Hey Jen, I love your channel. I know you buy the frozen breakfast sandwiches for your family in several of your videos. To save money I make bacon, fried egg and cheese on an english muffin(which i have toasted first) then I freeze them, by individually wrapping them in cling wrap. They microwave great, even from frozen, usually takes around 2 mins to heat through. These are delicious and super cheap to make :)
You are the QUEEN of the kitchen!!! Omg. So inspired. My husband caught the last 1/3 of this vid with me and loved it. I’m a terrible homemaker. I’m encouraged and informed to try harder now!! Thank you Jen!!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you Jen...I am behind on your videos...but always enjoy them. You are so organized! I never have gone to Aldi...we do have one in my area I will have to check it out. Thank you for being so down to earth abd real❤
My family has a pit bull terrier. She is very afraid of fireworks. She is also very sensitive to loud noises. They have a jacket that wraps around your pet to help them get through the stressful times.
Way to go! As someone who travels a lot for work (but lives alone) I admire your motivation to not just door dash food! Though I live in Los Angeles so it’s easier to fall in that trap!
The snow this late is awful! In my area we’ve been having so much rain and Southern California definitely was not built with rain in mind. That brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese sounds so good, I’ve never seen that one before!
Just found you & your channel by chance last week as I searched for a better way to meal plan. Great channel! I’ve gotten so many great ideas that I bought your meal planning course too - I finished that & have EVEN more ways to make planning meals less of a chore. Crazy thing is that I live in Muscatine too! Crazy to see you shopping at “my” Aldi’s and Hyvee too!! I picked up that shredded lettuce for the first time at Aldi’s recently & wow…it comes in handy so many ways. And love your sweet pit mix - we have one too (from the Muscatine Humane Society)…best dog ever ❤❤ Thanks for all you do!
Loving the "new' smile! Beautiful.Didn't think there was anything wrong with your teeth before but you do what makes you happy. I also had braces as an adult.
My oldest son went through a vegetarian stage when he was about 13…he is 25 now. But I remember just going with it and supporting him although it was difficult planning because we are typically carnivores 😂
I love watching your videos, learn so much, and I figure if it's good enough for the nurse to feed her family, then it's good enough for mine. ;) Have you ever made that "Chop-Chop" salad with the cauliflower/broccoli/thinly sliced or diced red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, bacon bits and sunflower kernels and I use a mix of MiracleWhip with some Ranch salad dressing to mix it all together, it's so good! Btw, love the nail polish!
My mom would put cucumbers in vinegar water after cutting them. They were really good and would last at least a week. I don't eat them any more because I've developed an allergy to them where my lips and tongue swell. Thank you for sharing all your ideas.
Great healthy haul Jen! Love the ingredients prep. Going to the grocery store tomorrow so I will rewatch this while i am prepping produce. (It’s late so i fast forward thru it tonight). I have been making a bowl of very finely cut up veggies the past few weeks during produce prep. ( onion, carrot, pepper, broccoli, cauliflower etc.). Adding that to my lettuce and it makes a quick amazing salad in no time! So tasty we crave salads for lunch now! 😳. Also, have you ever tried prepping romaine and storing it in mason jars in the fridge? Seriously lasts up to 2 weeks! Thanks for the inspiration! 😘
You hit the nail on the head about pitties being scared of everything. My Charlotte is a pittie mix, she is a level 5 clinger, a sweet sweet girl, loves everyone, and afraid of her own shadow.
I live in Des Moines, and have only been able to find Good Culture cottage cheese at one HyVee store all the way across town. I was so glad to find that my HyVee store now carries it. I still can't find it at at any Walmart store.
Oikos yogurt...add about 1/3 of a drink mix stick. I use Sunkist strawberry. It's too sweet mixed as directed in water but sprinkled over that yogurt. Wow! I buy at dollar tree.
I used to be able to fill or overflow a cart at Aldi and never be over $100 not $200 but then probably talking longer back and when Aldi was more just the basics/necessities. I go both ways about them adding new products, trendy products and name brand products. They aren't the biggest stores and while adding some things it is nice as one can more likely get all in a one stop shop, I worry it will affect their overall low priced main goods and room for them though, etc. They have their niche and the more the better, but only to a point... I for one don't need them to carry Doritos, Snickers, the Rao sauce surprises me, etc. I AM happy they have started carrying some Asian ingredients/sauces and a few more vinegars, and some other items, etc. The name brands though I don't need if they start taking away from the other things that has made Aldi what it is, and for a lower price for consumers... Aldi's could add on to building sizes easily these days imo because the business is there BUT someone below claims some Aldi's are closing. I find that very hard to believe... They are building from what I know... Anyhow, a big Aldi fan and have been for decades so a bit passionate about it... WM should close, Aldi should be everywhere and keep doing what they've done great imo.
It question when you open your shredded lettuce. If you don't use it all is there any way to keep it from Browning right away? Thank you very much. Have a great weekend
Aldi has the cheapest price on blackberries - 1.29 for a package. I got 2. I also found a few pieces of their new capsule collection. Can’t wait to wear the stuff. My Aldi has been carrying cilantro for years but just added parsley. I also love the French green beans. I finally found a meal planner. Took me 4 months. I usually buy a spiral bound one but I couldn’t find any. I got the Pioneer Woman Meal Planner (I had the same one last year). And I will most likely go back to Walmart and get another before they run out so I have one for next year too.
Great hauls. Kids are so funny. My 10 yr old daughter will eat whatever I make and say it’s fantastic. My 12 yr old son is so picky and his preferences are very specific and always changing. Keeps me on my toes for sure!
Your pronunciation st Croix correct think of the island st Croix 😊, nice haul , well teens change there minds about foods my grandson is 21 he's been going through a stage past 3 years eating salmon and rice only 😅 this is a kid that never ate seafood ever he hated it , but he's a body builder and they said salmon was good for him working out , lol lol so there you go lol have a good weekend 😀 wow those strawberries were cheap .I love that herb container .the oikos yogurt is very good
My family loves the au gratin potatoes. When I was little, I always thought my mom called them "all rotten potatoes" & I remember wondering why we're eating rotten potatoes 🤣.
So cute! My little girl thought when I said I was cooking from scratch I was saying “from scraps”. It kind of works so we still use that one! Made soup from scraps! Lol
The Oikos Pro is so good!! They mix whey protein in it, which is how they get the protein so high. It also has a few grams of fat in there, which really gives it a creamy taste/texture.
I love your channel so much! I don’t mean this as a negative comment by any means but just a question. Do you find that when buying groceries and you “figure out what you’re going to make with it” vs meal planning more cost effective? I struggle with this weekly.
My daughter decided to become vegetarian for two years. I scoured RUclips for healthy vegetarian meal ideas & somehow made it work within our budget. She still ate cheese, dairy products & sometimes eggs. After two years, she simply decided she missed meat too much & went back to a regular diet. It was fun trying different meals & plant based things. I never really questioned it. Just let her do her thing. She's not one to follow trends & I know her peers weren't all suddenly vegetarian. Once I knew she could be vegetarian & still have a balanced diet, I went all in helping her prepare different meals.
Great video Jen, thanks for sharing. Has your Aldi raised prices? I saw a video saying that Aldi across the country are having problems and many stores are closing. Have a great weekend.
I find that really difficult to believe. They are building and ours are busier than ever. Where did you see that? Now WM I could believe. They are the far larger giant but their prices and lack of stock have been serious issues.
If you only want one item for fruit rinse water, use baking soda. It's alkaline and will cut the acidity of a lot of pesticides. I actually use both.....I was a chemist for 35 +years
We support our daughters when they are making healthy choices. My daughter was vegetarian for several years. I supported her in that choice. When she started adding meat back to her diet, I supported her in that too. She is 31 years old now. ❤️
Cold cuts and Cheese are so expensive. I like Bologna but I haven’t bought it in many years and it was expensive. I used to take Bologna on whole grain bread with yellow mustard and some fruit. One of my favorite work lunches and I retired 13/ years ago. I have noticed that eggs have come down in price.which is great news.
I found a deal of 6 red bell peppers for $5. Huh! bell peppers, chive and onion cream cheese. Awesome combo. Went to get the cream cheese and they were out of the Philadelphia brand. I saw the Tillamook brand chive and onion and thought it will be fine. I can get the other stuff later. I will NEVER buy the Philadelphia brand again. I haven't tried the others Tillamook has, but I will.
Your Aldi produce looks incredible - my local store... not so much. Loving your beautiful smile Jen! Andy btw, OXO should have sent you the new glass salad spinner free since you tout the multi use of it in washing your produce.
Nice work supporting a healthy relationship with food for your kids. Letting them explore and find their comfort place will go a long way.

Yes to your question about the prime!!!
The snow this late is awful! In my area we’ve been having so much rain and Southern California definitely was not built with rain in mind. That brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese sounds so good, I’ve never seen that one before!
I love the Catalina crunch cereal mixed into my yogurt.

Thank you for sharing your groceries! 🥯 I hope you have a pleasant weekend.
Happy 17th birthday Lillia! Yea April vlogs!
Love the haul! You can make egg rolls with the coleslaw mix!! So good!!
Great idea!!
Loving the "new' smile! Beautiful.Didn't think there was anything wrong with your teeth before but you do what makes you happy. I also had braces as an adult.
Thank you for another great video Jen! 🥰
I'm excited to go to ALDI this weekend & get all the fresh produce 😍😍 I love Aldi salad kits, sooo good!
It's so good!
❤Thank you Jen! For another great Aldi haul!!
Soooo satisfying!
I love your dogs!❤❤
I watched this video and immediately went to the grocery store for the new Doritos, and some easter candy jumped off the shelf. I blame you Jen. 😊🤣🤣
Those peanut butter and jelly snacks remind me of P.B. Crisps from the 90’s with that peanut man!
Oh yes haha!
I get that package of lettuce all the time at Aldi. Usually the best price and I like the different color lettuce. Great haul, love aldi!!
My oldest son went through a vegetarian stage when he was about 13…he is 25 now. But I remember just going with it and supporting him although it was difficult planning because we are typically carnivores 😂

I used to rock a fried bologna sandwich back in the day. Haven't had one in decades.
My mom always made those potatoes too! I make them once In a while
Between Jen and Christine, my liver weeps
They say "grab a beverage" I hear YAAAY WINE 🙀
Love a new video. I have been missing me some Jen! You look soooo good Jen!
Yay! Thank you!
LOVE the Oikos Pro! I add some cut up strawberries & protein granola...delicious!
Love your containers for your produce, thanks for sharing!

I’m so excited, we are getting an Aldi near me this summer, I live in Louisiana 😃
Love the Artisan lettuce. So delicious 😋

Cauliflower cheese sauce is divine x
Baking soda is what I soak my berries in. It’s magic and makes them last so much longer.
Luv luv the organizing!! More more
Yes, what is it with the Prime drinks? And in my area they are pretty scarce.
Love your doggo! My hippos are so fun 💗
Oikos yogurt...add about 1/3 of a drink mix stick. I use Sunkist strawberry. It's too sweet mixed as directed in water but sprinkled over that yogurt. Wow! I buy at dollar tree.
The artisan lettuce are really good
Great haul
I have 2 of the same egg containers :) They’re SUPER!
Hey, Jennifer. Great video. I love large grocery hauls. Are the farmers back in the fields yet? Take care. Rhonda
The chef cupboard packaged creamy potato and broccoli/cheese soups are delicious
i live for cinnamon catalina crunch and yogurt!!!
Great video Jen! Try cutting your greens (romaine and other lettuce) with a plastic knife. It won’t brown!!!

My kids are obsessed with prime!
Great video ❤
Trim the ends of your herbs same as w/cut flowers & they’ll drink the water in bottom of herb-keeper staying fresh even longer
It question when you open your shredded lettuce. If you don't use it all is there any way to keep it from Browning right away? Thank you very much. Have a great weekend
Jen, phenomenal Video! I laughed, and agreed, and laughed and agreed. Didn't cry, so that's good. BTW, your smile looks beautiful!
Thanks, Jen! 😁
(Your smile is looking great!)
Your dogs are so sweet ❤

Great job on all the produce and pop pretty healthy snack options. Kiera, I don't like pickles either! Eggs are down in my area..._1.99/dozen!
Yeah a new Jen Chapin video!!
Great prep video!
Yeah!I just love me some Jen!😍
The coleslaw mix is great on tacos healthy to

My pittie mix is terrified of everything. Blender, lawn mower, hair dryer, drills, sweeper...all the things 😂
Jen's love language is containers!!!! What about green onions? I find they get totally limp after two days. Maybe not refrigerate?
Place them standing up in a glass of water in your fridge.
How long do you keep your boiled eggs for
Our lab/ pit mix is terrified of electric toothbrushes and greeting cards with sounds!
Nice to see an Iowa grocery store…HyVee being used. Always crazy Iowa weather during basketball playoffs. Lol
I can't find the prime in cases any where! It's a YTer drink
Your grocery haul would be $ 6-700 here in Canada. Especially here in BC. Really enjoying your videos.
My Aldi has Fairlife.. excellent choice for smoothies...the only time I drink milk
Love love.... aldi...
My family loves the au gratin potatoes. When I was little, I always thought my mom called them "all rotten potatoes" & I remember wondering why we're eating rotten potatoes 🤣.

@@HaleyHinman haha. It makes sense.
Great haul ❤
The last time I travelled I almost missed my plane being 15 minutes late at gate close
I’m just wondering how long the prep takes after you’ve been shopping?
Probably 60-90min
The Oikos Pro is so good!! They mix whey protein in it, which is how they get the protein so high. It also has a few grams of fat in there, which really gives it a creamy taste/texture.

No, meal planning is way more cost effective!
Good morning 😃
Those BBQ Doritos are delicious. The prices at ALDI in my area are not much different than Walmart these days.

Epic Economics on RUclips. Todays video, March 23rd.
I buy those 3 cheese omelets now from your rec. So good! At my Costco, an 8 pack is $12.99 and Sam's Club has 12 pack for $14.99.
Oh I need to look for those!
If you only want one item for fruit rinse water, use baking soda. It's alkaline and will cut the acidity of a lot of pesticides. I actually use both.....I was a chemist for 35 +years
So which one did you go to????
We support our daughters when they are making healthy choices.

I ❤ bologna. 😊
