Great show, Connor and Lyss!! Really appreciate hearing your research on Gabe, and it's pretty much what I've seen too. Defensive play is not his strong suit, most definitely but his biggest strength that I've noticed is when he gets in close to the opponent's goalie crease. Having said that, he gets pounded in that area by the opposing players and even the goalie. I've also been beating the drum that I'd like to see a sampling of games with him and Ehlers. I think they could make magic together. But that may be in the future, provided they both sign longer contracts with the Jets.
Praying he stays healthy this season. The Jets need him. He's like a young Blake Wheeler with how he can be physical and control the puck and go to the net.
Vilardi is a beauty lol. I'm interested to see Appleton, Iafallo, Barron. It's fun talking about the depth guys rather than the stars all the time. Keep it up.
I am also excited to see what a full season with the Jets brings for him. He is a hot contender. Love when he gets in the crease to work his magic. Might nickname him "Hands". 👐👐👐
Good morning ☕️… another excellent WST Deep Dive ❤️ Much thanks Connor & Lyss , enjoyed listening to your hot takes. PS ..you two were MADE FOR THIS…everything effortlessly FLOWS…a lot like Axel Jonson-Fjalby’s hair 😁
The hardest skill to hockey is to be 100% ON whether you have the puck or not. Being open and anticipating picks come natural to being fully focused on every shift. Steve Stamkos is a good example of a guy whose compete level itself, makes him worth emulating. No doubt Gabe should study his opponents just the same as they are studying him here!
Please do a hot take on David Gustafson. I really want to know all his strengths and weaknesses. We need to get to know David Dustin said a little bit better and a little bit more.
I am a huge fan of what you guys are doing so please take my comment as completely constructive. Connor, don't ask Lyss if she has a last comment on any given topic. She does. Play off of each other in different ways. You are both dynamic and educated. I love the insight of both of you. Thanks for what you do.
How does he not get called for goalie interference more often? He is so close on the crease. He must have incredible body awareness of where he is to avoid it.

Thank you very much!! Once the season gets going we’re definitely going to look to do a few more prospect and depth players for sure.

Thank you so much for the kind words!! We really appreciate it 😁
He's easily a 30-goal player! A full season will definitely be breakout!
hopefully he can play 82

he's very skilled!
Nobody better at taking a puck from the feet to the stick in front of the net.
