People think trading is something you can just do nilly-willy. "Look at some lines on a chart, buy here, sell there". they underestimate the complexity of the market and how economy works and ignore the fact that the people who actually make money, are levels of sophistication and intelligence above them.

tldr: you need to research any business you want to invest in, look at the industry they are in, their competitors, all performance metrics, future plans, then overall macro environment and possible impacts and possible scenarios of what could happen, if the odds are in your favour go invest, but most people want a quick easy fix or algo such is life. Nobody wants to put in the effort :)

I need to sign up to ITPM. Been following all the principles taught by ITPM, but can't wait until I am able to sign up fully. It's no wonder that all these guys fail when they say they used technical analysis or some kind of algo as the basis for their trades. I don't see how that can work out unless your doing short term trades and even then your effectively just gambling.

intrigued to hear the importance of technical analysis played down here.
It is only a small part of learning to trade. Like Raj said in the video, you can learn those technical charts by buying 20 dollar book and learn it in 20 mins.
Technicals can ignore fundamentals for only so long...but they can do so for lots longer than you can stay solvent.

I found myself adding more positions when i remembered that my gf is in need of money then i ended up burning my account, grounding should be the first lesson in Forex market.
Was the account draw-down due to adding more positions, or adding more poorly thought out/unquantified positions? All the best wishes with your trading bro.

In America on the S&P can you make money buying good name company's that pay dividends, roll over dividends to accumulate more shares. Is this a way of building wealth? Banks here give .25% on cash which sucks.

Stoploss hunts are real!! Happened to me many times. Would have had so many great trades if my stops didnt get hit. Most were correct directions, but just had my stoploss to high. No stoploss using for me anymore and it has worked good.
In Malaysia IB agreement is plentiful. Most if not all traders fell into the trap of daily trading...

which timeframe do l use to become a professional, am struggle.
50:00 the GFC never ended. Financial Repression pushed me into risks without rewards. Can't do that any longer and the Compounding Effect of Inflation is the final blitzkrieg of central banking on my aspired future freedom. Even hedging in gold is being hammered by The Dollar Milkshake Theory and not one gold pumper is apologising for missing that. I've lost a lot more than these guys and totally agree that it has to be DIY and not relying on 'financial consultants'.
