ive had a lot of luck with the cheap walmart brand of trout tubes. theyre like a hot dog colour and once i started wacky rigging them, they've worked like a charm. just let it sink, twitch the rod a bit, then slow retrieve, then a couple more twitches. you wil catch something!
Yeah they stocked for a little while in Nov but stopped several weeks ago. The good thing is they put thousands of trout in a few lakes in the area that are catch and release. This was at Koeneman Park in Jennings. Lakes 21 and 7 at Busch Wildlife are also stocked for catch and release.
I’ve been using trout worms for 3yrs. I use Lucky Lady trout worms. They’re a little thinner with more action Thant the trout magnet worms. Rigged with a #10 Sabretooth hook,wacky rigged, and a small split shot about 12-14” above the hook.
