The game's tutorials do a good job of teaching you combat flow. You'll want to start attacking as Red to build up your spirit meter. Then based on your gear and skills, you can perform perfect switch attacks with Antea, use her manifestation attacks and build up the banish gauge to perform a banish on enemies. You can perform some pretty cool combos switching back and forth between the two characters. Another note about cursed chests, you'll need to progress in the story to Sridean's Island where you can talk to Seeker and ask her about them. She will give you a side quest called "Spirit Unbounding" and after completing that, you will gain the ability to perform the Unbounding Ritual. Rituals might be a little confusing at first. Harkening Rituals are to see ghost echoes for Haunting Cases, the Make Manifest Ritual is used for manifesting spirits whether it be for Nest activities or manifesting a spirit in a Haunting Case (typically after finding a ghost tie). As far as upgrades go, you will pick up a ton of resources as you explore. Some of the higher level upgrades can be purchased later on in the game but those can be acquired from different activities. So experiment with different gear and don't be hesistant to upgrade.

10 hours in. Really dig the game. Story telling is great, great side quests, fantastic atmosphere, I like the combat and on top of it all the game looks really great! Playing on PS5!

This has some of the best voice acting ive heard in a long time. Im going for a blame the living run, but some of the choices at the end of each quest are extremely interesting .
You know some sort of marketing campaign or advertising would've helped sell this game better - I just discovered it last night and I'm loving it so far. It's such an odd premise and surprisingly very engaging and well executed! Thanks for the video, I needed it! 😂👍

Been wondering what the white wisps are, and when you mentioned about hitting the orange wisps I figured you had to hit them with something. Going on the path of resurrection. Even to I think I already know what will happen on that end. Hit The Woodfolks today. Also been exploring the entire area before progressing the story and finding areas where you can fire and raise all attributes but 1.
Yes the white wisps are like Odins ravens from GoW, gotta hit 50 with the rifle for a trophy. The Void encounters give +3 to all attributes and there is a gear chest after them. Great game. Thanks for watching and hope you're doing well.
I loved painkiller and Undying. This was a pleasant surprise. Being open worldish makes it better. Just beat the Beast and entered the Marsh's. Going back to find stuff I might have not the ability to get now. However, on the beach I found a level 21 scourge waiting for me! I wasn't ready for that lol.

This is really confusing me as there's one where she's dead & one where she's not & I don't know how to go about getting them, is it choices OR is the game different depending what you play on or where you live???

No, if you do that you will get the bad ending. I blamed a few more than I should have but I also had a few count towards the ascension as well. If you are going after platinum, I'd recommend doing the main story haunting cases, get to the last mission and back up your save like the game tells you to, beat the final boss, then reload your save and do the other cases in a different way to get the other ending. smugglers loot the key is from an encounter on the oposite side of the waterfall tehre is a hut and a few mobs will spawn. defeating them automatically gives u the key. i only know as i just did it right before looking at this vid :P also i mean the chest on the left at min 3:54 hope this helps :)

I upgrade everything. I just did a scourge run. Level 22 intensity. Then they become spongey. 😂
