So in a space of 10 years, we witnessed the expansion of the Euros from 16 to 24 teams, the introduction of Nations League, Conference League, the expansion of World Cup from 32 to 48 teams and the expansion of Club World Cup from 7 to 32 teams. Not to mention some people lobbying for a World Cup every 2 years. This is wrong on so many levels. Greed is an ugly thing !
Don't forget the Intercontinental Cup is coming back.
The Nations League was created to make those useless friendlies the national teams played between the qualifications for the World Cup and the Euros more meaningful, but they do have the extra games for the semi finals and the final in June. The Conference League was created because the smaller teams in Europe could not get in the group stages of the Champions League and the Europa League which were dominated by the extra teams that the top 5 leagues can send to those, so you would see historic clubs outside the top 5 leagues being disqualified in July and August while in pre-season and not playing in Europe when their leagues started. I don't think these two competitions are that bad, but for the rest you mention I totally agree, hence the like. :)
@@victord.cruzjr.5250 yeah that too. Totally forgot about it!
And there is talk of a World Cup for over 35’s
@@wengelder9256 Are you serious?🫨
Remember when Don Preze said one of the reasons why the Super League was created is that FIFA and UFEA have too much power over football
The reason is he wants to control it and line his grave at reals expense
Don Preze was just lying about that.
The ONLY reason for why he wanted the Super League, was GREED.
And that is the ONLY reason for why FIFA want the Club World Cup as well.
These people only care about money, money and more money.
And everything else they tell you are lies, lies and more lies.
So from frying pan to fireplace?
@@theletsplayer4921 he wants to make it better, he wants to keep viewers & gain more viewers without overplaying footballers & underpaying clubs . UEFA & FIFA gets big money while clubs gets a little amount, that's why most clubs is in financial trouble . In creating the Super League, he probably guarentee that Real Madrid won't go bankrupt . It's not about controlling football, it's about saving football from this money greedy organizations named UEFA & FIFA .
@@theletsplayer4921you clearly didn’t understand the super league and yet you’re not shy to comment in a public forum
So why aren't they complaining about the extended Champions League
Because the cl is good to watch, the world cup/euros has turned into an exercise in virtue signalling. All I remember about the last one was rainbows, communist fists and getting on your knees for black men. I'm not sure there was any football.
@@notreal1477 ah yes drag it like youve never dragged anything b4😂😂
The extended Champions League doesn't affect the players as much as this Club World Cup.
Far from it.
And they have complained about the extended Champions League, but they have not reacted as hard as they do now against the Club World Cup.
This has mainly made headlines because of the threat of legal actions.
Because the clubs get more money out of it. It's also only really more games for the smaller teams that would be knocked out in the group stages. Like utd and newcastle.
There's many people complaining but not enough sadly it should just go back to the olde European Cup format a knockout tournament between champions
They’re trying to make a pretty pointless tournament bigger!
Pointless tournament? European fans really think there the only teams in the world, you should see how excited clubs around the world are excited to play against, City, Madrid, Juventus, PSG, Bayern, Milan e.t.c
@@luckymark571 16 out of the last 17 winners have been European. So yes, it’s pretty pointless
@@Bert-lw1ot Wrong, Corinthians, Sau paulo, International and Corinthians again have won the Club world cup, not only european clubs exist don't be so entitled
@@luckymark571 learn how to read properly. How is it entitled saying the best clubs are in Europe? It’s just a fact
@@Bert-lw1ot When did i say they weren't? That's literally the point for clubs around the world to be excited to go against the biggest and best teams in the world in competitive matches
Money killed football 🤷♂️
I would say buy
2026, when the next
World Cup rolls around
the game will be as good as dead killed buy greed at all levels from top to bottom..
This is a crime adding more games like F the money these players are not robots
I Feel... Sued
So the chairman of the Premier League Committee is unhappy that he hasn’t been consulted. Am I wrong, mbut is the chairman that decided to do away with FA Cup replays without consulting the English Leagues.
I just dont see how the players get rest, ''within'' every 4 years is a world cup + clubworld cup+ euros/african cup/copa america meaning its only 1 summer off per 4 years, crazy lol
players should take a step back and renegotiate their contracts so they cut out abysmal domestic cup tournament competitions and maybe select domestic matches against low table teams. You could see this also benefit the clubs if they agree to it because they can hike up ticket prices for select domestic matches where the marquee players play only against the higher table clubs.
Players deserve rest and not to be used as mules for greedy football associations to benefit.
Modern players are in exquisite shape, and they're Millionaires (some Billionaires). They'll live. Welcome to the real world. I only get 2 weeks off a year.
You forgot the Nations League and friendlies
@@AllGoodThings607Regardless, they are not machines. They are required to train throughout the week, to put in a high performance for each match, not to mention the extensive travel miles to and from. Flying alone is exhausting
Found out about this new formati in Football Manager. Its shocking honestly, its like they dont even want the players to rest anymore
OK 👍 please reply more details about the tournament in footie manager
@@hbos9709 32 teams group stages. Round of 16, quarter final etc. it's basically another champions League. You could end up playing against teams like Inter, Man City, real Madrid, Bayern etc.
Not sure how the teams are selected tho
@@hbos9709 One time I had to play the club world cup literally a week after the season ended and none of my first team players were available, it's so absurd that they are doing this.

"You cant join the Super league, because we are creating our own super league"
Just scrap the Nations League to make space for it, this sounds way more interesting than those glorified friendlies.
Scrap league cup, move to the recommendation of 18 team league and then it’d be okay.
Nations league at least gives an opportunity to play for something because international football ain’t going away.
@@saralgupta5250 League Cup is a chance for teams of smaller clubs to have some great away days and reducing the league down to 18 makes the EPL even more of a closed shop than it is
@@saralgupta5250 So the rich clubs at the top continue to get more money and the lesser clubs get their revenue scrapped through removing a domestic cup and domestic fixtures? Rubbish!
I doubt the players will get proper rest.
Because Infantino is trying to line his pockets as usual.
That’s what it always is, more money, more greed! It’s never going to stop
U.E.F.A , F.A. ,
Premier League & so on are just as bad as F.I.F.A. all greedy for money & all 100% full of corruption from top to bottom.
Well yea they wanted more slice of the pie on the video game so they parted ways with EA apparently they think they will make the best game now like they do everything else so egotistical it's hilarious.
All about money grabbing
Don't get me wrong... the idea to have a world championships for clubs that's competitive is appealing on paper... But the execution here is absolutely horrendous.... the fact that this tournament is commencing right after the ABSOLUTE TRAVESTY that is the new champions league format...(that's also been applied in Asia 😢)..
I do feel like this tournament could be an eye opener and a gateway for many clubs in Asia, South America and Africa to take centre stage..
but right now with the hyper congested world of football competitions that we have, it's best to not venture into these sorts of things
if this continues, we will expect more injuries and the unfortunate losers will ultimately be the Players....
If we want these types of tournament to go on..
we need to reduce the number of games in a season (e.g. reduce the amount of games played in the league and champions league)
or...
if we're being real...
I do think that the UEFA Champions league should be returning to the European Cup format
Where ONLY THE CHAMPIONS play it and it's a whole knockout tournament right from start to finish
I hate the new system. It was perfectly fine, the way it was. Having all these teams in the competition is ridiculous. Especially most of them who didn't even deserve it and only got in through rankings or something. It probably won't change and it'll still happen, but I'm praying it changes back to the old format
This infantino guy is the worst!
Not worse than the last 2 FIFA presidents, but he is truly terrible!!
FIFA has been corrupt for too long now!!
Idk Sepp Blatter is still probably worse than him
@@evanmurphey they can both be the worst.
So big huge noise about a super league..now we have one or maybe 2 ..nothing ..no noise at all ..mad isn't it
As a fan of a team who don't play in Europe, I prefer the club world cup to the champions league, which feels so stale. Same few teams in the quarters, and anyone who looks good in the groups either loses their best players or loses momentum before the knockout stage
Unlike the Club World Cup where the European team is basically guaranteed to be the winner both of them has it's problems on that end but the Champions League atleast has class it's not the format I want but it's better then the Club World Cup
On paper, turning this tournament into more of an _actual_ World Cup, instead of just some weird 7 team playoff 'thing' is actually quite an interesting idea, to be fair. I'd probably give it a watch! I reckon once it starts in this 32-team format, people would probably get quite into it! It's something different, isn't it!?
I know in its current iteration most European (particularly English) fans don't really care about this tournament all that much (if at all) and tend to look down their noses at it like it's some kind of second rate tournament and little more than a distraction, but in South America it's huge!
I mean, in theory, The Club World Cup _SHOULD_ be the biggest club competition in the world. Clearly, it isn't, but it probably should be. Considering that it's literally a _WORLD CUP_ and not just a European one.
To be fair, I am saying all this as a West Ham fan. We're never likely to be a part of this competition anyway so it doesn't really bother me too much lol, but I know fans of big clubs will probably moan about playing too many games etc,
But when clubs like Chelsea and Man City have literally hundreds of players on their books across multiple reserve and academy teams, and like 30 or 40 players out on loan every season, it's a bit harder to have too much sympathy for them. I'm sure they'll manage. It's not like they actually need to send their strongest squad out to this, they could send out a youth team if they really don't care about it! At least it would give the young players some experience!
Players should just say they’re not going to play full stop.
Worse than septic Blatter or platini. None of the public are interested in expanding the world club championship because it's the champions league which is the creme of cup competitions. As for expanding the world cup, just a total waste of time. Only the European and south American giants win it. If they expand it, the first round should be knockout with top countries seeded.
You can’t force and manufacture rivalry and fan support for meaningless games!
The dumbest part in all this is the fact that they're going to continue having an annual Intercontinental Cup using the old CWC format in its old space in the calendar (around Christmas). No. Do one or the other. Don't do both.
I think club world cup Will be good
No one agrees
You think, but it will not be as is because of the many games
The new format sounds good, but games are a lot more
June n july should be the time players should rest but when big tournament comes..they will be damn tired
Haha that's rich that FIFA are concerned that players might get injured due to a congested schedule. They must've not been cut in on the $$$
Too many game, too many injuries
FIFA is bringing back the Intercontinental Cup too, with the actual format of the Club World Cup.
If footballers want to earn the money they earn, talking about +200k weekly wages they should play the games to earn the money.
So your telling me they’re expanding the club World Cup and they can’t add Al Nassr? 😂
Clubs should choose whether they want to enter or not !!!
This is analogous to how the government behaves towards the teaching profession.
Just play the B team
Or academy players
Given the amount of money involved clubs ain't going to do that it's not like the Birmingham Senior Challengers Cup were the bigger clubs do that as really not that much money involved and it's good experience for them for instance this years winners were Aston Villa playing our U-21s.
What about the world cup that every four years
Here we go again 💰
Fifa dont give a flying fukc what any teams or leagues think, they are the "be all, and end all"....
This is bs. These teams spend millions on players let them play too. FIFA been talking about the expansion why now wait to send a letter. What is too much games. No one player ever play every game in a season. How much games should the fans accept from the players since they the ones who wants to make the decision. I don’t know what effect this have on players. Messi still playing ccristiano still playing Thiago still playing. These players need to stop complaining and play
Why change something that's already perfect?
The national league is football ok 0:59
FIFA and Gianni Infantino are so full of it
Isn’t it quite simple? Use the clubs squads
Hypocritical. Look at the way the champions league has been expanded. UEFA's monopoly in the game is under threat by the world wanting in on these clubs competitions. That's what this is all about.
Bring back Sepp Blatt------
Who are they .come on .fifa is big.
way to big this CWC just like the euros en wc
They should make Away at Home Matches! Where you can pay about £15 and go to your home stadium and watch you team away live on a huge projector screen! More money for clubs and food sales!
time for big countries quit fifa
Today I feel bigger club world cup And gay.
why don’t the teams use their reserve squads or the youths to get some competitive minutes under their belts
Coz with the new format people will start to take it seriously as their are now more elite teams every time
Exactly m8
So basically just do it like the Birmingham Senior Challenge Cup for the big teams that's fair but the amount of money that's undoubtedly going to be involved they ain't going to do that.
Fifa
FRUAD , International, Football, Federation
does anyone even care or watch the Club world cup? lmao, if FIFA had any inteligent person working there, they would just make it 4 days after the Champions league with the winners of each continent and that's it, but no, they want money from a Cup no one wants to play as it is now, lmao, Fifa is so lame.
LOOOOOL The WLA and continental bodies like UEFA are clowns 🤡 They themselves increase the number of games but complain when FIFA tries to make football better. Simple solutions 1) reduce league games to half (19). 2) Utilise the academy players. 3) Getting rid of two legged ties and group stages in continental / domestic cup competitions.
Natiions league is trash
Pointless tinpot trophy why
Nobody really cares about the pub club World Cup maybe a few South Americans that’s it
A Super League where the money is concentrated among the rich elites of football clubs 🟰 🚫
FIFA and UEFA expanding their existing league so that they get more games and more money for themselves 🟰 ✅️
Funny. Reduce the amount of games. Get rid of League of Nations and reduce the amount of international games mid-season. The Prem this year has been so rubbish because of the amount of injuries its insane
Yea like seriously the Nations League is joke you don't need that many international matches just have a few before the main competitions and the qualifiers for those competitions which you can double up technically on that front other then that no more international games.
