    This is one bad truck and Todd Larson with TSR Performance shows us what it can do at Iron Horse Mud Ranch featuring Trucks Gone Wild. This beast is pushing 2600 HP and is a must see. After doing some sweet power lifts and deep mud bogging he ended up breaking the output shaft on the gear box. Down but not out the TSR crew was hard at work removing the rear drive shaft.

    ALL mud trucks should be like this.
    junkyard ly6 6 liter, swap the cast for the forged, open the ring gap, put a few thousands of slop in the mains, studs for the stock ported 813 heads, a big blower(I'd run a turbo or likely twins), & the fuel & cam to match is the cheap as dirt foundation. ms3 pro for engine management & you have 1,000 at the wheels without breaking a sweat. for WELL under 10,000
    trannys are different...
    weakest link in the engine would be head deck thickness, tfs has the new thicker ones for the next 1,500 dollar junk yard motor haha!

      Jickdaw Monelason who would put turbos on a mud truck, you need that instant boost, no time to wait for spool.exe

    you arm chair dyno guys are hilarious. people pay 200k for a machine to do what you guys can do over the interwebs. you guys should go into business dynoing rigs over the interwebs........ U guys ever seen a monster truck making 1600 horse, or do you think those are 800 horse...... This truck has 4 times the weight in tires and 8 times the traction as grave digger or the like. To turn all 4 instantly takes more than 1000... Just go back to sippin on your hateraid.

      Finally, someone with a brain on here lol. They never consider all the extra stuff this truck has to deal with compared to a monster jam truck, or any smaller mud truck. Damn thing weighs 16,000 lbs.

    2600hp!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 yeah rite

    • @thealpacagang4670
      @thealpacagang4670 7 лет назад

      Frank Chapa the truck may not show its power because of the massive tires eating up the horse power but still I doubt it has 2600 something more like 1700 even then all four tires probably way as much as the truck.

    • @lukehamilton2130
      @lukehamilton2130 7 лет назад

      Meaning 2600 to the crank, gotta think you use a lot of HP through all the mechanics of the truck.

  • @xexdxgxex
    @xexdxgxex 7 лет назад

    maybe 1000hp but no where near 2600 sorry. But killer truck

    • @lukehamilton2130
      @lukehamilton2130 7 лет назад +1

      2600 to the crank, losing a lot of power through the mechanical parts of the truck.

    I have an engine question... why do high HP engines have such an erratic idle? I don't know a lot about it so pardon the "noob" question. Love that sound tho.

    • @Mudstamp
      @Mudstamp  8 лет назад

      One touch to the pedal and she is very responsive. Plus you gotta lot of weight to set in motion which makes it look erratic when idling.

    • @levianderson5630
      @levianderson5630 8 лет назад

      +Mud Stamp Films ya that or it has a big cam shaft in it, thats probably what it is

    • @jickdawmonelason7239
      @jickdawmonelason7239 8 лет назад +4

      +levi anderson cam timing.... rotational mass has nothing at ALL to do with it....
      specifically lobe overlap, or lack thereof (which coincides largely with lift duration.).
      stock, smooth idling engines have lower, shorter durations of lift along with minimal overlap, where both intake & exhaust valves are open at the same time. while overlap plays a big role in power, behavior, and application, it is largely a byproduct of the high lifts & long durations on high comp NA engines that make big power up high. Inversely, that big hot cam won't perform nearly as well in a 9.6:1 turbo engine. The overlap let's a lot of that compressed intake air go in one & out the other, bypassing combustion & robbing power.
      so when you hear a vehicle that sounds like all the round places might be square is just the valves going way up & staying there for a while. and the reason for them going up high & staying for as long as possible (overlap), is to allow MAXIMUM flow at high rpm. these big cams run like they sound for the most part, low rpm operation is Jerky & unefficient; however at a certain rpm things(air flow) come into harmony & the POWER comes on!! that's the reason for pairing high rpm stall torque converters in automatic cars with big cams, to have the power available immediately. there is TONS of literature on camshaft design out there. interesting stuff.

      Limiter straps where a touch to long causing the sway bars to do that. They are working on fixing that issue.
