone assumed they acted out their story they way they were supposed to. We never see Red Riding Hood in the show but she does appear in the novels. They two seem to really care about and love each other in the scenes that they have together.
@@shinymegaabsollover9757 If Ramona didn't exist. It would be interesting at the end of the story for Cerise to be the wolf and the Duchess to become Little Red Riding Hood.
That bit you said about one small thing changing possibly making a person disappear is really interesting to me, because Apple is blonde. Snow White is supposed to have skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony, and Apple is blonde. In the books they mentioned it briefly, and I think Apple settled it with "Well, this Snow White is just going to be blonde." So then you have to wonder, what things are allowed to change? Because Grimm doesn't seem particularly upset about Apple's hair either.
This also kinda goes with something I’ve been thinking about. What if (let’s say Snow White for now) didn’t have a daughter but instead had a son and no other children. What would happen to that story if their child was a different gender than their parent whose destiny they have to follow? Does the story change or does it stay the same? Or what if someone is gay and their story has them paired up with someone of the opposite gender? I know we kinda get answers to that with Alister and Apple but like…did none of the characters ever question that before??
Actually in the books being blonde is one of the apple's insecurities(also wearing glasses), that’s why she tries twice harder to be the perfect snow white
@@logandevereux5076or what happens if so one is infertile or doesn't want children? Bc I think the gender swap would matter and you could say for same sex couple they could get donations or a surrogate (maybe even both of the parents would even have to had an offspring)
@@maddoghenry8152 That is a very cool theory, but it doesn't really explain how Raven got the Evil Queen's powers or how Apple got Snow White's charm (idk what else to call her her ability to get animals to do things for her and get people to love her)
I think apple’s accepting of their relationship makes total sense when you think about her character. She’s still a teenager who is finding out the world isn’t the way others have told her it would be. It’s like if you were raised in a homophobic environment with gross homophobic beliefs instilled in you since you were born and your best friend comes out to you as queer, your whole worldview is flipped over and you realize they are more important to you than your beliefs. And as time comes you question your other beliefs and realize everything you’ve been taught is wrong. Apple is only now at the beginning stages and she has far to go
That's a pretty good character breakdown for just about everything that is Apple (aside from the things that seem to stem from her experience of being the royal of all royals, the princess of all Ever After)
I’m really looking forward to when he watches “throne coming.” Cause that is when the line between rebels and royals really starts to blur. Current it’s mostly “you’re a hero, you have a happy ending, of course you’re happy with the status quo.” And thronecoming really shakes that way of thinking. And I love it
I might be completely wrong here, but I think the thing with Dutchess is this: She is the daughter of the Swan Princess from Swan Lake and in the Swan Lake ballet, the Swan Princess, while being the heroin, doesn't get a happy ending. So, I think that Dutchess wants to follow a destiny, but she doesn't want her own.
Duchess really is conflictive when it comes deciding if she is a Royal or a Rebel. I guess she is a Royal because, despite wanting a different happily ever after for her, not only she believes everyone should follow their stories, she will still follow hers. That's why she is so desperate to get another story for her, because, if she will follow her story, it's either steal a new destiny or becoming a swan forever.
The reason why Duchess talks about getting Ashlynn's destiny is because technically you can take someone else's destiny if you sign their page in the Storybook of Legends.
I think it's actually because of her story, Swan Lake, maybe. The story is about an evil wizard who wants to take over the kingdom by making his daughter marry the Prince and to do that he makes his daughter look like the girl the prince fell in love with so they can get married and he can seize control, which is essentially stealing that other girl's destiny. I could be wrong though because tbh, I only saw the Barbie version. 😅
Ashlynn’s and hunter’s relationship story is ironically one of the best queer representation I’ve seen in media. Yes, I know they’re hetero and probably not queer. But they’re relationship is treated like queer relationships used to be in our world and still are in some countries. And i love the show for making this. Most people don’t realize how awful (some) queers have it, even when seeing them being bullied in shows. But having 2 heteros, who can’t be together, gives a better picture.
I think you said this perfectly!! People don’t know what it’s like to be different until the shoe is on the other foot, I think it’s a great message to send to younger people that it shouldn’t matter who the person is with so long as they’re safe and happy!! And this goes for interracial relationships, queer relationships, relationships with partners who have different religions, different cultures, ext.
It’s not so much of a gay thing but an oppressed class thing in general. In some countries women can’t chose who they want to marry even if it’s a man.
Right?! Remember at the end how apple says: “I may be worried about you, and I may think you’re doing the wrong thing, but I want you to know that we’ll always be friends. No matter what.” It’s such an insane parallel to like…religious people and their response to a queer relationship…
I think Apple mindset is explored later in the series and why she feels so strongly but basically just because they choose not to follow now doesn't mean they disappear now . Thats why headmaster still encourages raven to sign, legacy day was a dedicated day but once they graduate is when they actually have to live out their stories which is why there is discourse around whether or not they actually disappear.
⚠️SPOILER⚠️ Matthew: Apple literally has the vibes of a homophobe (Meanwhile Apple is canonically a lesbian since her destined "Prince" is actually a woman)
Despite Apple's attitude is... questionable... you can't deny that her heart is on the right place. She cares so much about her friends that she worries about what may happen to them if they don't follow their stories. We can't forget that they are still teenagers and their stories haven't truly began. Apple worries that, with Ashlyn falling in love with Hunter and they wanting to follow their love afterwards, their respective stories will close. Besides, the further you get to know Apple really, the more you realize that she is not that bad. I mean, THERE IS a reason why she is the most popular girl on school (and not just because of who her mother is, which is good, because Apple as she is now is far better than her mother, the current Snow White, what is saying a lot).
Plus if you think about it Apple (and I’m not defending her actions whatsoever I’m just trying to see things from her perspective here) probably realizes that if Ashlynn and Hunter stay together and they’re both key characters in their stories that also changes everyone else who’s involved in their stories (so Cerise, Apple, whatever Prince is supposed to be in Ashlynn’s story, the dwarfs, Raven, the step sisters and so many others) would have lost their parts in their stories as well. Plus apple has been brainwashed her entire life by the headmaster and her awful mother into believing this butterfly effect so she probably lives her life in fear all the time if she does something that’s not exactly like her mother
definitely would recommend reacting to these next few small episodes in 4’s as there’s a big event coming up which is 45 mins long which means that could be its own video
11:56 this basically was a big plot hole back when True Hearts Day was first release but basically I think she is getting Ashlynn's CHANCE at happily ever after... So Duchess is not getting her story, but she is getting the CHANCE at happily ever after... And I think is because the story of Swan Lake normally ends in tragedy, cause both Odette and The prince die Jumping of a cliff...
Apple is so set on destiny because even though her happily ever after is "perfect" it still isn't something thatshe cares for specifically. She isn't in love with Daring and she doesn't actually want bad things to happen to the "villains" of the story. It's just what she's been made to believe is true. She works toward changing her mindset for the benefit of the people she loves. She isn't perfect, and i hadn't even liked her when i was into eah as a child. I understand her better now, though.
I agree. Just like the other Royals (Bryer, Ashlyn, Daring), Apple’s character is very complex, and I feel like the show did a much better job showing this in the other seasons, and I’m very curious to see Mathew’s reaction when he finds out Apple’s not as bad of a character as he thinks she is
@@II0.37 Exactly, yeah! My fav varies Honestly depending on many things, but most often i like Kitty the most Apple is just stand out to me as you said, most well written Character and Honestly most fun to see the journey of. So best in that way Again though, not my absolute fav
I like that the show sort of tackled an issue like “what do you do when your friend is doing something you feel is a bad decision?” Depending on the situation of course, but in this instance the answer was to stay by them and be there for them no matter what and I love that ❤❤❤
Apple has a reason for wanting the stories to be followed, as a kid she fell into a well (I think she almost drowned but would have to revisit the first book) and she was so scared that she figured if all tales go according to plan nothing bad will ever happen to her or her loved ones. She does genuinely want people happy, but at the same time this fear has carried this far into her life
Ok, so, the blackswan, Odile, literally steals the white swan, Odette's happy ending. The prince and the white swan throw themselves into the lake and drown. The black swan and Rothbart (evil sorcerer) are drowned by the other swans as the curse is broken as they return to human form. So. Odile, the black swan, literally has to steal a happily ever after. And whether she succeeds or not. She drowns. So.
I love this one! And I actually love Apple… I think she’s a good person that’s been raised to believe something that’s wrong. It makes sense for her to be like this, and I feel for her
@@CrossoverConnoisseur I mean, his feelings towards her at this point is understandable. Even to me, her character was annoying before her character development.
Apple is the boomer of this series 😂 always up in everyone's business but their own, trying to force people to do/be ok doing things they clearly don't want to do or don't feel comfortable doing, completely hypocritical...
They way you reacted to Dexter and Cupid's relationship is like looking at myself in a mirror some years ago. I LOVE them so much! ♥ I am looking forward to seeing what you will think about where they take their story from here. Also, I am just noticing that the girls got ready with special outfits for the True Hearts Day but wore their generic outfits at the party...
17:41 Also the "bad guys" in the story were the adults of the city of Hamlin cause after the Piper took care of the rat problem he was promise a reward but they didn't give him his reward so he decided to take the c¿kids away so they wouldn't end up cruel like they're parents
But if you read the fully story on the side why he took them. it do to a sickness that was happening in around the place, so taking the kids to keep them from being sick/help them heal.
Ok one thing you haven't seem to notice is that when they graduate is when their stories come into play. They are in the school to learn about their destinies and the headmaster is trying to make sure they follow the stories of their ancestors. So Hunter and Ashlyn dating right now won't have a big effect on their stories right now. Also Raven is still friends with a lot of people, even the people who were booing her at Legacy Day. The kids are all just a bunch of drama llamas.
Because I just can't help but play devil's advocate: I see Apple White's POV. Her friends are making choices that Apple truly believes will hurt not only her (A.W.) but also them. She's worried about it and she can't pretend that she approves but she still loves her friends. Does that mean Apple is right? No, but I think there is more nuance than you're allowing for. (Then again, I may be biased because I've had at least 3 friends make decisions that I was convinced were bad and then I had to make a decision on how I was going to approach it. Except for the person who was keeping illegal drugs in our shared housing, I just let my friends make their own decisions, whether I liked it or not. But not the illegal drugs. I'm not losing my housing because of you so you better get that stuff out of here!)
I’ve been excitedly waiting for this video. The two episodes I’ve been waiting for is true hearts day and the thronecoming special, truly some of my favorite episodes! Looking forward to more Ever after high!!! 💕💕
Duchess swan is based off of a character from swan lake, I'm pretty sure it IS her destiny to literally ruin someone's life. Haha 😊 I really enjoy this series of yours.
I don't know if you have noticed, but the Pied Piper, Melody's father, is a teacher at Ever After High. You can see him when Duchess will get Headmaster Grimm to take him to the party. In fact, he also appears on the webisode where the Headmaster makes that "intervention" for Raven when she turns him into a chicken.
Duchess dies in her story, so, following this world's beliefs, she either dies accepting her story or dies not accepting her story. Now that Raven showed there's a chance you can choose your destiny and survive, she's choosing, just not to write her own, she chooses another destiny, one with a happy ending for her role. She classifies as a royal since she fulfills (aspires to) a destiny, just not her mother's. Also, villains who choose to stay villains are classified as royals because they fulfill a destiny
Normally i'm not really for negativity towards a character i actually quite like. But goddamn your absolute *_hatred_* of Apple White is bringing me so much joy.
5:04 this is basically just a show of how Apple cares for her friends…since Ashlynn is one of them and don’t worry we’ll get to the story book of legends in Thronecoming and I need to see you losing your mind over it…
*spoiler* I think it's quite funny how Matthew called Apple a homophobe considering what gets revealed later in the series. XD This show was so good and deserved full length episodes.
I’ve been spam searching your name for the new eah video and finally the true heart’s day special has been posted😭😭it’s always a good day when this happens
I would scream if you would react to all the ever after high movies and their respective songs. ESPECIALLY the songs because they're all just SO GOOD. Movies including way to wonderland, epic winter, and dragon games. Songs being do you wonder, live your dream, and power princess shining bright. (chances of you seeing this are slim but i tried at least)
Duchess is a Royal but her parents story isn’t one with a happy ending. Other stories are written by brothers Grimm. The Royal rankings are basically what determines if you get the happy ever after. Basically all these kids sign the “book” to commit to stepping into their parents fairy tale footsteps. Then they all live together. And so on.
"Ashlynn, Apple, and Lizzie were of royal heritage-the blood daughters of fairytale kings and queens. Being a Royal at Ever After High meant being part of the most popular and the most privileged group. Duchess was also a Royal, but she was different. Most Royals were destined to marry other Royals and rule kingdoms, living out their lives in comfort, health and fortune. In other words, a big, fat Happily Ever After was waiting for most of them. But Duchess did not have such a future, nor did she have a future as a dancer. Her destiny, as the daughter of the Swan Queen, was to turn into a swan and live out her days web-footed and feathered. To make matters worse, she had no Happily Ever After with a charming prince written into her story." lol i always feel bad for duchess when i remember this
I know it'll probably sound weird out of context, but later in the show, I think my favorite dynamic between characters is either Apple and the evil queen, or Daring and the daughter of Belle from the beauty and the beast. Not because I particularly favor (or even like Apple and Daring, they get on my nerves like heck) any of the characters all that much, but because the dynamic became something that I wasn't expecting and found interesting. Especially Daring and Belle's daughter, seeing them and their interactions made me think about the story in a different way that I really enjoy. It brought me an element of 'even *if* their stories *are* set in stone, maybe it's not necessarily what we're expecting, or have been told. History finds a way to repeat and parallel itself naturally.'
23:59 I'm so excited to know that he is Team C.A. Cupid!! Because the girl need justice!!!!! and also still mad cause of the movie crossover we never got to see...
17:40 The Piep Piper is literally the music teacher at the school and they are just wearing glass, the rats cause the story goes that the Piper took care of the RAT problem in Hamlin
Apple will get better I promise!! She completely switches up later in the show because she realises some things about herself and does some self discovery !!
Defending my case of raven and dexter...she probably thought it was daring because he happened to pass beside her (which i know makes no sense but understandable) and also every girl knows he is a flirt so i dont think she took it seriously, and I think she had a thing for dexter, kind of curiosity at first, because he tried to be his friend even with every one fearing her in the first chapters. Also because when she thought it was daring, she was just surprised but when she found out it was dexter she had a more cute reaction...and I believe their relationship is kind of like friends to lovers troupe since they clearly develop feelings, but she was not sure if him being a royal would see her in a love light given he is kind to everyone unlike his brother who is as you know a flirt Also I think they are made for each other but that is not really an evidence so, i rest my case...for now If anyone else is ravenxdexter shipper jump on and let's defend and sail
Mathew calling Apple homophobic is so funny considering.... well... Darling 🤣 (edit: Fixed a spelling mistake. How there was a typo in this comment when there are only ten words? I couldn't tell you 🙃)
It’s not that she is a homophobic, but her response - of 2 people loving each other, that shouldn’t, according her beliefs - can be compared to homophobic people.
Nah man, Raven and Dexter for life! (She had a crush on Dexter anyway, but because Daring walked by right after she read the poem, she thought it was him, and wanted to ask him about it. I think she would turn Daring down though)
14:35 If I was Hunter I would totally just slap Apple in the face and would tell her to fix it - or when their stories would actually get fulfilled, instead of letting her go - he would rip her heart out to bring it to Evil (Raven) Queen. Because Huntsman is literally one of the most important people in that story. 17:40 It's the reference to her father's story, not blind mice. He was originally hired to drive mice out of the town, but shiet happened and he started kidnapping kids.
Your mention of “Apple gives homophobe vibes” is a VERY good catch, I’d have to say! The show is pretty much one big queer allegory (I’m pretty sure it’s intentional, but even if it’s not, it heavily leans that way), and that thing you said has a little bit to do with something that happens later-although I won’t spoil what it is!!! You caught onto this pretty early which is awesome :)
@@springgirl7874 spoiler warning for anyone else! . . . . . . . . . . in dragon games, apple gets poisoned, and it’s assumed daring’s kiss would wake her, but it doesn’t. instead, his sister darling’s does, revealing that apple’s “true love” is a princess instead of a prince! i hope that answers it :)
cerise’s parents’ story loophole is explored a little more in the books. i wish the show got into that! Cerise takes Raven to meet her mom and explains how her parents changed their stories and were fine. but Cerise can’t really be shouting this around the school for fear of the social repercussions.
Ok so I think you might be confused about the pied piper. From what I remember the pied piper led rats away from the town they were infesting with his pan flute. That’s why as soon as his daughter started playing music at the party all those rats put on glasses and started dancing like an Egyptian.
5:32 I lost my marbles when he said that apple is a phobic...cause my mind went straight to Dragon's Games!!! and if you have seen dragon´s games...you know what I mean
17:29 The Pied Piper also led rats out of the town. When they wouldn't pay him what they owed for his service, that's when The Pied Piper led the children away.
I think how Duchess interprets the situation is that she is a Royal because she wants Ever Afters and destinies to exist, she just doesn't want hers. A Rebel to her would be someone who rejects Ever Afters and destiny all together, a literal open book. And yeah, Apple was giving real homophobic vibes here fkfjgjkkk.
I think its something along the lines of " if you don't sign the book of destiny and follow the points of your story, you will disappear". As far as I am aware, what happens before that does not matter as long as you sign and do what you need to do after that. Furthermore, I'm fairly sure that you can do stuff that you want if it doesnt contradict your destiny. For instance, Cinderalla cant date the huntsman, because that contradicts her story, but the huntsman can probably date whoever he whats, as long as it does not contradict with their story.

I think you're a little confused about the Pied Piper. He only started kidnapping children when the town refused to pay him for his rat catching duties. Because in essence that's what he was, a rat catcher, hence the rats in that scene
Probably not the best way to handle compensation issues but it wasn’t out of nowhere, it’s true
The true lesson of the pied piper story is not "dont trust stranger who can do magic music", but rather "pay the freelancers what you own them"
The funniest part about the whole love letter misunderstanding is that there are actually *three* Charmings whose name starts with D. There's Daring and Dexter, but later on the show also introduces their sister Darling.
that will be a Knight time later before we see that.
And Darling's a lesbian so it's fully possible that she could've written it lol
Love Darling so much
Literally what I was think lmaooo it kinda makes it seems like all of the kids (tnh I just kinda headcanon that there's probably more or at least the other Charmings unrelated to theses three) start with D and not to be mean or anything, that obviously could've been the case, but considering her reputation, she just assumed the most popular, desired by all girl's, self-centered guy in school liked her just cause he passed by at that especific time? Skskkdksd
They are the children of Cinderella right? Isn’t Ashlyn also Cinderellas daughter? So they are all siblings?
The thing about Duchess is that she is doomed either way. Either she takes the chance by stealing someone else's story or she follows her destiny and dies.
It's either death or potential death as her options here.
I think Duchess destiny is to be trapped in a swam form, the same way her mother had to.
Does she dies in the story? There are many versions tbh- I don't think her mom died if she exists- At least not after she born.

The only thing that REALLY annoys me about True Hearts Day is how inconsistent Duchess is. One moment she’s like “If it’s revealed I get to be happy and steal your happy Ever After!” The next, secrets out “Now I’ll never get it because YOU chose to!” Later… even though nothing changed for her “I will get your happily ever after!” 😂 her thought process doesn’t make sense to me
She wanted Ashley destiny, after all, being forever stuck in a swam form isn't pretty nice tbh
Well, she is desperated. She is the Black Swan.
I don't really know much about the story.. But being turned to a swan and dies- It's not nice 😔.
The only swan story I know it's the Odette one-
@@StarlightNebulosa yeah...
They don’t actually know much about how it works so they’re concerned about if that’s a future problem (doesn’t mean I agree with all the royals perspectives but I think that’s their thought process) 😂
yeah its not just blind hatred of raven or of rebels, they’re just the result of years of misinformation and propaganda
It’s confirmed in the story books that fairies are vanishing
@@Betsymcdonough If I were the author of Ever After High. The story would go like this. Everything Headmaster Grim said is true. Raven has a hobby of writing. Apple dreams of being queen and being a great leader.
The Swan Duchess and Faybell would be the real villains.
Madeline would have a younger brother who dreams of being a knight.
Darling would be Hopper's princess. But she hates frogs.
The director insists that Madeline's brother take on the role of the Hatter, as he is the male role model for the character. But he's a rebel and Madeline took his place because she's crazy.
And I would have done, the characters as soon as they sign the book of legends. They are possessed by the personalities of characters from the first and original generation of fairy tales.
Madeline's brother is not crazy. He doesn't want to lose his sanity and memories.
And because he's not crazy. He also doesn't have the powers of the Hatters.
In Wonderland, Raven would have opened the book, Jester Joker would have thrown a ray at Raven leaving her almost fainting. and unintentionally Raven's page turns to the writers' page, that is, the Grim brothers.
When Raven wakes up seeing Jeste attacking her friends. Raven unwittingly signs on as writer. And she becomes the most powerful character in the story.
@@Betsymcdonough When Briar makes the reveal. Raven tries to destroy the book, but Madeline's brother stops her from destroying it. And she asks why her powers are aqua green. She opens the book and notices that she has signed the author and writer line on the book.
Madeline's brother sees that more stories have been added to the book. And he signs the story of the Knight in Shining Armor by author Raven Queen. Which is about a young man who sees his family, his best friend and the love of his life killed by some dark curse. and so he becomes the cursed knight who saves strangers except those he loves in brotherly or loving relationships. If he tries to save them, they'll die anyway.
Madeline's brother doesn't know the whole plot of the Raven Knight story.
Ravena thinks about giving her colleagues a new destination.
After the director knows what happened to the real book of legends. He confiscates it and tells Raven to clear her name. But she refuses. He discovers what happened to the book in the Dragon Games.
The director warns her that because she doesn't have the blood of the original screenwriters, certain anomalies can happen. Like someone signing the book, and the signer's acquaintances being automatically inserted into the story even though they didn't make the pact.
Raven tries to find Madeline's brother to erase her name, before the whole family is killed and even Raven herself and the best of him die.
She didn't want to exclude him. Because she can only erase the stories if whoever signed the names erases the inscription.
She also looks up to everyone else who has subscribed to her stories, and also complains to her mother. We are at Dragon Games.
Unfortunately, she doesn't find Madeline's brother's gang.
After Faybell leaves the poisoned apple. Apple reconciles with Raven and reveals that she never liked apples and that the one she eats is Madeline. The students and Madeline's brother flee the school through the beanstalk.
Madeline is poisoned. Raven explains that this is all down to her history of being new to this world.
Unfortunately the book of legends is at school.
And Madeline's brother discovers the whole plot of Raven Knight. And he decides to subscribe to the Hatter's story to make sure everyone he loves doesn't die. For the next curse would be his father, his friend and Raven.
Yes. Secretly, he loves Raven very much.
Raven then decides to be the evil queen and stop being the writer. For Madeline's brother does not lose his sanity and memories.
While Apple and the other students fight the Evil Queen and Faybell.
Raven and Madeline's brother fight to see who kills himself in his dreams and saves the world of Ever After High and Madeline.
Apple with Farrah's help defeats the Evil Queen. And Darling, Hunter and Darring defeat Faybell.
After Raven falls to the ground and nearly dies. Madeline's brother erases the knight and signs the mad hatter. Then Madeline wakes up. Raven is miraculously healed, her father emerges from the rubble, her best friend survives a fall from a tree branch.
He loses consciousness and sanity, but gains many powers from the Hatters.
@@Betsymcdonough Madeline's brother makes all the other characters angry. For the brother of our beautiful Mad, is the fusion of Sparrow with the spirit of the original hatter.
Raven makes a new deal with Headmaster Grim. Of being Apple's villain if Madeline's brother returns to normal. Grim promises falsely.
And then comes the new Legacy Day, now with a real book.
The director together with Apple set up Madeline to be arrested and not sign the book.
The Swan Duchess and Faybell plan to become the authors of the Books of Legends when the Duchess's name is called.
Madeline pleads with the narrators that she needs to save everyone at Ever After High. The narrators refuse to help her. However, Brook helps her by making Legacy Day delay and thus release Madeline with Kitty's help.
And after the Duchess throws the book to Faybell. All characters will have to face two powerful enemies.
You're right whoever he married won't affect Apple storie but whoever Ashley Mary's will
I love seeing these convos in the chat.
@shinymegaabsollover9757 we've actually seen both her parents in the show when she went on that picnic with them
@@ash_nessa you’re right I totally forgot!
In the books they mentioned it briefly, and I think Apple settled it with "Well, this Snow White is just going to be blonde."
So then you have to wonder, what things are allowed to change?
I love the theory that Apple and Raven were switched at birth since the Evil Queen is a natural blonde in the show
@@maddoghenry8152 That is a very cool theory, but it doesn't really explain how Raven got the Evil Queen's powers or how Apple got Snow White's charm (idk what else to call her her ability to get animals to do things for her and get people to love her)
Mathew getting really into the ashlyn and hunter relationship is hilarious
“Can one character be happy please”
Maddie Hatter: (✯ᴗ✯)
I think apple’s accepting of their relationship makes total sense when you think about her character. She’s still a teenager who is finding out the world isn’t the way others have told her it would be. It’s like if you were raised in a homophobic environment with gross homophobic beliefs instilled in you since you were born and your best friend comes out to you as queer, your whole worldview is flipped over and you realize they are more important to you than your beliefs. And as time comes you question your other beliefs and realize everything you’ve been taught is wrong. Apple is only now at the beginning stages and she has far to go
That's a pretty good character breakdown for just about everything that is Apple (aside from the things that seem to stem from her experience of being the royal of all royals, the princess of all Ever After)
Yeah, I think people keep forgetting these are 15-16 year old characters navigating a kinda fucked up world and high school
I just love it when Mathew's ADHD acts out seeking justice and he gets so invested and aggravated😂❤ it's always a joy to watch
Agreed , was looking for this comment 😂😂😂
I googled it to make sure and apparently it says her mother is permanently stuck as a swan so... I don't know how Duchess happened, in that case.
@@ClowncoreisCool Duchess was probably born before her mother was permanently turned into a swan🦢.
@@Random_OdditiesOR now hear me out. Duchess swan form is actually her natural form and her mother gave birth to her as a swan.
@@JuanitoEsBonito Maybe. 🤔
It is also treated in the way interracial relationships are too.
They could technically be a queer couple if either one of them identified as queer lol

@@sherbear6625omg same! Finally someone that doesn’t hate Cupid and the ship between them 😢
Despite Apple's attitude is... questionable... you can't deny that her heart is on the right place.

I've known about EAH since your first video on it and I finished it last week. I already miss the show soo much
5:04 this is basically just a show of how Apple cares for her friends…since Ashlynn is one of them and don’t worry we’ll get to the story book of legends in Thronecoming and I need to see you losing your mind over it…
*spoiler* I think it's quite funny how Matthew called Apple a homophobe considering what gets revealed later in the series. XD This show was so good and deserved full length episodes.
“He turns into a fedora when he turns into a frog” LITERALLY WHAT I THOUGHT IN THAT SCENE HAHAHA-
I’ve been spam searching your name for the new eah video and finally the true heart’s day special has been posted😭😭it’s always a good day when this happens
OMG YES EPIC WINTER
5:54 not Mathew talking rhymes and riddles like Maddy Hatter now 🤣🤣
Duchess is a Royal but her parents story isn’t one with a happy ending.
Duchess was
also a Royal, but she was different.
Most Royals were destined to marry other Royals and rule kingdoms, living out their lives in comfort, health
and fortune. In other words, a big, fat Happily Ever After was waiting for most of them.
But Duchess did not have such a future, nor did she have a future as a
dancer.
Her destiny, as the daughter of the Swan Queen, was to turn into a
swan and live out her days web-footed and feathered.
To make matters worse, she had no Happily Ever After with a charming prince written into her story."
lol i always feel bad for duchess when i remember this
I know it'll probably sound weird out of context, but later in the show, I think my favorite dynamic between characters is either Apple and the evil queen, or Daring and the daughter of Belle from the beauty and the beast.
It brought me an element of
'even *if* their stories *are* set in stone, maybe it's not necessarily what we're expecting, or have been told. History finds a way to repeat and parallel itself naturally.'
23:59 I'm so excited to know that he is Team C.A. Cupid!! Because the girl need justice!!!!! and also still mad cause of the movie crossover we never got to see...
Every time he looks at Andrew, I picture Andrew is just chilling on top of a book shelf or something 😂
17:40 The Piep Piper is literally the music teacher at the school and they are just wearing glass, the rats cause the story goes that the Piper took care of the RAT problem in Hamlin
I binged your EAH series today so I’m loving the coincidence of a new update today!
I love watching these videos, take me back to when I was a kid debating Royals vs. Rebels with my friends at the park.
Also because when she thought it was daring, she was just surprised but when she found out it was dexter she had a more cute reaction...and I believe their relationship is kind of like friends to lovers troupe since they clearly develop feelings, but she was not sure if him being a royal would see her in a love light given he is kind to everyone unlike his brother who is as you know a flirt
Also I think they are made for each other but that is not really an evidence so, i rest my case...for now
If anyone else is ravenxdexter shipper jump on and let's defend and sail
LET'S GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS POPPED UP IN MY NOTIFS AND I GOT SO EXCITED!!! THRILLED TO WATCH THE VID
There's actually three people with the last name Charming with a first name that starts with D. Dexter has a twin sister named Darling Charming
Mathew calling Apple homophobic is so funny considering.... well...
Darling 🤣
(edit: Fixed a spelling mistake. How there was a typo in this comment when there are only ten words? I couldn't tell you 🙃)
Bruh, my phone dropped out of my hand 😂
And I oop! 👀
Apple, my sapphic rep at 12, being called homophobic is actually peak comedy
But at this point of the series let's pretend like she is in the closet.
It’s not that she is a homophobic, but her response - of 2 people loving each other, that shouldn’t, according her beliefs - can be compared to homophobic people.
Duchess’s whole character is a freaking enigma. I have no idea what her plan is in this.
15:07 for like a split second her legs bend like a duck or a aquatic birds. Just thought that was a cool detail.
"im usually design to handle everything well so i must be ok"
its the best reasoning a crazy person like us would have loll
Your mention of “Apple gives homophobe vibes” is a VERY good catch, I’d have to say! The show is pretty much one big queer allegory (I’m pretty sure it’s intentional, but even if it’s not, it heavily leans that way), and that thing you said has a little bit to do with something that happens later-although I won’t spoil what it is!!! You caught onto this pretty early which is awesome :)
Hey, what are you referring to? I watched the show years ago and can’t quite remember it entirely :p

in dragon games, apple gets poisoned, and it’s assumed daring’s kiss would wake her, but it doesn’t. instead, his sister darling’s does, revealing that apple’s “true love” is a princess instead of a prince! i hope that answers it :)
Holy shit. I just realized they’re all forming new fairytales and *that* what their legacies for the book.
cerise’s parents’ story loophole is explored a little more in the books. i wish the show got into that! Cerise takes Raven to meet her mom and explains how her parents changed their stories and were fine. but Cerise can’t really be shouting this around the school for fear of the social repercussions.
21:31 lmao not you catching an animation error and thinking it was a choice 😭😭
I am so excited for you to see Daring's redemption arc! I used to hate him too, but now I think he's a good character!
Ok so I think you might be confused about the pied piper. From what I remember the pied piper led rats away from the town they were infesting with his pan flute. That’s why as soon as his daughter started playing music at the party all those rats put on glasses and started dancing like an Egyptian.
Apple: Ash, 😢this is hard for me-
Mathew: nO it’s not your problEm bRo 😤
😂❤❤❤
2:09 in the books, if I remember correctly, they’re either banished or expelled
5:32 I lost my marbles when he said that apple is a phobic...cause my mind went straight to Dragon's Games!!! and if you have seen dragon´s games...you know what I mean
Yeeees, the continuation of True Heart Day! I'm very curious to see if your opinion on Apple White will change a bit!
This is something I never knew I needed. Gosh I’d missed Ever After High! Really hope we get more reactions, because I’m having a great time re-experiencing these episodes through someone who’s never seen them before!
Can't wait for future ever after high reactions and the specials movies
Yo, love how EVERYONE is forgetting about dragon games. Like, I REALLY can't wait wait for him to see THAT.
I literally found your ever after high videos yesterday and just finished watching the other ones so I'm so happy this video is out
Theres actually 3 Charming's and the 3rd one also has a thing for Raven 😂😂😂
Hope you keep watching the show since theres A LOT to see and alot of those characters keep developing over the seasons and the wonderlanders keep being wonderous which is hexcellent ❤❤❤❤
guys dont spoil anything for him let him discover the magic drama of ever after high
there are three Charming's Daring, Darling and Dexter Charming
Cupid and Dex were my favorite pairing too! 🤣 I wanted those two to be happy because they were best friends💖🫶
