This is a really creative idea, I always wondered why mmorpgs never allowed the players to BE the dungeon/raid boss, it would be so cool to be able to pick and choose where you drop your mechanics and try to split up, knock people out of the arena, be the big bad, you could even have faction specific raids, say in wow you could invade stormwind as a raid where a player would choose where to put defenses, play as the bosses, maybe be able to call in reinforcements or have other abilities like in a strategy game.
there's games based around this all the time the problem is the only ones who want to be the raid boss usually get so good at it that no one wants to play if they know whos the dungeon master so it only works if the game is only against AI because of this reason as dungeon master type games die fast because of dungeon masters getting way to good at it and of course the exploiters of certain spawn mechanics on both sides so its infinitely harder to make a dungeon master type game for multiplayer than it is for singleplayer the only game that kind of works in this style is if instead of you being the boss and dungeon overseer you instead are the elite monsters that spawn periodically with like 3 other teammates that are also elites that randomly spawn with random elites as it would be unfair if you could all spawn as the best elite every time but even those games usually have problems with player base even if they last muuuch longer
@@wolfdeathnogames5314 Could you name some of these games? I don't know any rpgs which would let you play as the boss in a multiplayer scenario. The only things comparable are shitty mobile games that have you make a dungeon for someone to clear that are made to siphon money out of your credit card, which is very different from a pre-made dungeon where you can play as the bosses and like drop some aoe meteors on people which they have to avoid, summon some extra mobs if they pulled too many enemies at once and such. The dungeon master becoming too good for anyone to beat just sounds like poor balancing, in an mmo, if it's difficult but not impossible, people would beat it. Maybe not your average mm party, but an organized group/party could. You could also either have skill based matchmaking with increasing rewards, or if there's not enough players for the matchmaking system not to take forever, have rewards scale based on the raid boss players mmr alone so if people want more loot (which they always do), they can fight higher rated dms for it.
While not specifically a game that allows it, I remember playing Neverwinter ages ago, and since it allowed players to make their own modules/quests/dungeons, someone made one where you did become the BBEG, with your choice of one of several overpowered items to help you out while playing it, culminating in fighting what was basically the fantasy version of the Power Rangers. I played that one so many times, to try each item's route and then just for fun. Granted, you weren't fighting other players though.
@@wanderingraven it being a bannable offense and having the rewards for each respective side balanced to reward people who aren't wintrading I.E. having each side have different chase items and be rewarded for completing certain goals throughout the raid/dungeon specific to each side that are counter to each side. There's definitely ways to design the system to be rewarding enough when playing properly so that wintrading wouldn't be commonplace.
i normally dont like card based roguelikes but the terraforming warfare gameplay appeals to me immensely this game also has natural dlc options in things like liches and demons and such
wow completely inthraled i when this video ended i was like "wow what a short video..." then i saw it was almost an hour long!? amazing video kind sir! i really hope to see more of it!
The game UI and mechanics was like Gordian Quest. I love this, it reminds me of that Indie game where you'll make your own Dungeon and you are the Final Boss. You'll set 1st Room of Mobs (ofcourse they are not enough to stop the Raiders) first then a room for traps and then the Second batch of Monsters then you as the Last Boss. I forgot it's name and now I wanna play it again.
@@ghoulishgoober3122crawl is the game where players play as monsters, you have one player playing the hero, if a monster kills the hero they swap places, doesnt sound like what they mean
Now THAT is a peak game, be the big evil dragon! Hope in the future you can play as different dragon types, especially Dracolichs and build an undead army that marches towards the enemy each turn ode a Green one with poison/acid/wind/earth field effects
I loved the game Eye of the Dragon, its ancient by now but SO good and you are a dragon flying over those insects and making them disappear or obey. One newer one of those would be insane.
As someone who loves classic WoW - particularly Onyxia, BRD, Azuregos, etc. This definitely intrigues me. That and i already play a decent amount of TCGs and Hearthstone, so I feel like I'd pick this up pretty fast. Thanks for showcasing this!

Does momentun state carry over to other turns? And consideing lava damage seems to be taken only at start of turn you probably should lava the tiles they're standing on at start of turn too.
Luckily gold has a very rng purpose and is sometimes completely useless. Check out the pinned comment for the next video of this game where I do pick up more gold :)
Unfortunately without the specific fire tornado relics that buff its damage, it doesn't do that much. I did mention it in this video but without those relics, it does 200 damage or so in comparison to with relics when it was doing over 1000.
In one of my other non-recorded runs, I had 2 relics that boosted fire tornado combo damage which resulted in full board clears of over 1400 damage each time. This would also be a potential way to play the game :) However, I'm sure the developers will be looking closely at build variety in the upcoming release of the full game!
Not as far as I know but the studio has other games they made that are similar with different themes. You may be able to suggest different bosses in the forums :)
I don't like rogue like games ,I want to feel the constant progress in a game ,better stats ,more damage ,etc ,without the fear that I'll lose everything if I die . Anyway ,cool video .

Yess!! It's soo much fun, you're gonna love it :)
@@ReformistTM started playing immediately after your video ended. Thanks for showcasing this game its awesome!
this goes straight to my wish list
Not noticing that you moved to Phase 2 during the first raid was funny!
An important part of you build only was active and counting up during Phase 1.
Ah, same devs that made a Few Nights More, which was pretty fun. Definitely sticking this on my wishlist.
I love the idea of anti-hero games it reminds me of the game carrion or The Darkness sadly many people didn't play either
The Darkness II is my all time favorite game where you're the antagonistic force
I loved both!
my first vid of yours haven’t even finished the video and i love how you make videos, you explain and show gameplay great
Thanks so much for the kind words! :)
Looks like a really fun game, look forward to more vids.

I saw for the magus it said deal 600 damage to ALL enemies. possible minions?

good game , every update i find the OP Strat and kill first act so easy cant wait for more
This is gonna be a must buy🤌🏽
Awesome video, made me try it and loving the demo!
Do you have any idea when the full release is? Can't find any specific date.
The exact day has not been announced, but the planned release date is the first quarter of 2025
It's like that one manga i once stumbled upon
We really like this game 😊
a dragon not getting gold is BLASPHEMOUS to the dragon kin

When is this coming to mobile?
Will this be pc only or is there a console port in the works?
Excuse me dear sir... We need more Barney 🤔
It's here: ruclips.net/video/z1BHmarwtns/видео.html
So you are basically role playing deathwing at this point with fire and earth attacks 😏
Sand blocking chard soil and lava could be a issue later.
Never been into deck builder games, but this looks fun.
same
My heart barns for burnet 😂
Looking at other gameplay videos the lava strategy seems to be only real way to play the game. Kind of of a bummer

Hoping we get a console release.

Why would you make a raid boss game a card game ;_;
Why is it a side view turn based card game. The unholy trinity T_T
Cool concept, but it's a shame this is a card style game

Well it kinda sucks it’s a turn based game

You should play Skyrim
