That interview literally brought tears to my eyes.....boy do I miss those days as well as the ATN (including Steve Sommers, Bubba Bo and Tom Bigbee and the Taterman Chip Pratt). God Speed Dale Sommers....700WLW is definitely not the same. Bozo is probably turning in his grave.
Remember Possum Breath and Golden teardrop a couple of drivers I remember. I wrote him a poem one time and he read it on the air. One of the proudest moment's of my trucking life.
The glow of the gauge panel, the constant whine of the turbocharger, the drone humming of the drive tires behind the sleeper,a cup of piping hot dark roast 5 caffeine shot pilot coffee, and this guys voice keeping me up during all nighters. It's been one hell of a ride, cya Bozo, catcha on the flip side.
Steve i listened to your dad for years when i drove for cfi out of joplin,mo . Bozo kept me going and so are you still listen to you at nites god bless you steve you keep the bozo alive .
I was the program director for a station that ran the Bozo's syndicated show on the overnights. Talked to him a few times. Great people, and I always enjoyed the show. Great to hear that he's continuing on satellite.
Hello Morty! Thanks for signing my baseball 20 years ago, out on the sidewalk in front of the Hello Deli. You were the friendliest person on The Late Show. It was so nice to meet you! ( 20 years! Yikes! )
Springer used to be a local politician in the Cincinnati area at at one time he was the Mayor. He then became a news anchor for WLWT in Cincinnati and then began a local talk-show. The show was very formal and tame...sometime later he left the news anchor position and the talk show morphed into the madhouse spectacle that it's known for so after years of being known locally in Ohio he became a national celebrity of sorts with the talk show. I knew of Springer as a news anchor first and foremost.
This man is not only a great entertainer who sounds like my late Iwo Marine Dad but broadcast the lookout for the DC snipers and was p/u by a trucker who in turned called the police and brought these nasty bastards to justice! Right on Boz! Proud of ya! Arthur A Denman
I used to listen to Bozo's WLW show at night as I was going to bed. I'd listen to it in the summer time as well. I loved the music, obviously, but I also liked how the show was put together. Bozo could be engaged in a phone conversation with someone about truck driving or the fines that police impose, etc etc, and not even being a trucker myself I'd be enthralled. Later the program became a trucker talk show, after 9/11, and then he became ill and his son took over.
His show started in Sept. 1991 (though it was serious the first few years) and this segment I think is from earlier in '91. Jerry was handsome when he was younger
I know the Bozo has a show on XM Radio now, but I really miss the old show on WLW... with Lake Bozo and the whole cast of characters...it was good stuff. =)
@CoastersNSich I remember in the fall of '94 when Cunningham informed the Bozo on the air that he would be suspended for two weeks... That was kinda low...but then, what else do you expect from Willie?
Remember Bozo! Kept you awake at night. Lot of people don't realize that's when the freight really moves. I guess you could say "back in the day". Man I miss a lot those guys from that time frame. Better not get offended back then the guys would just lay it on thicker. Lol
I remember Dale Sommers talking about a way to convert any car to electric. Or somewhat electric. Like a Hybrid to get tremendous fuel mileage out of it. Any car. You remove the existing transmission and replace it with a generator that puts power to electric motors that run the rear or front wheels and all you would need to do is raise the engine speed a little bit if you needed more power. The engine would be working way less and it would at least Double your fuel mileage and maybe triple it. But that's not what these controllers want. They just want more and more money. It's a great idea but it'll never happen
LOL, HE always thought he knew more than the doctors, if he would of taken their advice, and taken care of himself, perhaps he would still be on this side of the grass.
Is this the same old man who rambles on and on about things he did 50 yrs ago? The same man who every year speaks of the "last bozo cruise"?...he is a joke..XM would do better to take this relic off the air.....

I used to listen to Collinsworth, Cunningham and then hear the Bozo come on lol...sometime around 1993
XM Radio was great when you are a Long Haul Truck Driver and the Truckin BOZO kept lots of people Entertained. It was Great Times

he’d be shaking his head nowadays with all these so-called “truckers” out on the road because 98% of them got their CDL’s from a cereal box
ive been out of the trucking buss, for twenty years .but i always enjoyed him and dave nemo.
HERO long before his time 💪💪💪
I'd LOVE to see more 80s/early 90s WLWT news footage with Jerry Springer, especially in great quality like this!

Back in 2000 I was a regular call-in on the show. I was..."The Mystery Man"
RIP Bozo. You will be missed.
This was before Jerry put out that bile currently in syndication

The Trucking Bozo Rocks :)
Remember when Bill Cunningham "killed off" the Bozo on his show... and not just once?

Sometimes its hard for people to face the truth. The joke is the Truckin Bozo,an obsolete man doing a sad imitation of a radio show.
holy crap is that Jerry Springer
LOL, HE always thought he knew more than the doctors, if he would of taken their advice, and taken care of himself, perhaps he would still be on this side of the grass.
I've heard this on dx long range and I'm in ne pa. , good signal ! and interesting stuff better than coasttocoast but noory is a good guy though.
