Thank you for the excellent review. "Going My Way" also has a rare onscreen appearance by the legendary opera singer, Risë Stevens. Her rendition of Franz Schubert'’s “"Ave Maria"” is one of the most memorable moments in “this film. One more reason to enjoy this film classic.
My favorite scene was when Father Fitzgibbons is reunited with his mother on Christmas Eve. How can anyone not cry over that. I come from a very strict Irish catholic family. When my dad passed away December 26th 2008 we made a video to be played at the funeral home and one of the songs we used was tura lura. I get it out every once in a while and cry every time. I have been trying g to find a music box for my granddaughter with tura lura on it. She loves that song. My dad sang it to us and now I sing it to her. I also play it on you tube for her.
I agree. And yet, you can’t find that particular clip on RUclips anywhere! I watched this last night and had forgotten how much I love this movie. I rewatched the Ave Maria scene probably five times!
Most moving scene is at 3:47, where rich father thinks his son is setting up the beautiful young woman in background as a"kept woman", only to learn son has just recently married her, and is going off to war, leaving her in the care of his father.
I thought you did a good job. The version I saw on RUclips did not include the father played by Fitzgerald meeting his mother. That would have been aces for those who know the movie. Spoiler for those new to it. good job.

Bing Crosby was so damn charismatic.
Handsome, gorgeous and delicious would be the way I would describe Bing.
That's...I...I don't know how to respond to that. Everyone has their own opinion of things though.
@@wodgerdog646 Also made a good priest.
Loved Barry Fitzgerald in Going My Way..Bing sang Toora loora loora to him
...first class

IMHO you should add the ending of the movie on the tail of your video. Starting from Bing being introduced to Father Fitzgibbon's mother.
Nice review - good work!
Good summary of this great movie....Barry Fitzgerald stealing the show.
Here's your hot toddy, Father.
At 1:06 in the clip you say he has to deal with an older pastor. Father is not a pastor. He’s a priest.

The elderly priest (Fitzgerald0 seeing his mother at the end is one of the high points of the film. Great movie.
Misrepresentation
