This is just amazing! Remember when any movement of the Saturn Five was a major event and here SpaceX is just moving these massive machines all around as needed.
👍 Nah man, that wasn't a magnet sweeper, there was already something laying there and the dude extended a measuring tape down toward it. See where your comin' from though.
hey @nasaspaceflight it would be real cool if you could add a little "map" pointing the location of the cameras and the angle....like a little cone... just a suggestion! love your work!!
Wow, Jack is kayaking fast past Massey's while holding a camera really steady. Well done! 🙂🛶 Guy on the road side looked like a pipe on the ground and the guy had a measuring tape out.
Hello John. I like your easy going style of commentary, you and the all the team at NASASpaceflight do a great job. So from me stuck in the UK thanks for all you do.
Ever since they planned to build a second tower, I wanted to suggest that they install a rail/track behind the pivot of the chop sticks. The purpose is to enable tower2 to handle 12 meter ships destined to be orbiting tankers.
10:15 The first thing that popped in my head when seeing the pez dispenser(payload bay) was Bender from Futurama😂 Which in my opinion would be an appropriate name for one of these ships.
They turn the grid fins when moving in/out of the megabays so that the folks operating the SPMTs can actually see them if they have them in launch configuration they are virtually invisible when viewed from the foot of the stack.
MUTED no option available. Don’t get me wrong, I love John and the crew and he has a great voice. I just love watching the goings-on at Starbase as if I’m there. I’ve been watching for years and prefer the ambient sound as it used to be.
My theory on the magnet sweeper and the metal removed from starhopper is that SpaceX has proprietary metals that they don’t want random people or competitors to grab
With taller Super Heavies in design phase (V2, V3), where will they be built? Will they fit in current MB or will they have to build a taller facility?
10:19 That red flag/panel to the right of the men marks the lifting point, right? What is the square panel a ~meter above it with empty space around it? Made of tiles but the center is raised. Could this be where a retractible landing pin will be? It's in line as a proper balance point. I figure this flight it's just the cover, for testing. Not a Starlink antenna, right? No point in putting one on the edge of the plasma flow.
Another great commentary! Loved the comments about the payload door. Also can’t wait to see what the launch mount will look like. Can’t even imagine it!
Will NEVER EVER get tired of listening to John Das Galloway
Agree, will never get sick of listening him
Agreed; just not on THESE videos. Ambient is best! 😉
You're entitled to your opinion of course but in this case it's wrong 😅@@Lensman864
@@Lensman864each to their own !
I fourth that!
10:08 extremely professional and technical explanation on the starlink pes-dispensor
Haven't seen it yet but gonna assume it isn't technical at all. 😂
Pez
Thank you very much Jack, John,Mary and the entire NSF team for the amzing updates and converage.
The internal iris reflection at 0:57 illustrates why so many UFOs have a diamond shape.
Okay, now we need Das to do these in front of a green screen so we can actually see what he's pointing at 😂
@@markw6509 Call it the Starbase Forcast.
This is just amazing! Remember when any movement of the Saturn Five was a major event and here SpaceX is just moving these massive machines all around as needed.
The tilt-up gave me a great perspective of the size of Starship! Massive :O
Loved the booster catch. It was classic.
Success, there is no substitute.
Getting it right, the first time, Priceless!
Do it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke.
@iamaduckquack Yeah, they would work well on the Moon and Mars, too.
Thanks DAS & NSF for another awesome SpaceX Boca Chica Update!
The heat shield on ship 33 seems so much more refined. I have high expectations for its debut flight
videos with ambient sound are the best. it's like you walk around the Starbase. thanks to Jack, Mary and the NSF team for the great shots
The "pez" door in that shot reminds me of Binder's visor.
😅 - Das
Narrated Summaries are great.
Great update, thanks guys!
The guys wrestling the pipe around were hilarious! @11:00
Hi John DAS good afternoon. Great and wonderful explanation. Great NSF team ❤❤
👍 Nah man, that wasn't a magnet sweeper, there was already something laying there and the dude extended a measuring tape down toward it. See where your comin' from though.
Not sick of Das yet, in fact very glad he's able to contribute commentary!
Also love the Hank Hill reference.
Hands down best commentary on RUclips
Only watch with commentary. It’s literally hilarious!
I love “Das narrations they make me laugh.😂
😂❤
Need the shirt - "Work continues on the Orbital Launch Mount".
Never sick of listening to you Das
Thanks John! Great narrative and fantastic photography. Very current as opposed to using old stock footage that is very outdated. Thanks again!
I still lo e the DAS narration for WSBR Star Base radio. The soothing sounds of DAS coming to you mid week and ones one the weekend.
Thanks NasaSpaceFlight!
DAS in the past I would skip through video, but now I listen in its entirety.
Thank you! - Das

Best star base update 🎉
NSF,y'all rock! Peace
Appreciate the commentary guys!🎉
Another great video. Thanks All
Cant wait to see them to test the 9 raptor 3 engines on starship V2
DAS ist Lovely as usual
Great vid as all! Go V2!!
Everyone has their own preferences but I prefer the commentary. You can provide context not always apparent in the video.
Great narration as usual. Good work, Das👍🏻
always enjoy the catch ups at the star base the NSF team do awesome work great job
your ambience is just fine
8:52 damn it looks GOOD
I think they turn the booster grid fins while coming through the high bay door because so they are better visible from the ground.
“Tapping” on an aircraft part is typically done to test for delaminations in composite structures.
always awesome job das and the NSF crew can't wait for flight 6 always busy at StarBase
Love the new commentary videos! :)
Wow, Jack is kayaking fast past Massey's while holding a camera really steady. Well done! 🙂🛶

Hello I'll have to catch up tomorrow once within Cornwall x

5:22 WOAH WOAH
Thanks, Das!

Goo gooo gooo SpaceX launch flight 6....
I’m waiting for them to license an actual Pez dispenser. I’ll take 10. 😊
How did you know I needed a video to watch 4 minutes before I realized it?🧐😂
Its the detail within I enjoy.
Thank you for these wonderful videos! I was initially "anti-commentary" but you've grown on me. Just as Attention Deficit Ohh Shiny as the rest of us.
Hey, I'm a real person watching the videos 😅 Appreciate it! - Das
10:15 The first thing that popped in my head when seeing the pez dispenser(payload bay) was Bender from Futurama😂 Which in my opinion would be an appropriate name for one of these ships.
As everyone knows by now, Das-da-boss.
Beyer on a barge at last! 😀
Ideally it should be 'Beyer barging barbecuing bacon' ... 🫡
Tapping on a tile might be similar to tapping a grinding wheel. If you get a ring you know it isn’t cracked.

In the video settings, there's a second audio track setting that has exclusively ambient audio.
Hvala NASA 👍🇺🇲🚀
Now I want a complete video on "Hank Hill"...
I'm a bit sad there was no stream for S33 rollout
But tbh the final launch rollout will be an incredible moment
My theory on the magnet sweeper and the metal removed from starhopper is that SpaceX has proprietary metals that they don’t want random people or competitors to grab
Beautiful!
Thought the big crane was staying until January?
Jack still needs the kayak
If it hasn't already been said, that close up of the pez dispenser at about 10:15 looks like Bender
Jack FINALLY in a kayak!!😂😂😂
Hey! Could you please also put the date when the orange text boxes show up? Thanks!
The “Pez Dispenser” door also looks like Bender’s mouth on FUTURAMA. (It also looks like the frame around his eyes.)
11:47 get a fancy laser pointer-themed cursor lol
it would mess with the ambient audio version tho
john, you need to do some Das art with these!
5:20 the WHAT mixer? 🤨🤨🤨
With taller Super Heavies in design phase (V2, V3), where will they be built? Will they fit in current MB or will they have to build a taller facility?
Ain't no way I'm changing the audio track.
Seriously. I wasn't even watching these UPLOADS just because it was ambience alone. The commentary is a HUGE VALUE ADDITION to the content. ❤️
@@fayaZZayaf Nah ... ambient is best despite John's excellent work.
Every time I hear you guys say "The Two Towers" I want to see a sign on the base of each saying Cirith Ungol and Orthanc. :)
its a gauge to check the gap between tiles..!
Starlink Door = Gorts Eye
Can you create a 3d video from all the different camera angles taken of flight 5?
looks like we have a new camera angle on the nosecone of ship 33
Is this with the upgraded forward flaps that are farther back?
I got healthy from listening to the narration 👌👌
imo they should name some of them like the space shuttle and crew dragon
He wasn’t tapping that tile, he was erasing the chalk with the side of his hand. 😊

Our nexst home on Mars little soon.
mentioning leg day - actually the arms should be called fly machine
Another great commentary! Loved the comments about the payload door. Also can’t wait to see what the launch mount will look like. Can’t even imagine it!
Nah, I like the voice commentary - keep it rolling
It pumps propane AND propane accessories?!
I had to do a double take on that intro 😆
are B2 ship aft flaps smaller too or it is an illusion.
John! Who's John? But hi Das 😁
Either way ha! -Jas
Wow 👍🇺🇲🚀 bravo SpaceX
Did the fix the B12 chine?
next holloween we need a giant king kong on the chop sticks
Pirate Cruise, Jack?
damn steam boat service yard turned starship service yard lol
