Main male character is always the owner of a *vital business (but not actually). He will own a bakery, or make chocolates, or run some kind of bed and breakfast/inn type thing. This business is small, and obviously not THAT important, but the story will make it seem like the whole town will be ruined if "Ben's Chocolate Slop Shop" is bought by BIG BUSINESS COMMERCIAL CHAIN VILLAIN! Thankfully, writer/photographer/blogger/chick returning home just one last time from the big city will put out a fantastic thing that will save the business, find her true love, and the town will remain Pleasantville.
This is so spot on! 🤣 But there is one thing missing: her writing some sappy article instead of the one she was supposed to write, and him reading it and then forgiving her because it shows that she "gets him" or something equally cheesy. 🤣
You forgot her getting a raise due to the "amazing" sappy article and then giving it all up so she can milk cows with him for the rest of their lives. ❤️
As a Mom that makes cookies for Christmas while watching Hallmark movies, this is spot on! The funny thing with the movies is that their cookies are always decorated perfectly, their kitchen is always spotless, their clothes are neat and clean, makeup fresh, and they're not frazzled from the hours it takes to make decorated Christmas cookies!
And don’t forget the excessive Christmas decor in every home, office, throughout the town and every little shop. Lots of wreaths, Christmas lights and multiple Christmas trees in every home.

One of my favorite Christmas movies has the car issue. Plus the female lead is wearing high heels so when she is waving for help she slips and falls--which she does at two different times in the story. 😊

I'm a wound care nurse, so I can be stuck in patient rooms for extended periods of time. Sometimes they're watching Hallmark movies, and this nails them perfectly. I have the plot within the first five minutes of watching, because they're all the same. They'll keep the channel on all day, and watch the movies back to back. I don't know how they do it, because the only thing that changes is the setting and the actors. This is absolutely hilarious, and the pointed toe was a nice touch. I laughed out loud quite a few times. This is one Hallmark movie I would willingly watch.
I think they're watching brainless, emotional, repetitive movies as a sort of meditation, to dull their pain. I've never tried it but it sounds possible! 😀
