When you started using the second brush I got terrible flashbacks of my mom combing my hair when I was younger... Starting at the top, loud sound of the comb ripping my hair. AHHHHH
But at the same time, she’s using the Regular size Wet Detangler from Tangle Teezer. They brand suggests that anyone with long curly hair should opt for the Large Wet Detangler. So a completely fair comparison would be regular Michel Mercier and Large Wet Detangler from Tangle Teezer.
I think it's also important to note that both Mercier and Tangled Teezer make that noise (that she was complaining about in the video), bc the bristles are flexible plastic. They make that same noise if you brush them across your palm, which means it's not the sound of "snagging". Clearly that noise is from the brush making contact with the surface of the hair, in the same way it brushes against the surface of your palm. So don't freak out by the sound, instead you should gauge its detangling ability based on how painless it feels and how many strokes it takes to brush (maybe use a Fitbit or step-counter).
I have the "grown up" Michel Mercier brush and there's been multiple times where it's slipped out of my hand and some of the little plastic things that hold the front and back of the brush together have broken😬 I still really love how it works through my tangles. Although I might get myself a tangle teaser instead🤔🤔
Wow I learned a new verb: detangle! And many other words! Not to mention that every time I listen to one of your new videos, my listening skills get better and better! Thankssss
You should try the Phillips Flexx Fully Vented Cushion Brush aka (flexy brush). It’s the best detangling brush I’ve ever used for my hair literally glide through like butter even with no product and i have 4a hair
i dont think this was a solid comparision. the tangle teezer you got is not a kids brush. rofl when you said the bristles are ready for sick leave. thx for the video

I don’t really agree if you get the normal Michel Mercies brush adult size and when I bought it you can choose how strong or what ever and you could get a better result
Lol Lana you’re so funny 😂 you should’ve gotten the Michael mercier for thick hair! I have it and I lovvveee it! Takes me 10 mins to do my whole head of hair ❤️

I’ve been binge watching your videos. Love them. Thank you for all the tips. I have a question for you. Since you have long hair, what are some of your must haves when you travel?
EZ Detangler is still my #1. Second to that would be almost any style of Tangle Teezer in the size made for grown people. (I'm not willing to risk carpal tunnel for detangled hair).
Lol Barbie brush! My daughter used a Barbie comb in my hair once. I was distracted on my phone, didn't notice it was rolled up in my curls! Hair was cut that day lol.
pinché Dominicana she has a ton of those videos, there's not much more you can do to make your hair, it's based mostly on genetics (which you can't change)
I have the regular Michel Mercier and it has no grip at all, the handle is pointless. I have to hold it by the head and use the praying hands motion like you did to tangle.
12:15 HOW DO YOU SLEEP and not lose your curls in the morning I swear everytime I sleep even is i detangle my hair it still ends up puffy and tangled and yes i use conditioner🥺 you look pretty with no makeup 🥰
Saludos.
tbh you should've used the big Michel Mercier because your hair is probably too thick for the kids one ,i think you should do this again but with the big one.
she does realize that the timer was still going while she was talking about it, which it’s unfair cause maybe it wasn’t 8 minutes. Maybe it was only 8 cause she would spent almost a minute talking about it while the timer was going on. or is talking about a brush a way of detangling hair!
This review is so unfair. You are a grown woman using a kids brush. Mercier has kids and adult brushes for all types of hair. Why did you have to use a brush that I see on toddlers. Plus, look at your damn hair and tell me why you think such a small brush would work.
Use some grapeseed oil, take hand bunch of hair, put oil in your hand rub together then glide through your hair so wonderful 5 minutes to detangle my 4c nappy hair. Less hair loss. Forgot no greasy hair.
Jada Nichole who said I was giving advice! When did I say you must do this for your hair type or length?? I made a comment based upon how I felt when I watched I the video. And miss me with the long hair comment, it’s 2019 a lot of us have long hair boo boo!!!
Lmao the only reason I am going to subscribe is bcs 1. Her personality 2.She must be an army bcs I saw Rj and I’m like 😱😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯 that’s it Army are WORLDWIDE PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With hair that tangled it's better to untangle it when washing your hairv after you put in the conditioner while rinsing take a wide tooth come threw it
That killed me watching/hearing you pull out your hair, this would only be good for a ASMR video, wink, lol... Take smaller sections, even though you were trying to hurry, just h8e to see you ruin your beaUtifUl hair for a video... Brush helps me work in products while being soak & wet, as normally I only use my fingers as then I know I/others know they would sTrEsS their gorgeous curly hair. ~"Hugs always"~ 😘💞🎵🌷🌺 🌸 😆 👏 👍 💫 🌟 💛 ~"Love, Hope, Peace, Dream, Inspire, Laughter, Joy, Give, Live & Let Live"~

If you had the regular Michel mercier brush, this would have worked better. It seems unfair comparing the 2.
Yes the baby one might have bristles that are finer - for a baby's head. It's a bit of an unfair comparison, IMO.
exactly

you should do more videos trying out products!!
UR SKIN IS SOOO GOOD RN
you should try the easy tangle brush from home bargains !!

you have the kind of face, that you really don't need to wear makeup, you are so blessed because some people have to wear makeup
No one has to wear makeup
I prefer the tangle teezer brush as well, I have the pink one it is amazing!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
You should try the Phillips Flexx Fully Vented Cushion Brush aka (flexy brush). It’s the best detangling brush I’ve ever used for my hair literally glide through like butter even with no product and i have 4a hair

you have the perfect voice for a kermit the frog impression.
Like so she can try it!! :D
Lmfao wtf hahaha, lowkey I think I can do it though
It Will be good content tho!
The second brush she used I have tried those types before and I have found they are not the best for curly wet hair.
Ohh i LOVE the RJ pillow at the background 😍💜😭btw are u an ARMY???
You should detangle your hair in smaller sections I do it that way and I don't lose as much hair
I don’t really agree if you get the normal Michel Mercies brush adult size and when I bought it you can choose how strong or what ever and you could get a better result
Lots of Love, Lana and the Michael brush just seemed like a hella stressful time. I guess we have to stick with Tangle teezer ;)
Hey lana just wanted to say you should do a new hair growth vid your hair grows like weeeeeeed
The grownup version of the Michelle Mercier brush is way more bigger than the kids version and detangles way better.
Lol Lana you’re so funny 😂 you should’ve gotten the Michael mercier for thick hair! I have it and I lovvveee it! Takes me 10 mins to do my whole head of hair ❤️
Kati Alexia i second that!
What color is for thick hair

I’ve been binge watching your videos. Love them. Thank you for all the tips.
I have a question for you. Since you have long hair, what are some of your must haves when you travel?
The length of your hair tho❤❤🙌🙌 and that small bag so cute💕 ... ps I am a small youtuber^^
EZ Detangler is still my #1. Second to that would be almost any style of Tangle Teezer in the size made for grown people. (I'm not willing to risk carpal tunnel for detangled hair).
Love you Lana ❤️❤️
You guys were so early!! Love you!! ❤
Lana Summer 😂I love when a notification comes up for Lana summer because the video is always gonna be good
8:07 its me on almost every wash day 😩
My hair tangles so easily
Lol Barbie brush! My daughter used a Barbie comb in my hair once. I was distracted on my phone, didn't notice it was rolled up in my curls! Hair was cut that day lol.
drop hair growth tips please!💜
pinché Dominicana she has a ton of those videos, there's not much more you can do to make your hair, it's based mostly on genetics (which you can't change)
you need to use the bigger version of the brush if are going to comb your hair in big sections like that (the second brush)
You should have gotten a thick adult size
What did you get done that you can’t wear make up? Doppa pin? What is that
My boyfriend’s curly hair dries and gets frizzy so fast after a shower😖 it’s so hard to figure out what products would be best for him
I love you lana 💗
Woaaahh soo early!! Love you too! ❤
TRY THE WET BRUSH PLEASEEEE!
Nice info needed to buy a new brush...ha ha ha... love the video as usual.... and u're pretty even without make up...💋💜👍🏽
HEY LANA! FIRST!!
Almost!! Everyone was so quick this time!!
I have the regular Michel Mercier and it has no grip at all, the handle is pointless. I have to hold it by the head and use the praying hands motion like you did to tangle.
Please do makeup tutoriels 💗love you to the moon and back 💗
12:15 HOW DO YOU SLEEP and not lose your curls in the morning I swear everytime I sleep even is i detangle my hair it still ends up puffy and tangled and yes i use conditioner🥺 you look pretty with no makeup 🥰
Idk about her but I use a silk wrap. Ever since I switched my curls look perfect in the morning
You should wear a bonnet

What conditionner is this?

The Rj pillow 🥰

Dammm.... 😯 u don't do pre-poo before wash ur hairs??
You are ethereal
That’s how the table teaser is supposed to sound & look
You mean the Tangle Teezer?
Naturalcurlygal yeahh its a typo
5 minutes in and I wanna cry! Gurl, finger detangle first. Don’t pull out that hair. I have anxiety watching as I type this.... 😫😫😫
Jada Nichole who said I was giving advice! When did I say you must do this for your hair type or length?? I made a comment based upon how I felt when I watched I the video. And miss me with the long hair comment, it’s 2019 a lot of us have long hair boo boo!!!
maybe you should have sectioned your hair to detangle
I think the Michel Mercier would do a great ASMR wash day video bc of the crunchy sounds🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️😂😂😂😂😂
Lmao the only reason I am going to subscribe is bcs 1. Her personality

Meh. I’m not a big fan of those brushes. They take too long to detangle my hair. I prefer to use a large wide tooth comb instead. It’s faster.
The reason they looked broken because they all come in different sizes
*Denman brush magically appears*
Love you

by a WET BRUSH detangling brush.
I was just looking at curly hair vids and I saw RJ behind you. haha ARMYs are everywhere..
ARMY!?
Your hair wet is as curly as mine dry
you got me on the splash. I swear by it. the sound is cringey tho
You did this unfair so you didn’t judge properly so yeah
