Splendid footage my dear. I love watching content like this. It makes me feel relaxed. Always be safe and blessed. Hope to see you around my new friend.
Great video Andrew! I really like that split screen video work. And cool image at 4:14, especially with that one little slice of green. I also really like the B&W version at 9:15. Glad you're able to be out and about again!
Glad you liked it! Yeah I thought it helped with the narrative explanation other wise I feel I'm waffling on ha ha ! I was pleased with my first go at waterfalls and those two you chose were my favourites. Thank you Brian as ever ! 😊
Really loved these shots, especially the last one. What a great place to just sit and ponder. Enjoy your holiday, so glad to hear that you can go wandering again. Take care and stay safe.
Glad you enjoyed it Jennie and big thanks - it's a little hidden gem really - bluebells should be out here soon too so potentially a return trip. Just packing up for Wales now and weather looks promising - fingers crossed :)
Thank you! 😃 It's a hidden gem and a beautiful spot Jennifer - Just back from Wales and really enjoyed the trip , beautiful weather and a great time thanks 😃
Glad you enjoyed it Trevor and it's a little hidden gem really - bluebells should be out here soon too so potentially a return trip. Just packing up for Wales now and weather looks promising - fingers crossed :)
Photographing waterfalls is one of my very favorite things to do. I really liked the set up from the top left to bottom right. I might have turned the polarizer back just a touch. I like the look of just a little bit of glare in the shot. Thanks for sharing.
Many thanks Shawn and it's a hidden gem and maybe you are right with the polariser - I'll try different degrees next time and see ! Much appreciated as always and take care :)
Sounds like you had a bit of a mare but the images were certainly worth the effort , im impressed you had a plan C i struggle with a plan A at the moment. I liked the shot at 07:25 and the more detailed intimate shot at 10:56 . Hope you have a great trip , safe safe mate
A huge mare mate ha ha !! Ah well it all ended up OK and a lesson learned (again!) Thanks for the encouragement and support and glad you enjoyed it - Just packing up for Wales now and weather looks promising - fingers crossed .
What a brilliant ‘Plan C’ video ! Absolutely exceptional images. Loved the movement of the water against the dark rocks and a vibrant splash of greenery. Brilliant as always Best Wishes 😊👍
Thank you so much Tim 😀 Was a mad dash and panic but happy with the trip and hopefully revisit when the bluebells come out - a little hidden gem of a spot. Cheers
The phantom tripod! We’ve all been there... I forgot the SD cards the other day! 😖🤪 Great images. That’s a beautiful intimate waterfall. Thanks for sharing.
Not a great place to be at 05.30 all raring to walk down to the beach and find that missing :( But yeah we've all forgot stuff and so annoying. Glad you enjoyed the images and thanks for the great support James :)
Wonderful video Andrew! Sorry for the late comment, my dad flew into town today, trying to keep up! Wonderful local location, not heard of it before! Reading through your video description you'd never know that you don't have experience photographing waterfalls. Wonderful set of images. Of course, my fav would be "Dream Cavern" because of the dramatic contrast. Wonderful image. Have a wonderful time in Wales, you deserve it and hope it is a wonderful getaway for you! Can't wait to see the images from there. But more importantly, can't wait to see the new haircut! 😂 Have a wonderful holiday and stay safe!
Hey don't worry Paul your Dad is far more important ! Another hidden gem and hopefully a good spot for bluebells and wild garlic in a few weeks time too. First time shooting the falls so quite pleased with the end products - something I've just never ever photographed before ! Good choice as that's my favourite especially with the splash of green. Really excited to get out in the van and looking forward to exploring and photographing and the hair is now chopped so feeling much better ha ha !! Take care and enjoy time with your dad :)
We all have a tripod story lol or at least apiece of gear we have left behind, that sinking feeling is not the best lol. You still came away with some really great images and a great vlog too.
Tell me about it mate - that feeling !! Ah well it all ended up OK and a lesson learned (again!) Thanks for the encouragement and support and glad you enjoyed it :)
I laughed so hard at the tripod story - I’ve done that at least twice 😂😂 I now have a spare in my boot at all times. Some lovely shots Andrew, have a great break away in Wales and hope you got your spot at the hairdressers
Couldn't believe I left it at home and normally just leave it in the car but had emptied it out for a tip trip ! I have another tripod with damaged clips which needs a repair so now the shops are open time to get it in for a fix. Hair done yay and getting everything ready for the trip and hopefully the Covid tummy doesn't weigh me down on those mountains ha ha ! Cheers Dave
Nice video. Great to see something different. My favourite is Rain will Fall image. Hopefully this nice weather stays as I would love to get to the beach but if not then it’s back up a mountain 😂
Cheers mate and hoping for beaches and mountains in Wales in a few days ! Glad you enjoyed the different landscape this week - it's a lovely spot ! Thanks Paul as ever :)
Another inspiring vlog Andrew. We can laugh about forgetting things as we have all been there. My worse was a sun filter I bought for the 2017 eclipse. 470 miles later, the hour before, I realized I did not bring it.
I do like a good waterfall shot. Not familiar with the location, but it looks great - will have to get there somewhen. I like how you underexposed to get that really strong contrast in the first shot. Some really nice texture and colours in 'Better Times Ahead'. Welcome to the world of one day video production! You smashed it though mate - great video. 👍
Apologies for the late reply - on a trip in Wales so very little time to jump on here but thanks for the great comments and it was a mad rush but just it uploaded in time 😂 Much appreciated as ever mate 😊👍🏻
Awesome video. Just getting i to long exposures and thought I needed much slower shutter speeds to get that nice silky effect on flowing water. Very nice to see your process. And I assume the caravan is an RV?? Cheers
Thanks James and glad you found it helpful and enjoyable - Much depends on the flow speed of the water but 0.5 seconds worked best for this cascade, light and speed - it's often just trial and error. We have a Bailey Phoenix 440 + which we tow and can then pitch on a site and then I use our car to get out and about into the landscape - we looked at motorhomes but when I'm out at stupid o'clock I needed a separate vehicle to drive to locations so this was the most appropriate style and type - cheers
Forgetting to put batteries or memory cards back into the camera, I can tick that one off 😅 Liked the monochrome photos of the waterfall, a good subject to get abstract images.
Another fantasic video andrew i would recommend you go more into detail on how to use seo as your advantage :D to get even more views in the longrun :D you should always but your camera at the beginning of the descriptin first 150 matter the most :D
Great shots Andrew, not bad for a 'plan C'. Love the vibrant greens of the moss against the dark rocks and the white of the water. There must be something in the air as two Andrews have both posted waterfall photography vlogs on the same night! Have a great trip to Wales, I'm sure you'll be back with some great photos.
Many thanks and a bit of a mad rush on Monday morning to visit, shoot, edit and produce to get this up tonight !! Glad you liked my first attempts at waterfall photography and really enjoyed your film also :) Looking forward to the trip and fingers crossed the Covid tummy doesn't weigh me down on the mountains ha ha - cheers Andrew
