I love her as a character but omg… I hate having to use her in fights. She’s SO SLOW and useless… it’s just so unfun. I totally groaned when she volunteered lol. She is the worst for something timed like this.
Why cant she actually know how to use a staff like other ff characters . Like freya in ff9 or kimarhi in 10

Use haste on her and the speed demon accessory. She will generate atb really fast and be amazing@@markokarro
Her run is actually faster than her dodge. Once I learned that, I never used Aerith's dodge again unless I had a Radiant Ward down
Sorcerer's Storm is non-elemental. You're better off with Critical Hit increases instead of the Wind damage.

Soul Drain for single target or giant cactuar works really well. You gotta be on it with the wards.. joke of a mini game with Aerith

The only thing I'd add to this strat is to weave in Chrono Aegis - any small fry that tries to hit you, will get one shotted by the barrier, and it's great for the big enemies as well - just make sure to still dodge their AOEs because that will still hurt you.
My only issue with this was waiting for the big fellas to do the body slam attack.
This is the only negative part. Why would they pick aerith for this. Its a miracle i manage to complete part 4 but Ive been stuck on part 3.
This was helpful, appreciated. I used Chrono Aegis a few times to keep the Cactuars away, mainly the Light & Dark ones because of their annoying Tackle attack and then just used Sorcerer's Storm to take them out. What worked on the Gigantuar, I got close to it to trigger its Body Slam and then just waited for it to go down. Then used Soul Drain followed by Tempest and it was finished in no time. Chrono Aegis is also good against the Magituars since it momentarily stops them so if you have enough ATB, you can easily take them out with Sorcerer's Storm.
They should have given this mini game to Red because this was so boring
Straight up I suck at Aerith and always thought she was trash, and this confirmed it for me. I always hated using Aerith and pretty much magic in general except when I HAVE to for a boss fight
@@enda19 That was not what i meant 😭. Aerith is the hardest hitting character in the game, she just doesn’t flow well with a fast attacking mini game like this.

Throw in the fact she is suppose to be a magic caster doesnt help in a game mode that you focus on abilities(where they outright strip of her main ability gimmick, wards for a watered down version instead), plus many would not know how to do her melee attack, plus her so called familiar gimmick feels a bit inconsistent on ends.
If she actually had a natural action bar generation or significantly higher gain values per hit, it wouldnt be as bad.
But since you cant even slap Haste on her (atleast as far as im aware of in this point of the game), she cant just go spamming sorcerous storm to delete magic or light/dark cactaur swarms as easily, especially once the light/dark groups start popping on in.

@@Gooshieooshie5000 yeah esp when you can't use Radiant ward in the mini game. She actually does pretty well with decent stagger when using Radiant ward.
A few tips for those struggling with this:
1 - While using Shadow/Luminous Ward, YOU ARE INVULNERABLE! Also you can use them back-to-back and stay invulnerable. No need to use Evade at all.
2 - Don't lock on to targets! While mashing square to full combo, move your analog stick around to target different cactuars and get rid of as many as possible while building ATB.
3 - Assign shortcuts only to Soul Drain and Sorcerous Storm. When enemies group around you, use SS. When big cactuars lay down, use SD.

I don't know if it's helpful, but once I saw that you get 30 seconds back after the medium sized red wave cactaur, I understood 2500 was a lock after that . I only used Sorc Storm for the mobs and Soul Drain for the big. It's okay to take a hit. Also, don't try for a physical build, just hit the greens outside of a ward, and use a regular magic build for Aerith.
Beat this on the second try with no issues. Sorcerer Storm and Soul Drain.
Some tip that helped me with Aerith runs.
For the orange ones and those rainbow ones that give extra time, just stand inside a ward. It will keep Aerith doing magic/ranged attacks.
For light and dark ones, just adjust your wards accdgly.
Don't step out of your ward, they'll xome near you anyway.
For the green ones, just step outside your ward ang Aerith can kill most of them in probably 2 hits.
Try to save your ATBs for the giant ones after they body slam. 2 quick Storm, then charge tempest for ATB build up.

The trick I use for all these mini-games is to put the difficulty on easy and play on performance mode. ATBs charge faster on easy difficulty.

This mini game is absolutely absurd. Spamming all the best possible AOE abilities I struggle to break 2500 points, so I look for a video guide online only to see that guide doesn't quite make it to 3000 points, when somehow the game expects you to hit **4000**?!?!? No. To hell with that. I'm convinced that 4000 was a typo because it does not seem remotely possible
I love FF7 but it's part like these in the game when I wonder wth were the game developers thinking...
This felt really annoying at first, but once I noticed each colour has a weakness, it’s easy.

I can understand if Aerith had multiple fucking attack moves n shit, but this women is literally relied on Materia. Shouldve let Tifa or someone else
470 points on normal perfect score on easy the difficulty really does make a huge difference especially if you're just a story guy like me who only occasionally does challenges like summons

Sorcerers Storm is not a Wind-based attack.
Soul Drain is actually better for single target (Gigantaur) damage. That being said, this was very clean and shows that it at least CAN be done lol
this minigame was a complete road block for me beat the whole game 100% up to this WITH EASE and now im literally about to rip my hair out over this even after watching a few guides still cant get it

If you are doing magical damage it means you are in your ward. Step outside of it and you should be good
step out of the ward.
Soul drain works better on the big ones for this than sorc storm

You don't have to select it, you have to use L2 for the light ones and R2 for the dark ones

@@BlackCauldronX i couldn’t find this anywhere. All the guides say that you just have to “complete” normal and hard modes to get Johnny’s items. They don’t say you need to reach the highest score on all 8 challenges
@@DAMIKE54 When they say "complete" they mean get the highest score. Otherwise you don't get the collectible for Johnny. The platinum in this game is no joke.

Well... so there's no trick to it I guess. Pummel the heck out of them and sorcerous storm. Damn. I still can't do it. She's so crippled without her wards and magic. 😭
Actually it’s pretty easy. All you need is to cast the right magic ring around your self to deal massive damage to specific targets like red ring for red enemies or white for whites and cast your AOE LIGHTNING DAMAGE.
I was able to finish it with 20+sec

Near the top of her folio before her level 3 limit break. Weapon level 8 I think. Every character has a special move like that.
