Hi Lily! So many beautiful knits, I get so inspired! Love your designs with the beautiful details and colours, they are so gorgeous. I can see myself knitting so many of them. The Tonight Top has been on my list for a while, it is so elegant. I really need it for my wardrobe (probably in black like the rest of my wardrobe, although I'm trying to get some colour in there...). Take care, see you soon! A.💗
Oohhh Lily, I'm so excited for both the Piping Hot sweater and the Surpass Sweatera😍😍 Will be keeping my eyes open for the test call for that one. 😉👀 However, it will be so hard to decide between all of the different most gorgeous options (colours, materials)... excited! ❤
Hi Lily from North Carolina! I love your designs, they're so beautiful and original. And I like your attention to detail. Your color choices are gorgeous too. I really want to make the Calm Down Cardigan. I'm just now finishing my first ever cardigan, it's the Novice Cardigan started in April 2021, so I've really let it sit. I've had to frog it back to adjust the fit. Right now, I finished the first sleeve on magic loop and I have the most ugly ladders on the cuff. I'll be frogging again, but the 2nd time I'm going down 2 needle sizes & I'll try the Addi Flexi Flips and hope I like the result a lot better. I can't stand using DPNs. My 2nd sleeve is ready for the ribbing so I'm close to finishing this sweater. I still have the button bands to do. Almost there! I'm going to do the MKAL 2023, it will be my first MKAL, I'm not big of letting go of control, I hope I like the experience. I'm also knitting my first half & half triangles wrap for an easy mindless knit when I'm tired. I'm in my last year working on my masters degree in Data Science, so I'm not looking for any additional challenges. The MKAL might be a mistake, I hope not. Sorry I got a bit chatty. Have a great weekend, it's nice to see you back on the Tube 😉
Hello, I bought your pattern of that cute vest, but I have a big question about whether blocks A, B and C are repeated simultaneously? That is, do block A once, move on to B and return or do it as it says according to the size, example 2A, followed by another A, then 2 B and so on. Another little thing when I finish the sequence that comes in each size, you have to go back to where the numeral signs are or knit again until you reach the waist, thank you, regards, and I love this vest. OverItslipover.
I just “swam” off sleeve island for my Piping Hot Sweater test as I watched this… very fun! I love the Surpass sweater! Can’t wait to knit it someday (maybe I can apply to test!)
Glad to see you back! Thought you might like to know that Kendra from the Balanced Skein podcast here on RUclips also just featured your Tonight Top. Her’s turned out beautiful, and she discusses why she chose your pattern and why she likes it. I have knitted 2 of your patterns (Ribblesdale Vest & Feels Right Tank) and enjoyed knitting & wearing both. Your directions are always clear and the fit is great. I have a few more of your patterns in my queue, and was wondering if you offer any quantity discounts for purchasing multiple patterns at one time? Thanks.
Thank you! I just watched Kendra's video - so lovely to hear her kind words about my pattern! Her version turned out stunning. Glad you've liked my patterns so far! I'm afraid I don't have any quantity discounts running, and it would be unfair on the people who have already bought batches of patterns to introduce one 😊 Sorry!
Welcome back! I started watching knitting RUclips just around the time you stopped uploading so it was a nice surprise to see this new video pop up on my feed today :) loved hearing about all the thoughts that went into your pattern designing and that new sweater is gorgeous 😍😍 since you and your mum are both knitting on the scrappy mohair movement sweater , I was wondering if you knit at the same gauge ? Love the idea of a garment being knitted by more than one person 😄
Thank you! I'm determined to not leave it as long next time haha! We do knit at a pretty similar gauge yes, and I can generally modify my gauge slightly to match hers when need be. We've shared many projects over the years and have a pretty good system!
Congratulations to the winner. Mark, I have come across a really interesting young knitwear designer you might be interested in - Lily Kate Makes. She does really interesting sculptural knitting for effect. Not colour blocks. However, her garments are modern and interesting. I hope this is useful to you. Xx
Great podcast...so very interesting to see older patterns knit up with different yarns.
thank you! Transforms them doesn't it? 😊

Thank you so much! I think it just works well in black, and you may as well make something you're going to wear all the time! 🥰
always love your podcasts and hearing the thought process behind your timeless, versatile, and special garments.
thank you! Hopefully the thought processes make sense 😅

Perfect timing! Thank you! I think the sweaters kinda go together even if they're different, so hopefully have similar appeal!
