- Old School Cobra 29 VFO Wind Up REVISITED. #cb #cbradio #cobra29
This modification uses only 1 Part (220mfd Electrolytic Capacitor) and takes 1 minute to install. You can play around with different capacitance to get longer or faster wind up effect. THIS IS NOT A NOISE TOY!
Great way to get rid of a cheap AMAZON Capacitor :)

WagonMaster...this video just proves one thing just like the Judas Priest song: You dont have to be old to be wise..... Best 73´s
Now I have that song in my head... Grrrr
Finally, something I need to know- LOL Thank You
Your going like grant video I did UDX-390 I made contacts into eastern Texas he was anytone quad5 northern Louisiana he older radio like your superstar type ssb radio I hope set Microphone same like on cobra 139I did something with Turner plus2 that light blue box I have back planet utah this old school grant radio is amazing.❤
The Lafayette SSB-100, SSB-75, and Hy-Gain 674 all made a rather unique sound when they were keyed up. It wasn't like the tube radio sound, it was more like the frequency started off by about 1000 Hz, overshot while correcting, then settled on the correct frequency. All in about a half second.
This is a phenomenal modification especially when you're in DX land and there's plenty of signals out there. Thank you so much for making this video man I really appreciate it
3:10 that was cool sound it sounds like space invaders video game back in 80's.
Nice radio.
😍👍👍👍👍👍
Do you think this would be the same location on a 29gtl?
IDK.... Try to find a schematic and compair. I "think" the GTL is a UPD858 chassis, so might not work.
