    SICK! Very cool that Gong reached out to you and sent you some foils to test! Your journey is getting more interesting!

    Subscribed. I’ve been waiting for someone to review the full Gong pumping foil range, and compare to Axis range, which has more of a known baseline.

    Cool hope that you get to test Axis 1401 with Advanced + sillyshort fuselage and skinny 35 or 40. :-) only seen expert dockstarters to test them. Whould love to see how it is for you! :-)

      I just got the 1401, adv+ ultrashort, and 365 skinny and no way can I dockstart that. It needs a lot of speed. With the 1401 and 460 tail I feel like I will nail it soon. With 1150/460 I am about 30% for dock starts. Starting behind the boat with the 1401 and either tail 460 or 365 skinny I could not pump any longer in flat water than I can with 1150 (about 45-55 sec). I am 190 lbs. 1401 seems kind of overhyped to me. It does have a little more power on my small wake though. Small tail just makes it super squirrelly and drops into the water when you jump on for dock starts (I do a jump rather than this guy's surf style).

    So interesting to be following your testing journey with all the Gong foils.
    Can’t wait to see the next video!!!
    It’s your thoughts on everything that really get me interested!
    Could you please write in the next video which foils, masts and stabs you received? The Sirus in some different sizes I could see and then you said something about the Fluid (“H” I presume)?
    It’s going to be so interesting to hear your thoughts on the performance of the bigger sizes of the foils! What it does for the pumping, turning etc.
    Great work!!!

      I really appreciate your words. Thank you!
      I'm so grateful for having this possibility, I'm learning a lot and I'll make sure to make more videos to share my thoughts.
      I'm testing:
      Wings:
      - SIRUS L / XL / XXL / 3XL / 5XL
      - CURVE H XXL / 3XL
      - FLUID H XXL / 3XL
      - VELOCE H XXL
      Stabs:
      - SIRUS 45
      - FLUID H 42 / 45 / 47 / 49
      - VELOCE H 44 / 47
      Masts:
      - Carbon HM 70 / 72 / 77 / 79
      I still have to work on my technique with big foils to make the most out of them...

    So nice you got this from Gong you deserve it for all the content and great info that you provide. I can't believe that you can turn these wings with such a small board! I ride a 90cm board and can barely turn a 1320mm span foil

      @gaeldaniele  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you!
      Do you think that the board size affects the turning?

    Use the same front wing for one year now. Use the Veloce-H Stab 40 or 44 for the Sirus XL! It is much faster and much more maneuverable. It all comes down with stab you use.

    • @gaeldaniele
      @gaeldaniele  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the tip! Today I tried the Sirus L and XL with the Veloce 44 and the Fluid 42 and, as you said, the foil was faster and more agile! Have you tried smaller stabs than the ones you mentioned?

    • @FlorianLock-Raudaschl
      @FlorianLock-Raudaschl 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@gaeldaniele I also have the Veloce-H 36 Stab 140cm2! Very fast but very intensiv to pump! If you would have the same pump feeling as with your Axis setup you must try the Freestyle Stab 39 or 41. They are shorter. Then the fuselage must be nearly similar to the AXIS fuselage.

      @@FlorianLock-Raudaschl True! That's what I was thinking too. Thank you for your help!

      Have you tried the Sirus L 45cm?
      I was wondering how that feels compared to the Veloce 44.
      It's a shame they don't have stabilizers that you can mix and match and adjust on different fuselage's.

    Nice score, but I wouldn't really compare the 1310 to the Sirius, you should compare the 1401 to it instead.

    Nice review, thanks.
    I’m currently with the Sirius XL front wing, and fluid h 42 stab (used fluid h 45 before). Would be interested in your comparison with the Sirus stab as well as the véloce h 44

    hey Gael, cool content you are giving us. Any idea how would the sirus XL compare with the Axis 1401? According to Yvon it is the best weapon...

      Why estimate it when I can try it? 😄 My technique is still far from good with these new models, but I'll try and let you know

    Man it rides nose up. Too much front foot pressure, or so it looks

    • @gaeldaniele
      @gaeldaniele  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, I'm definitely riding nose up in the video. I was riding the Sirus with the same technique as the 1310, but it actually requires a different weight distribution: less back foot pressure and shoulders rotated forward.

    • @arnaudnaiwko
      @arnaudnaiwko 7 месяцев назад

      @@gaeldanieleRiding nose up or nose down is not relative to the rider technique, it's just a setting issue. The setup you used in this video would have require a mast wedge.
