i have mixed emotions about this game.. as a "Free 2 Play" game its good but NEVER spend money there. see below why: unlocking new heroes needs ressources farming (what takes a hell lot of time and drop chances are very low) or you buy them with money. 1. here comes the problem: everything you buy gets deleted when you start/reset a new character/game. Thats reason 1. 2. the price package is made very customer unfriendly. for example: if you want to unlock the cheapest hero for 300 ingame currency... you have to buy the 9,99€ (500 ingame currency) pack. because the 4,99€ is only 250 ingame currency.. same goes with expensiver heroes.. the packs are always 50 or 100 ingame currencys lower then the hero costs.. 3. Data Security! - when starting the game you accept the policies. Problem here, the policies say's that they want/can give your data away to third person companys. AND they want access to local data on your PC, chats/comunication with other players and visited websites... thats a BIG no go!!! so yeah, its Free to play but at what costs..

@TpDgreat there was uktimate viessa and lepic in the beta. Now there's ultimate ajax. Bunny and gley too. There will be an ultimate version of every character. The games modes doesn't get repetitive once you've levelled up. The standing around ones are mostly early gamem plus there's raids and dungeons n hordes etc with more content coming. This is how all looters shooters start off. Look how far destiny got when it came out there was almost nothing to do and everything was the exact same. I've got alot of hope for this it has alot of potential. Also the standing on a circle missions only 1 of you need to stand on it. This game and this style of game would be pretty boring solo. You'll get the most fun out of it by grinding with a team n friends. I played in beta and enjoyed it alot. Can't wait to unlock my girl gley 🥰😅 absolute dps monster. Freyna and valby too.

yeah i get the idea of that but you do NOT want the best stuff instantly. believe me i rather have a game that rewards and respects ur time with the grind and progress arsenals to have the best gear/builds. which this game so far shows. at least in my perspective. it’s just more fun to work ur way through and learn things
Basically... Play this game if youre not struggling in life. If you have a family, take care of your family, if you have debt, take care of your debt, if you are doing well in life then yes play it, but most definitely put real life first. Sure Grinding games is fun but if youre struggling in Real life then youre only going to go in a spiral.
When it comes to character selecting and the skills they offer there isn’t a lot of diversity within the game. We’re all the same character just with different skins.
I keep saying the same thing in several comments, it seems that the people who are playing this game are very young and do not have much experience in online gaming, anyone knows that Nexon releases games, recovers the investment in a predatory way and closes them.
This game is okay. But for me personally im not a fan of having all the cool skins locked behind pay walls... Id rather purchase the game and just have everything in game to unlock. Too many games are going this route and I just find it to be extremely boring. The whole point of a looter shooter is to find really cool and rare items...
Free to play just means a bunch of microtransactions, if they dont have em yet they will come. Get your hands on some borderlands games if youre looking for a good looter shooter
@@micinater I also prefer games that you buy only once because f2p games often don't have an end. I usually prefer to have some kind of end goal in games I play. Like for example in Borderlands I like to complete all the quests in every playthrough.
I am ok with microtransactions as long as they dont affect the gameplay BUT have you seen the prices on these transaction? An ultimate skin is $60 with couple more items = $100! thats nuts! lol
I’ve played Borderlands 2 and 3, Destiny 1 and 2 and Warframe. TFD doesn’t beat any of the other games in anything but graphics quality. It has potential since it’s basically a bare slate, we’ll see how it goes. Personally, I got bored after 5 hours so I deleted it.

@@TheSpongyMallard The First Descendant doesn't beat Destiny 2. That is incredibly hilarious to me. It's 1000% better than current state Destiny if you take the rose tinted glasses of Nostalgia off. And I do wanna say I am not a Destiny hater without reason. I have probably around 1500 hours in Destiny 2 and I stopped playing after Lightfall due to how Destiny got absolutely ran into the ground. Warframe and TFD will have a friendly competition coexisting while Destiny is just that drunk hobo in the corner that constantly asks you for money.
I like the First descendants, at least in beta. I dont mind some grind, but the character(s) i actually want to play(Gley/Freyna/Enzo) will be extremely difficult to farm for. At least a few weeks(maybe months) by my current schedule, and it kinda sucks. i wont stick with this game too long, but it was fun for bit
You can farm freynas parts in the 2nd area following the story. I had to do each if the missions a good amount of times because the parts are rng but yeah u get her fast easy and early. Gley is quite later on tho I think like 4th or 5 area
@rayosborne8617 it takes 16 hours to research characters and those freyna parts from the quests are rng. I had to do each one between 7 and 12 times for the part to drop. But yeah. All character parts are rng
The people are playing this Game for obvious reasons! Is it fun ? Yes! The Gun Play Feels good, the Movement is clunky tho. But the pricing of the Items and cosmetics is criminal

as someone with over 1.7k hours on Warframe and almost 200 hours on destiny, I think this game is okay at most, i played 5 hours when it dropped and to me it mostly follows the destiny route in terms of play-style. Warframe has a lot of versatility when it comes to ways to play whereas i can see this game being more on the “Shooter” side if that makes sense. This would most likely be a game i play inbetween when im bored of my other titles but not a main game

How long did you play Warframe? Did you do the cinematic quests like second dream/new war etc? Did you unlock the railjack? etc.. Warframe is a slow burn that starts off at it's worst and becomes more and more fun the more you play it, and before you say "games getting good after x hours is not an argument" remember that you said in this video that this game didn't get fun untill lategame.. so...
That's what I said and played for 9hrs straight yesterday as I had off. Don't get me wrong definitely server problems rn w lag and freezing for several minutes but honestly the story kept me playing

I think it’s got good bones and people are acting weird like this game is committing a crime by doing what works in comparison with similar games. It’s optional but I blame RUclips content creators for misleading people into hating micro transactions without actually understanding what they are and when they are problematic. It’s like the phrase woke whenever someone sees a non white hero in a game or movie. It’s disingenuous to think that people deserve a lot for doing absolutely nothing and still feeling entitled to complain. They literally are letting you play the entire game without any restrictions and even funding the development of the entire thing. But it’s ludicrous that they are promoting OPTIONAL CONTENT for a small fee to help further develop the gameplay for better experiences post launch. It’s nuts the game is a decent 7.5-8 it’s fun overall but gamers are too lazy to try beyond one day and base an entire game based off the launch and preseason period. It’s so stupid

Destiny and warframe are both microtransaction filled games with in game benefits , i enjoyed warframe before but i dont support these monetary practices with my wallet , people who defend warframe or destiny models are just on mega copium but feel free to enjoy the games

So I don’t like war frame nor destiny but I played this game for 2 hours and I actually enjoy it I kinda want to keep playing it I hope this game gets a lot of support and updates and dlc I think it’s pretty good besides the obvious thirst traps with bunny and viessa I like the game and I say it’s worth a few hours of your time

I'm really enjoying it so far. Destinyframe is a good description for this game and since I'm a warframe vet I love the modability of all the weapons and Descendants. My main complaint is that sometimes it's hard to quest solo without the right character and wish there was more matchmaking options for the open world parts. Wish more Descendants had better movement aside from only the grappling hook.

Warframe is amazing if u have someone to teach you modding and a lot of how to do certain things like credit farm efficiently and how to get new frames guns and what is worth farming and what isnt
Destiny when it came out after 8 hours of gameplay you already had max out caracters it took a few years and DLC before it became good. This game will definitly take more then 8 hours before maxing out.

Game is good but i have 2 maybe 3 problems. Unlocking characters is okay but to have to wait more than half a day to play that character is quite insane. After farming items that have 3 to 20 percent drops or having to craft said dna modules which also take time. Also the gear progression is like all over the place. 4 different sections of modules you got your main gun, secondary, big boom stick weapon, and descendant. Thats like a massive clutter of stuff when basically switching between weapons is situational. You almost never swap weapons. But the last thing is ammo drops. The ammo you are using sometimes can be very hard to come by especially since you chew through it often.
That’s reason he mentioned warframe and destiny. In warframe it takes 3.5 days exactly to craft a new frame. 12 hours on most weapons. The game play is just so good and you have enough stuff to do that it doesn’t feel bad.
The problem with these games are they don't have a good end to any aspect of it. No end to looting/upgrading/enemies until you have play 300 hours or more
This will quickly become the favorite game of all adolescent males. Not only because it includes plenty of virtual T&A, but because it does nothing to encourage or require cooperation with other players in order to "succeed".
I loved Destiny and Warframe was alright. Tried this one last night. I did like the Grave Walker fight but those big bosses are the end game content (at least at this time) and there is not much more too it. The story seems generic so far. I have mixed feeling about the weapon leveling and mod system it uses as it is more similar to what Warframe uses then what Destiny uses and that was one of the things that kind of turned me away from Warframe. I guess I have been having fun playing so far but I have only just unlocked Bunny and feel like I have both not seen enough of the game yet but at the same time have seen the whole game just not all of the different skins and mechanics the other bosses and enemies have. You have zone defend, wave survival, collection quest, and bomb delivery missions then you have the monster hunter leap on boss battles. That is the whole game loop. More then anything the game is actually just making me want to go pick up The Final Shape and finish out the Destiny 2 story and play that instead. As much as I would love some of the skins in the game because they look great I have no desire to spend any money on this game at all. Especially not $100 for a single ultimate bundle. I will give the game a couple more days but I have a feeling that will be the end of it for me unless some of my friends want to play with me.
This game looks so terrible, it’s going to drop off the map in a week. And for everyone saying “it’s free”, there are lots of things that are free. Time is money and often more valuable. If this takes up your time and it’s grindy/boring, you are better off doing something else. Just because something is free doesn’t make it worth your time. Absolute idiocy in the comments.
I have no idea how people think this is better than warframe, like its literally warframe lite. Its shooting is worse, movement is worse and more limited, there is functionally no stealth, no other options to play thru the game other than straightup hold w, shoot and ability spam. Even in a power fantasy sorta way warframe is just better
If you only compare the first 5 hours or so of each game, I can see why they think warframe is worse. Warframe does take a few hours to actually become warframe.
I like warframe and destiny and idk it all just feels so mediocre. I never felt I had an objective. It was more like go to marker and shoot. Go to next marker and shoot. Someone else said it best it's a monetization model looking for a game. Idk I only played like 2 hours maybe I'll try a little longer.
There was a perfect game like The First Descendant, it called defiance, and New version also called defiance 2050, But they took it down a couple of years ago and that upset a lot of people.

It's fun. It's easier to progress and start. A lot of drawbacks I have from Warframe is how cluttered their systems are and nothing really is making it easier to understand unless you have someone who is a veteran of the game and guide you through everything. TFD starts simple, easy, introduces to mechanics on a good pace... making it feel more welcoming. Warframe pushes you around with quests and all but makes things more confusing. idk if it's just me but it's how it went for me. I still have WF installed and was hoping to go back to it if Apex is not fun anymore.
@detective2221 The minimum specs to play the game is quite high. I have a mid mid tier rig and it spikes to full load once in a while. My only complaint right now is the lighting, especially inside dimly lit rooms. The only way to fix it is to have the lighting settings on high. I also encountered not being able to go to a different map, the game just needs a reset and it's ok, at least for me it never happened again. I was also booted out and the game crashed entirely while doing nothing. I came from Apex and League so these things are not as annoying to me any more... I do agree that these can be very frustrating for others. Glad it never happened to me while I was in the middle of a grind.
I really like this game there’s only one thing I do not like at the start it feels to easy I kinda want more challenging enemies that put up more of a fight
I'm going to be honest, the entire thing looks like the most generic hero shooter you could possibly imagine. Though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to pick it up when I get home. Looks hella fun
2 days I've tried to play it on xbox and it's been down for both days. Not a good 1st impression for xbox players. Somebody doesn't want our money lol. Simple answer is yes because it's free Only time a "Is it worth it" is if you lose money on the game. If you pay 50$ and than don't like it and miss the refund you lost 50$ If you don't like TFD you lost a few hours, and it's back to whatever you were previously playing.
After playing for a couple of days, I can honestly say that I don't see what the hype was all about. I got too much Tennos to care for to worry about descendants. And for those who love it, have fun!😊
This game is amazing! Love the abilities plus the upgrades ect… i played the beta and waited for this for months to release. I just love thst u can run in on someones mission and just join in and still get the loot. Easy transition but overall fun. Couldnt get into wf anymore and it wouldnt allow me to finish the mars or one of the early missions so i wuit. Destiny is by god boring and a mess. I joined just a month ago and was forced to speak to 20 people before it would allow me to play a mission and it made me run all over the map slowly running which was essentially walking as far as the map could go. Well bungie just for that u lost a paying customer. Not to mention its confusing wat to do for beginners this late or even returning after not being vague on wat to do where to go… the descendents seem to fix those issues but they have terrible low frame drops everywhere and the graphics seem to have be worse then beta
Brand new Xidax gaming PC that has had no issues with any games installed until this one. Couldn't get it to finish the initial shading which would crash at 96% every time even after reinstall. Wish everyone luck as it looks like a fun and visually aesthetic game.
i love it. characters and cosmetics feel like warframe. gunplay and abilities feel like Outriders. certain sounds and UI feels like outriders too, i only really feel the destiny vibe in the dialogue and player hub
One thing I’ll disagree with you on is the cosmetics. The cosmetics for the women are borderline softcore porn and just look awful in the setting in my opinion. Bunny’s ultimate outfit is LITERALLY a bathing suit.
I played all day yesterday and quite enjoyed it. Even went ahead and paid 10$ to get another decendant. That being said the game is very average right now with room to grow. I can see where its going to become stale real quick. Need more enemy types. The reuse boss model's (they do change things up to seem fresh). They need a couple more decentants to round out the elemental pool and make it easier to get a second one that isint just bunny. They should also create a talent tree for each to add some variety. Missing a good opertunity to turn bunnys charge run (or AOE circle) into a shorter more powerful dash where she bunny hops. Idk. Again alot of potential here.

@detective2221 in your opinion** I think it's a solid game. The bones are there and it's current monetization model will kill the game. Again I work for a living soooo it's not that serious to me. It's a mindless time killer. They knew what they were building when they added all those microtransactions. If they want it to be any thing other than that then they'll make it.
It's rather obvious that your ultimate isn't reaching the boss, so you would need to go closer... This was rather painful to watch, but gave a decent gist of what the game's about. Only thing I'd criticize for a video like this, is that a brief overview of what content the game has - for example the different classes/characters and how it's monetized. Since that's a rather important aspect of whether or not people will find a game worth playing as opposed to solely the gameplay against bosses.
I think this game has 2 major problems they need to address first. Variety and difficulty. Not enough variety in enemies or missions types/objectives and the game is WAAAAY to easy. Half the time you can just stand still and get hit. Especially with all the health pickups on the ground all the time.
If you're a longtime vet to other looter shooters then it's gonna be a boring thing to schlep through the missions. If you don't like what made the game then no. If you want a new thing to try out for free then here ya go. If you're waiting on someone you can fill all your card slots in the first mission area and get a variety of weapons. The bosses you don't really need to pay attention to mechanic wise. Press L3(like a melee in cod) and it will highlight the weak points. You don't need to pay attention to that. Just shoot it in the eye and thruster and it'll die even if you're underpowered which really disappointed me. It has this great mechanic where you can rip off pieces of a boss but you don't need to do that with the first two collosi you fight. Dark age lord shaxx makes these bosses easy with his bubble shield btw. Right now it's meh, it's basically how outriders was at release but it will get better.
Dont forget Nexon is the first game company add microtransaction system to game in gaming history. Also look at The Finals.. who talk about that game nowadays even it was so hot when came out. Just enjoy it but dont over hype for it.
Felt weird to see a tgm video on the first descendent pop up lol but I agree with everything you said except for if u didn't like destiny or warframe probably not because I hated both of those games even tho I like looters shooters and this game is so addictive and fun with alot of variety on characters and builds and roles within a team too. The gameplay feels closer to the division and outriders even the combat. The way the character moves and even the reticle does. But the characters feel like frames I agree. It's definitely grindy. I had to grind missions so many times to get the parts to craft a character lol. I will say they've added alot since the beta so feels like they're listening to their community and there seems to he hope with new content being added regularly. They already added 3 new characters with another coming next month called luna who has been said to basically be octavia from warframe. I see myself sinking ALOT of hours into this game. Looking forward to truing the new dungeons they've added as there wasn't dungeons in the beta.
LoL this game is so bad. They probably copy some program and mod it to make people spend money on a bunny character just to make a quick buck. Game is so bugged and dumb. I start at lvl 1 with a 1500 to 2k weapon in my inventory i didnt even know i had until i swap it out and start one shotting mobs. The stability of the game is so bad and studders so much and freezes. The pros is that its free so nothing to lose.
Just throwing this out there. I don't like destiny, it's SUPER repetitive especially the first one that I played and it just felt like there was nothing else to do even with friends it wasn't fun for very long. Additionally, I'm not a huge fan of Warframe, to me it's insanely grindy and part of that could be starting so late, but also you get absolutely zero direction on what to do in warframe. And I say that to say this, I have been LOVING First Descendant. Even when I have to go and grind just gold or kuiper shards, I don't find it to be a headache. Normally, I would get extremely bored doing the same thing against AI over and over, but I don't on this game for whatever reason. The ONLY thing I wish was different, is the chance to receive premium currency (Normally paid for or earned through battle pass) in other ways than just a credit card.
Short answer is No! They don't respect the limited time you spend on Earth + it's boring, shallow, repetitive and half of the time you don't even know what you are collecting, way too overcomplicated and yet as simple as a brick tied to a stick.
It’s just a generic mmorpg that looks and play like the modern generic mmorpg. BUT, it’s fun nontheless, and play it for the fan service. TLDR: its a free game, you can just download and try.

I'd like a looter shooter experience where if you stumble in a cave you can find a really awesome weapons and not just a starter type weapon

yeah i get the idea of that but you do NOT want the best stuff instantly. believe me i rather have a game that rewards and respects ur time with the grind and progress arsenals to have the best gear/builds. which this game so far shows. at least in my perspective. it’s just more fun to work ur way through and learn things

If you have a family, take care of your family, if you have debt, take care of your debt, if you are doing well in life then yes play it, but most definitely put real life first. Sure Grinding games is fun but if youre struggling in Real life then youre only going to go in a spiral.
You can play any game if you have patience and don't have a dedicated time slot for progression. Fun is fun.

This game is okay. But for me personally im not a fan of having all the cool skins locked behind pay walls... Id rather purchase the game and just have everything in game to unlock. Too many games are going this route and I just find it to be extremely boring. The whole point of a looter shooter is to find really cool and rare items...

I’ve played Borderlands 2 and 3, Destiny 1 and 2 and Warframe. TFD doesn’t beat any of the other games in anything but graphics quality. It has potential since it’s basically a bare slate, we’ll see how it goes. Personally, I got bored after 5 hours so I deleted it.

@@TheSpongyMallard The First Descendant doesn't beat Destiny 2. That is incredibly hilarious to me. It's 1000% better than current state Destiny if you take the rose tinted glasses of Nostalgia off. And I do wanna say I am not a Destiny hater without reason. I have probably around 1500 hours in Destiny 2 and I stopped playing after Lightfall due to how Destiny got absolutely ran into the ground. Warframe and TFD will have a friendly competition coexisting while Destiny is just that drunk hobo in the corner that constantly asks you for money.

I like the First descendants, at least in beta. I dont mind some grind, but the character(s) i actually want to play(Gley/Freyna/Enzo) will be extremely difficult to farm for. At least a few weeks(maybe months) by my current schedule, and it kinda sucks. i wont stick with this game too long, but it was fun for bit

You can farm freynas parts in the 2nd area following the story. I had to do each if the missions a good amount of times because the parts are rng but yeah u get her fast easy and early. Gley is quite later on tho I think like 4th or 5 area

You get freyna through a quest, mine will be done researching in 6 hours
@rayosborne8617 it takes 16 hours to research characters and those freyna parts from the quests are rng. I had to do each one between 7 and 12 times for the part to drop. But yeah. All character parts are rng

First game in the current gen that's actually worth playing! Reminds me alot of Anthem which was one of my fave games from last gen.
Anthem was great gameplay with no loot or endgame, once people saw that they were out which is a shame. Wish BioWare would’ve kept it going.
How contradictory your comment, Anthem disappeared so it wasn't worth playing, the same as Destiny 1, and with this game with Nexon behind it something similar will happen.
as someone with over 1.7k hours on Warframe and almost 200 hours on destiny, I think this game is okay at most, i played 5 hours when it dropped and to me it mostly follows the destiny route in terms of play-style. Warframe has a lot of versatility when it comes to ways to play whereas i can see this game being more on the “Shooter” side if that makes sense.
This would most likely be a game i play inbetween when im bored of my other titles but not a main game
I have 10k hours on both Destiny 1 and 2 and 5k on Warframe, it absolutely does NOT follow the same play-style as Destiny, it's closer to Warframe.

Warframe is a slow burn that starts off at it's worst and becomes more and more fun the more you play it, and before you say "games getting good after x hours is not an argument" remember that you said in this video that this game didn't get fun untill lategame.. so...

That's what I said and played for 9hrs straight yesterday as I had off. Don't get me wrong definitely server problems rn w lag and freezing for several minutes but honestly the story kept me playing

I think it’s got good bones and people are acting weird like this game is committing a crime by doing what works in comparison with similar games. It’s optional but I blame RUclips content creators for misleading people into hating micro transactions without actually understanding what they are and when they are problematic. It’s like the phrase woke whenever someone sees a non white hero in a game or movie. It’s disingenuous to think that people deserve a lot for doing absolutely nothing and still feeling entitled to complain. They literally are letting you play the entire game without any restrictions and even funding the development of the entire thing. But it’s ludicrous that they are promoting OPTIONAL CONTENT for a small fee to help further develop the gameplay for better experiences post launch. It’s nuts the game is a decent 7.5-8 it’s fun overall but gamers are too lazy to try beyond one day and base an entire game based off the launch and preseason period. It’s so stupid

Destiny and warframe are both microtransaction filled games with in game benefits , i enjoyed warframe before but i dont support these monetary practices with my wallet , people who defend warframe or destiny models are just on mega copium but feel free to enjoy the games

I'm really enjoying it so far. Destinyframe is a good description for this game and since I'm a warframe vet I love the modability of all the weapons and Descendants. My main complaint is that sometimes it's hard to quest solo without the right character and wish there was more matchmaking options for the open world parts. Wish more Descendants had better movement aside from only the grappling hook.

Warframe is amazing if u have someone to teach you modding and a lot of how to do certain things like credit farm efficiently and how to get new frames guns and what is worth farming and what isnt

Game is good but i have 2 maybe 3 problems. Unlocking characters is okay but to have to wait more than half a day to play that character is quite insane. After farming items that have 3 to 20 percent drops or having to craft said dna modules which also take time. Also the gear progression is like all over the place. 4 different sections of modules you got your main gun, secondary, big boom stick weapon, and descendant. Thats like a massive clutter of stuff when basically switching between weapons is situational. You almost never swap weapons. But the last thing is ammo drops. The ammo you are using sometimes can be very hard to come by especially since you chew through it often.
That’s reason he mentioned warframe and destiny. In warframe it takes 3.5 days exactly to craft a new frame. 12 hours on most weapons. The game play is just so good and you have enough stuff to do that it doesn’t feel bad.
The problem with these games are they don't have a good end to any aspect of it. No end to looting/upgrading/enemies until you have play 300 hours or more
This will quickly become the favorite game of all adolescent males. Not only because it includes plenty of virtual T&A, but because it does nothing to encourage or require cooperation with other players in order to "succeed".
I loved Destiny and Warframe was alright. Tried this one last night. I did like the Grave Walker fight but those big bosses are the end game content (at least at this time) and there is not much more too it. The story seems generic so far. I have mixed feeling about the weapon leveling and mod system it uses as it is more similar to what Warframe uses then what Destiny uses and that was one of the things that kind of turned me away from Warframe. I guess I have been having fun playing so far but I have only just unlocked Bunny and feel like I have both not seen enough of the game yet but at the same time have seen the whole game just not all of the different skins and mechanics the other bosses and enemies have.
You have zone defend, wave survival, collection quest, and bomb delivery missions then you have the monster hunter leap on boss battles. That is the whole game loop.
More then anything the game is actually just making me want to go pick up The Final Shape and finish out the Destiny 2 story and play that instead.
As much as I would love some of the skins in the game because they look great I have no desire to spend any money on this game at all. Especially not $100 for a single ultimate bundle.
I will give the game a couple more days but I have a feeling that will be the end of it for me unless some of my friends want to play with me.
This game looks so terrible, it’s going to drop off the map in a week. And for everyone saying “it’s free”, there are lots of things that are free. Time is money and often more valuable. If this takes up your time and it’s grindy/boring, you are better off doing something else. Just because something is free doesn’t make it worth your time. Absolute idiocy in the comments.
I have no idea how people think this is better than warframe, like its literally warframe lite. Its shooting is worse, movement is worse and more limited, there is functionally no stealth, no other options to play thru the game other than straightup hold w, shoot and ability spam. Even in a power fantasy sorta way warframe is just better

There was a perfect game like The First Descendant, it called defiance, and New version also called defiance 2050, But they took it down a couple of years ago and that upset a lot of people.

It's fun. It's easier to progress and start. A lot of drawbacks I have from Warframe is how cluttered their systems are and nothing really is making it easier to understand unless you have someone who is a veteran of the game and guide you through everything. TFD starts simple, easy, introduces to mechanics on a good pace... making it feel more welcoming. Warframe pushes you around with quests and all but makes things more confusing. idk if it's just me but it's how it went for me. I still have WF installed and was hoping to go back to it if Apex is not fun anymore.
@detective2221 The minimum specs to play the game is quite high. I have a mid mid tier rig and it spikes to full load once in a while. My only complaint right now is the lighting, especially inside dimly lit rooms. The only way to fix it is to have the lighting settings on high. I also encountered not being able to go to a different map, the game just needs a reset and it's ok, at least for me it never happened again. I was also booted out and the game crashed entirely while doing nothing. I came from Apex and League so these things are not as annoying to me any more... I do agree that these can be very frustrating for others. Glad it never happened to me while I was in the middle of a grind.

This game is amazing! Love the abilities plus the upgrades ect… i played the beta and waited for this for months to release. I just love thst u can run in on someones mission and just join in and still get the loot. Easy transition but overall fun. Couldnt get into wf anymore and it wouldnt allow me to finish the mars or one of the early missions so i wuit. Destiny is by god boring and a mess. I joined just a month ago and was forced to speak to 20 people before it would allow me to play a mission and it made me run all over the map slowly running which was essentially walking as far as the map could go. Well bungie just for that u lost a paying customer. Not to mention its confusing wat to do for beginners this late or even returning after not being vague on wat to do where to go… the descendents seem to fix those issues but they have terrible low frame drops everywhere and the graphics seem to have be worse then beta
Brand new Xidax gaming PC that has had no issues with any games installed until this one. Couldn't get it to finish the initial shading which would crash at 96% every time even after reinstall. Wish everyone luck as it looks like a fun and visually aesthetic game.
i love it. characters and cosmetics feel like warframe. gunplay and abilities feel like Outriders. certain sounds and UI feels like outriders too, i only really feel the destiny vibe in the dialogue and player hub
One thing I’ll disagree with you on is the cosmetics. The cosmetics for the women are borderline softcore porn and just look awful in the setting in my opinion. Bunny’s ultimate outfit is LITERALLY a bathing suit.

Bosses regain their defences way to quickly

I played all day yesterday and quite enjoyed it. Even went ahead and paid 10$ to get another decendant. That being said the game is very average right now with room to grow. I can see where its going to become stale real quick. Need more enemy types. The reuse boss model's (they do change things up to seem fresh).
They need a couple more decentants to round out the elemental pool and make it easier to get a second one that isint just bunny.
They should also create a talent tree for each to add some variety. Missing a good opertunity to turn bunnys charge run (or AOE circle) into a shorter more powerful dash where she bunny hops. Idk. Again alot of potential here.

I think it's a solid game. The bones are there and it's current monetization model will kill the game. Again I work for a living soooo it's not that serious to me. It's a mindless time killer. They knew what they were building when they added all those microtransactions. If they want it to be any thing other than that then they'll make it.
It's rather obvious that your ultimate isn't reaching the boss, so you would need to go closer... This was rather painful to watch, but gave a decent gist of what the game's about. Only thing I'd criticize for a video like this, is that a brief overview of what content the game has - for example the different classes/characters and how it's monetized. Since that's a rather important aspect of whether or not people will find a game worth playing as opposed to solely the gameplay against bosses.

I think this game has 2 major problems they need to address first. Variety and difficulty. Not enough variety in enemies or missions types/objectives and the game is WAAAAY to easy. Half the time you can just stand still and get hit. Especially with all the health pickups on the ground all the time.

If you're a longtime vet to other looter shooters then it's gonna be a boring thing to schlep through the missions. If you don't like what made the game then no. If you want a new thing to try out for free then here ya go. If you're waiting on someone you can fill all your card slots in the first mission area and get a variety of weapons. The bosses you don't really need to pay attention to mechanic wise. Press L3(like a melee in cod) and it will highlight the weak points. You don't need to pay attention to that. Just shoot it in the eye and thruster and it'll die even if you're underpowered which really disappointed me. It has this great mechanic where you can rip off pieces of a boss but you don't need to do that with the first two collosi you fight. Dark age lord shaxx makes these bosses easy with his bubble shield btw. Right now it's meh, it's basically how outriders was at release but it will get better.
Dont forget Nexon is the first game company add microtransaction system to game in gaming history. Also look at The Finals.. who talk about that game nowadays even it was so hot when came out. Just enjoy it but dont over hype for it.

Felt weird to see a tgm video on the first descendent pop up lol but I agree with everything you said except for if u didn't like destiny or warframe probably not because I hated both of those games even tho I like looters shooters and this game is so addictive and fun with alot of variety on characters and builds and roles within a team too. The gameplay feels closer to the division and outriders even the combat. The way the character moves and even the reticle does. But the characters feel like frames I agree. It's definitely grindy. I had to grind missions so many times to get the parts to craft a character lol. I will say they've added alot since the beta so feels like they're listening to their community and there seems to he hope with new content being added regularly. They already added 3 new characters with another coming next month called luna who has been said to basically be octavia from warframe. I see myself sinking ALOT of hours into this game. Looking forward to truing the new dungeons they've added as there wasn't dungeons in the beta.

LoL this game is so bad. They probably copy some program and mod it to make people spend money on a bunny character just to make a quick buck. Game is so bugged and dumb. I start at lvl 1 with a 1500 to 2k weapon in my inventory i didnt even know i had until i swap it out and start one shotting mobs. The stability of the game is so bad and studders so much and freezes. The pros is that its free so nothing to lose.
Just throwing this out there. I don't like destiny, it's SUPER repetitive especially the first one that I played and it just felt like there was nothing else to do even with friends it wasn't fun for very long. Additionally, I'm not a huge fan of Warframe, to me it's insanely grindy and part of that could be starting so late, but also you get absolutely zero direction on what to do in warframe. And I say that to say this, I have been LOVING First Descendant. Even when I have to go and grind just gold or kuiper shards, I don't find it to be a headache. Normally, I would get extremely bored doing the same thing against AI over and over, but I don't on this game for whatever reason. The ONLY thing I wish was different, is the chance to receive premium currency (Normally paid for or earned through battle pass) in other ways than just a credit card.

Short answer is No! They don't respect the limited time you spend on Earth + it's boring, shallow, repetitive and half of the time you don't even know what you are collecting, way too overcomplicated and yet as simple as a brick tied to a stick.
It’s just a generic mmorpg that looks and play like the modern generic mmorpg. BUT, it’s fun nontheless, and play it for the fan service.
TLDR: its a free game, you can just download and try.
