The manhwa this was based on is actually really good. For one the artwork is incredible and the story and character were not half bad. The mute girl gets a lot more development too.
I could not remember the name of the manhwa, but I still remembered the ending.

Goku by a long shot. Hogan stealing the moment from Bret and Yokozuna at Wrestlemania lines up way too well with Goku coming in during Resurrection F and completely stealing the glory from Vegeta finally getting his revenge on Frieza. Not to mention the way he beats so many of the bad guys is so Hoganesque. Get pummeled hard for the first half when out of nowhere he Hulks up(Kaioken/Super Saiyan/Whatever) and starts no selling the bad guy before hitting with them the big boot and leg drop(Kamehameha + Spirit Bomb) for the win.

For anyone wondering(this is information from the Manhua & doesn't excuse the movie for not explaining it )
_ The MC is kind of like the court inspector: His job is to monitor how the officials/lords treat people while disguise as a comonomer so he is only allowed to have 1 servant & 1 bodyguard but he has the authority to mobilize troops from neighbor county/town(of course the local troop under the corrupt official won't listen to him) to arrest said corrupt official/lord
_ The country central control is gone & so is the MC's authority(& why he's the last inspector)-> He use amadalian containing the souls of his former soldiers(he was a general in war time that decide to become an inspector in peace time).

Phantom Memory was a Studio BONES show, back when BONES were a huge deal. I mean ADV had already licensed their second and third titles. And then they went onto make FMA, which Funimation got and was a hugely popular tile, so getting a hold of another BONES title must have been a priority and that met outbidding both Funimation AND Bandai Visual US.

@@CornishCreamtea07 I don't think bones got much recognition until FMA brotherhood around 2009 even though they did have like rahxephon, eureka seven & wolfs rain before then. Even soul eater and kurau phantom memory had some nice animation but they were still kinda under the radar before FMAB. It was FMAB that set the new level of animation imo, they changed anime before then studios kept trying to match the quality of anime like Akira and Cowboy bebop but FMAB took it to a new level.

Another Korean Anime to look into that was released around that same time is Aachi and Ssipak.
It's a really funny romp of two guys encountering these strange blue alien midgets who are after this woman because she can eject blue bottles out of her rear.
And these blue bottles of blue stuff are worth millions to the aliens.
So the two guys Aachi and Ssipak have to help this girl so she doesn't get captured by the little blue aliens who are after the blue bottles that she ejects.
I haven't seen it for a long time, but that is all that I remember.

The film is exact adaptation of either first volume or first half of the first volume (its been a long time since I have read it) of the Korean manhwa I remember I enjoyed the comix very much, one of the few Korean comix I enjoyed overall along with Priest!, its story line is quite darker then the run of the mill shounen manga and if character dies, they stay dead. I do think this was to be a start of a animated series but was released as a film when cancelled. A lot of things are later explained, why he uses guns instead of swords, despite once being the best sword master in the Kingdom, his role in the fall of the kingdom, etc.

Okay, when it came to the video, everything about the anime that's been reviewed, something about it, seems very familiar, like I've seen this type of anime, over several times.

This looks like an interesting film. Not my thing, but still cool, especially the parts with the women.
Based on those clips I had to slow down to .25 speed to see, you're going to talk about Evangelion 3.0+1.0 next time? I felt so hurt that Amazon did the English dub (and did it so lazily in parts), and the meta content really didn't fit like it did in the original series and End of Evangelion. All the same, it was a worthwhile conclusion. Sorry, I had to get that out there

It explains pretty well why Munsu became the way he is. Eventually.

DO NOT WATCH IT. Read the manga first. It's amazing. There is one philosophy/gimmick in this story that is spoiled in the "movie" (it was supposed to be a serie but it was cancelled so they glued the episodes they had to make a film).

10:35 He's a middle-aged man in leather pants? No, he's more like the Undertaker of anime protagonists. Kevin Nash never had supernatural powers (unless having the book is a supernatural power).
