Thanks! I am one of those folks who grew up with Zeppelin...i am in my sixties now, and i love watching young folks enjoy this incredible band...NO OTHER BAND has each member recognized as top 5 ALL TIME in rock history - JPJ bass/keys; Bonham greatest drummer of all time; Page top 3 guitarists and Plant #1 front man - I would request you consider reacting to "Kashmir" live from the 1979 Knebworth show (Bonham/Plant are incredible in this performance) and "In My Time of Dying" live from the 1975 Earls Court show...the latter performance has Page playing slide guitar and he just shreds and Plant's vocals will blow you away...i look forward to seeing if you agree with me... Led Zep loved one band - Steely Dan - check them out...have to do studio versions - but start with "Reeling in the Years" from their first album "Can't Buy a Thrill" and "My Old School" from "Countdown to Ecstacy" - guarantee you will enjoy both of them...thanks for getting on the Zep Train..andy
How generous a gift and how great your recommendations! "In my time of dying" is astonishing -- Plant's charisma is off the charts in the first four "slow" minutes. "Kashmir" has some of Bonzo's most insane live drumming! I knew/figured they dug Steely Dan, and why wouldn't they? But I guess they really loved them, cool!
Nice! 👍 Now she can buy herself some Led Zeppelin albums ON VINYL! Personally speaking, I think a good pair of over-the-ear headphones and Zeppelin on vinyl is the BEST way to get the Led out!! 😜
I saw Zeppelin in the early 70s twice. This is my generation of music. When Zepplin came out, there was no one that sounded anything like them. They were magical. I am proud of my generations music. We were the leaders of such terrific sounds composure, and lyrics were important to us It’s so good to know that young people are going back to listen to Led Zeppelin at a time where the singers actually really sang, and the band actually played their instruments there was no trickery. They sounded just like they did on the albums I actually was very lucky to meet Robert Plant at both concerts. He was a gentleman very sexy. Very nice. ✌️🎶🎤🎸🌸🌺
Yes Roberts tight jeans define things so well. Greatest band ever, I’ve loved them for about 50 years, the more you react to Led Zeppelin the more I’ll be back.
I can't believe I first heard this song in 1973, I was only 17 at the time and already a big Led Zeppelin fan. still listen to this great band 51 years later.
Your comment about Robert Plant's pants being tight reminded me of an interview I saw with Robert Plant. He was asked what advice he would give a lead singer of a Led Zeppelin tribute band. He smiled and paused a second and said "dress to the right."
led zeppelin at its peak was something from another world a young jimmy in his prime is the goat thanks for reacting to this song not many people appreciate this encore, try "black dog" from the same concert
Back in 1975, a friend and baseball teammate of mine informed the team he could not play in the second game of our doubleheader because he had scored tickets to the Zeppelin concert that night at the LA Forum. Tickets to Zeppelin were notoriously difficult to get and they often would add shows last minute due to demand. None of us resented him for missing the game, but we were all very envious.
The guitar for Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray seemed to be supernatural extensions of their bodies, they were so in sync and fluid when playing live. But...NOBODY moved across the stage as cool as Jimmy Page. His signature poses are as iconic to rock as the Jerry West silhouette is to the NBA. The entire band were amazing, true gods of rock. I was too young to see Hendrix, but lucky enough to have seen Beck, Vaughn and Led Zeppelin in concerrt.
Plant owned the stage, period. Jimmy is so fun to watch, John Paul Jones kills it on the bass and Bonham is my favorite drummer. Great band. Loved watching your reaction, as I have seen this many, many times. It makes me jealous, I wish I could hear it again for the first time. 😁
This band's so good I I ended up watching THEM most of the time even though I came to see YOU react TO them, lol! I love that you love them AND want our recommendations! "The Ocean" is probably peak tight-pants Robert, lol, but ur right, their stage presence is ALWAYS spectacular! For a lovely softer Zeppelin, try their acoustic "Going to California" (Earl's Court, 1975). For harder, dramatic, and full of those Jimmy solos you correctly love: "Dazed & Confused" (Denmark 1969 -- EARLY Zep!) (I DID cu react, & it was great!) Rock on!
Love seeing songs they didn't use for the Song Remains the Same (movie or album). Something fresh and not overplayed. They were at their performing peak in 1973. Steph, if you're up to it, take on Dazed and Confused. Go for the full live version from Madison Square Garden, it's about 25 minutes but never a boring spot.
The studio version of this one is pretty good too. You would have loved to see them. They were an hour late the last time they were here but no one cared. They went on to play for 3 1/2 hours that night.
I have been a fan since I was a teen. That was in the mid 70s. Back then, especially in my small city, with Zeppelin, along with other bands, you really did not know what they looked like except for the picture on the album. And You really did not know who did what. I live alittle over an hour out of Chicago and to get a ticket to see them - well, good luck with that. So, I had all the albums and loved them. Listened to at least one album everyday. I had other artists but, Zeppelin's music really spoke to me Their music was just so above anyone else.
I am old enough to have seen them in that year... Not in a place that lagre... but in a 3,000 seat theatre... in Scotland. It was smething very, very special...!! Keep on Rocking young lady (I can say that because I am an old man).. So glad you have discovered them.
I was fortunate enough to get to see them perform about five songs off of every Led Zeppelin album live in concert. It was not the 73 Concert in Madison Square Garden. It was a good bit after that concert. For example, I saw them perform Kashmir live. I was also fortunate enough to be up close and just left of center. Robert Plant was on the left, and Jimmy Page was on the right.
Damn!! I am one of those old Baby-Boomers who was lucky enough to have seen Led Zeppelin live twice in the early 70's. I also saw most of the other great bands of that period, but Led Zeppelin were the best.
Another great reaction, sweet Steph! ❤ When I saw them in San Francisco, it was an earlier gig on the same tour that brought them to Madison Square Garden. I would heartily recommend let you listen to this concert opening performance, "Rock 'n Roll." I think it will knock your socks off. And I would love to see you check out the Beatles. Many consider them the greatest group of all time, and I am among them. 😁
A reminder that YES' lyrics, written by Jon Anderson, were renowned for the spiritual *optimism* they expressed...just one of the reasons why they attracted such ardent fans. Both YES & Led Zepplin were London bands that formed in the same year, 1968. Led Zeppelin's debut album was an all-time big hitter, they hit their stride right out of the gate. It took YES until their 3rd album, The Yes Album, to really explode onto the Progressive Rock scene. While Led Zepplin had mastered textured simplicity, YES had mastered breathtaking complexity, with a funky bass line. There's a lot of great music ahead of you...
I think your next reaction should be a song that Led Zeppelin say they want to be most remembered for. It's called Kashmir. There are several live versions of it, and by far the best one performance wise is called Kashmir live at Knebworth 1979 official video. It's epic!
I disagree. The vocals, stage presence, and drum fills were much better at Knebworth. They played well at Celebration Day, but looked awkward. @@artsilva
You Lucky B*****! I wish I was discovering The Zepp for the first time! I have been listening to them since 1973 and I never get tired of them... I met Page and Plant in the late 90s and have met or talked to people online that were at thire BIG GIGS WORLD WIDE!
I regret that I never saw these guys live. I live about an hours train ride south of Madison Square Garden and saw Queen there twice in the early eighties. When this concert was filmed, for use in their movie " The Song Remains the Same," I was 14 years old. Back then, you didn't send your kid on their way alone or with other kids. They played the Garden a couple of other times before John passed away, but you had to physically stand in line to get them. No online ordering, then.
I seen Led Zeppelin 5 times back in the day, still the best concerts I ever went to!! Robert Plant was 23 or 24 here!! I'm going to see Robert Plant on August 13th and 14th 2024 here in Vancouver, BC, Canada ... can't wait ! I bought the Platinum VIP tickets, they cost a lot but so worth it!! Rhe VIP tickets include a meet and greet!! 🤘 Robert's a lot older but damb he's still sexy as ever and what a voice!!!🥰❤️
If you were alive back then, you wouldn't have to fly to see them. They were the first major band to have their own private jet and in their heyday, toured the world constantly. However, getting tickets during the tours for Led Zeppelin 4, Houses of the Holy (this video is from that tour), Physical Graffiti or Presence (the one I attended)...that took perseverance.
The last one from this concert (MSG 1973) you should react to is The Song Remains the Same intro to the Rain Song (all in one go its like 7 minutes). It is Jimmy at his most shreddy insanity into utter Folk genius...the full skills of the greatest to ever pick up a Les Paul on display. BTW, thanks for the content and watching you blush to Led Zepplin brings a smile to many faces. :)
I think the band was considering a South American tour in late 1977, but Robert Plant's son died in July, which of course put an end to their tour at the time, and to any future plans for the band for that moment. I don't think they ever had a South America tour.
OMG!!! YAY **Luv** this **Reaction** LUV **MyBelovedMagicalLedZeppelin** & **MyBeautifulJimmyPageGeniusWizardBabe** SO much!!! your reaction & your enthusiasm & just yes how much ya luv them & get into them is **Fantastical** Thank **You** very much!!!
I agree the overly weird strange evil depressing vibe that some bands have is not for me either and Led is my Jam for sure because I am into more of an the melodic sound and Zep is right on point with that mostly but they do have a couple of songs that are dark like Dazed and Confused it still is great .
I have to say, I have been watching your reactions for a long time now, and I believe that your reactions are true, honest and very sexy. You explain your thoughts and feelings all you can. I love to watch a young person learning about the music I grew up with. Rock on.
Nice, anything from that group of shows from MSG 1973, is worth a look and listen, they were in peak mode and so in command. The best Rock Band for many, at some point soon, please do their incredible epic, No Quarter. Do the live video of it from the Song Remains the Same concert movie that those shows above were filmed for. Its great to see Great Classic Rock translates to younger generations, great music, especially with real musicians, is very compelling in an era where you see a single singer with dancers and no musicians to be seen, how did they put together much of what you hear for 'modern' music. We knew we were getting the best and is has been validated over time. Rock On! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
Looked like that you just picked "The Ocean" due to liking the name. Good thing about Led Zeppelin, almost every choice will be great. I really like their acoustic side also. Its the roots of their whole vibe. Its as much folk-soul-blues as rock and roll. Bron-Y-aur Stomp is a good acoustic one.
I would also recommend you to watch ACDC live at River plate In Argentina! You will love those guys how they play Rock!! By the way I'm your new subscriber
You are my favorite when it comes to reaction videos and have binged your channel. 👍 I would love to see you react to "Misty Mountain Hop" also by Zeppelin. I agree with you, Jimmy has the coolest moves and is a pleasure to watch. Thanks for making my day. 😊
Remember back in the day you could actually lean on the stage... many times within reach of the players! Security was lax back then, as you had stoned/drunk teens/young adults going to concerts. Back when bands had talent, these 4 were greats at what they did. Such a tight band.
I think you Vive is in the 79’s Blues Rock that Led Zeppelin plays. For more like this check out Robin Trower the Live Album, their most famous song it Bridge of Signs, which is great, but you should check out Alathea first
steph zeppelin is rock gods and jimmy is the best dam guitarist that has ever played there is a lot of amazing guitarist but jimmy is the god of them all you should listen to when the levee breaks by zeppelin
I'm loving your reactions to LZ. They are my favorite band. I really suggest you to react to "Whole Lotta Love" - 1970 - The Royal Albert Hall. Plant (the singer) was at his prime that time.
Led Zeppelin came from another world, and Jimmy... well... Jimmy came from a "galaxy far, far away"...
The fans are "the ocean" This is a song about their fans . Plants references his daughter "The girl who won my heart."
Watching the kiddos gush over Zeppelin gives me hope. Keep the Zeppelin coming young miss!
Can't beat this band live. Nothing but musicians & their music.... That was more than enough. Oh, so goooood!
They're so tight it's incredible.
todays songs are basically a riff played over and over. but these guys add so many changes its amazing in their songs. full of surprises
Thanks!

So much swagger, I absolutely love this song performed live ❤❤
This is where classic rock started for me.
I was 17 years old when I saw them live in 1977.
Watch any live concert and you'll wish you were there
Your comment about Robert Plant's pants being tight reminded me of an interview I saw with Robert Plant. He was asked what advice he would give a lead singer of a Led Zeppelin tribute band. He smiled and paused a second and said "dress to the right."
