Is there a way to leave the switch in the ON mode and then have it turn off if the AC power turns off and then turn back on if the AC power turns back on? I would love to be able to control these with wifi power plugs but whenever you turn off the AC it just switches to battery.
The PavoTube X-Series is a separate, more advanced product line with animated pixel effects and rugged metal construction. The new C-Series remains a more cost-effective, lightweight line of LED tubes. We just came up with a long list of items that we could improve in the C-Series, so that's exactly what we did.
The last generation 30C ran for 2 hours and 12 mins at 100% brightness, the new 30C II runs for 2 hours and 36 mins. The new one also fully recharges 1 hour faster than the old one.

Hi, no the light will always run off of the battery. There is no way to turn on/off without the battery.

Are these lights brighter than the X series ? or are they the same?
The X-Series tube lights are brighter. 5600K @1m the PavoTube II 30X is 746 Lux, the PavoTube II 30C is 647 Lux.
How long do they stay charged for ?
At 100% brightness the 30C II runs for 2 hours and 36 mins, the 15C II runs for 2 hours and 7 mins.
Why update the C series? Wasn't the X series the update to the C series? Sounds like a cash grab to me. I've already bought 4 of the X series.

The gen 2 have more light surface area so they require different barn doors that launched in the same day as the new Pavotube II C
