His fitness was one of the big assets so he liked taking guys into deep water and exposing their fitness. Manny is not really a technical boxer. He’s more of a fighter than a boxer. He fought Hatton’s kind of fight, but he did it much better. Hatton also walked into that knockout.

Hatton was the smaller guy and had some excellent exchanges but wouldnt keep his defense high to stop that jab. Could have fought this to a split decision but he tried to brawl.

Hatton wasn't an elite fighter.
Hatton was a world champion. He was definitely an elite fighter. He just wasn't on the level of Floyd and Manny. Nobody was.
