Second time replacing the belt on this tractor in 12 years. The first time I had to follow the instructions in the manual and it took me over three hours. Following your video, I was able to accomplish this much easier in around an hour. Thanks for a great video!
That’s great! I’m glad you were able to get it done much faster than last time! Thank you for watching and please consider giving the video a thumbs up if you haven’t already! Thank you!
Good afternoon 5 Minute Fix it I'm Brendon while you got your deck off it's great time to remove all that crap from your deck so it'll last for many years.
My late husband has this same mower. The back deck wheel came off followed by the belt. After wrestling for an hour trying to get the belt back on, your video was a lifesaver. Thank you for adding the information about greasing the spindles.
The outside of my belt is rounded is that normal because yours is flat.
Robin I’m glad you found the video helpful! The narrow part of the belt should be on the inside while the flat is facing out. Thank you for watching!
Thanks! I had taken mine off 6 mo ago and couldn't figure how to hook it back up! Big help made it easy.
That great I’m glad you found it helpful! Thank you for watching and please consider giving the video a thumbs up if you haven’t already! Thank you!
Thanks ma guy. This helped one dummie.

Help to start! No need to dismount deck to replace belt!
I don’t think I mentioned that, but for the videos sake it was easier to explain with the deck off. Thank you for watching!
I am about to replace my belt and wondered about this. My old 42 inch Husqvarna I could easily replace the belt with the deck on, but this one has a lot more pulleys to go around, so I wasn't sure.
Great video! Just wondering, can you tip the mower on its side and replace without removing the deck?
@@danielmoody5023 you can but some fluids (gas or oil) leak.
Hi! No timing required for this deck? I mean, if blades sitting all in different positions, how deck is not vibrating, and blades doesn't hit each other?
No timing needed, the blades are individually balanced and do not interfere with each other. Hopefully this helps, thank you for watching and please consider giving the video a thumbs up if you haven’t already! Thank you!
Well done...
Thanks for watching and for the compliment!

Thank you much!!

@@5MinuteFixit just finished mowing after watching, then changing the belt. Had to make sure there wasn't something I might miss. I work on my own equipment like my sandblasting and painting equipment before I retired last year. If one takes something somewhere to be worked on these days it can even take months- I've experienced that before. Thanks again.👍
@@Rightlydividing-wx1xb I, like you, try to do as much work on my own equipment as possible. I find it rewarding and I like to save time and money if possible! Thanks again and please consider giving the video a thumbs up if you haven’t already! Thank you!

I broke the belt on my brand new TS242TXD hitting a hidden bit of equal angle. The local Husqvarna dealership are out of belts, so i was advised to search for one at a bearing and chain industrial supplies business. They found one that seems only marginally shorter, though with the tear in the belt, it may have stretched. I noticed this belt appears to have Kevlar woven throughout it, whereas the genuine belt does not! One can hope this non genuine part may actually be better! 🇦🇺
That would be great if it was a belt that lasted a “lifetime”, thanks for sharing!
Hey wanted to tell you I bought that same mower in 2010 my belt that came on it broke last week after only 4800 hours it’s the second part I had to buy couple months ago the plastic starter gear wore out
Thanks for the heads up on the plastic starter gear, I’ll look out for that. I’ve had mine for just about as long. Thank you for watching!
@@5MinuteFixit yw I got it on few mins didn't drop the deck I jacked the front of the mower up that gave me plenty of room to get the belt on and back to mowing Husqvarna has be by far the best mower u can buy that thang like a bush hog I can't believe it has almost 4900 hours on it now won't take long to get
5000
Why was i told these deck spindles we're maintenanceless when clearly there is a grease fitting?!
Yes there is a grease fitting, I grease mine every 10-15 hours of run time. Thank you for watching!
He didn't check the two other spindles
There are 3 belts on this mower. Why not pay attention to all of them?
