    Hey, I don't know accrobatics, I don't know movement, but I know a thing or two about strength, and I'll say, get your reps in. Yes, even if you're not into hypertrophy, you would benefit from doing more triples, 5's and even working in some higher rep sets as finishers, rather than just doing singles.

    • @josephbartztraining
      @josephbartztraining Месяц назад +2

      That's true. That's why strength training is periodized and not staying the same. At the point of filming, I did 10-20 sets of singles in a session, finishing here and there with some sets of high reps, and I got superb gains from that. Currently, I do something completely different (I do not do singles at all currently). The problem with the internet is always that you see a single moment in time and think, "Ah, that is how XYZ trains," when all that is shown is one single session. Thank you for your comment, seems to me you have some excellent knowledge about strength! Have you done the full one-arm chin-up? I am always happy to hear how people have gone this path.

      @@dannymeslier6658 thanks for your concerns! And while it would seem we’re just messing around here - also Joseph and me know a thing or two about strength training. I do have a long lasting background in various strength modalities and so we’re familiar with training in various rep ranges. This video really shows exactly a training where Joseph ONLY does singles (as part of a longer cycle where he’s been doing more reps as well!) :)
      Again thanks for your concerns!

      @@josephbartztraining I see, thanks for clearing that up. Yes, I got it following Matteo Spinazzola's unusual training principles (that is, mostly doing lots of work around the 90° angles and high reps with what is essentially rest pause).
