I WAS on the fence about the ‘Painting and drawing in waldorf schools’ book, thank you so much for showing it! In the cart it goes :)

Could you do an entire video on the black wing pencils? I’m confused by all the kinds. I have had luck with the soft ones, it helps me not have a death grip on them, hahaha

Yes! I think I just unarchived the two videos on pencils. Haha 😂 a whole video on pencils and I could speak for hours on it. But basically you can imagine pencils in five categories from hard to soft. Hard or firm pencils have graphite that’s hard and doesn’t smear and is typically lighter and gives thinner lines for the most part. A number 2 pencil is right in the middle and soft pencils have soft graphite which means they mark easily and darkly and smear. It’s great for drawing but not necessarily writing unless you have a youngish child with light grip and touch.

Hello! Im so glad to have come across your channel. I'm just starting on a waldorf curriculum for my son (10) with the BEarth curriculum. Would love to know if you have heard of them but also just wanted to say you are a huge motivation for me as I am just starting out. Thank you for all the uploads!

We used chalk pastels for our history units but the chalk would smear on our work so I fixed it with matte fixative so the work doesn’t smear. It’s a bit like hairspray and coats the paper and protects the work.
