- An artist named Lucy Sparrow created an entire pharmacy out of felt. There’s felt makeup, felt toothpaste, felt perfume, and so on. Sparrow says it took about a year to make the fabric shop, and the reactions from visitors have been positive. “People get an emotional response to it,” she said. “I hope that it invokes nostalgia, a feeling of calm, in a place where you wouldn't necessarily feel calm but it offers sanity when maybe you're not quite feeling very sane." #InsideEdition

I honestly love items for kids, I used to adore fake kitchen sets of things “kid sized” so you play pretend adult and do things like “cook diner” or take care of babies” things like that were honestly really fun and I can see children coming to this store to get fake items to play pretend. This is honestly adorable and every little detail is just too cute.

I don't think it's cynical at all. It doesn't make sense and is rather an insult to people who have a true artistic talent. This may be really fun to look at but to me it's just a huge craft project.

I went to this artist’s show a few years back where it was a grocery store. All the groceries and food products were felt. She was so sweet and took the time to talk with everyone there. It was so cool!

Ye so just like what I said, it’s like an art gallery, pretty expensive. Most people probably just go there to look at the stuff, not to actually buy them.
If this is 1,500 items and it takes roughly 20 minutes per item, that would take somebody about 20 days without a break.
Edit: Sorry, made a mistake. It's 15,000 items, so roughly 200 days without a break. I did think 20 seemed a little small.

you know what this reminds me of? when i was a toddler, my parents would always bring me to these playplaces or Children´s Museum... i guess you would call it?? in them, they would have like a little grocery store, but toddler sized, and there would be fake food and fake snacks and fake silverware, fake plates, cash registers, little shopping carts- everything. it was so fun, that's what this reminds me of lol

When my brothers and I were a lot younger we’d get to go to the Children’s Museum and I remember that they an Albertsons grocery store and it was basically the same thing.
