The Beach Basket is a traditional Portuguese restaurant situated on a hill with stunning views over Pescadores Beach.
We started with cocktails, mojito and a caiparinha. For starters we tried octopus carrpacho which is a dish we have not had before nor have we seen it on a menu, it's thinly sliced raw octopus with capers, tomato and lemon zest, we also shared mussels Pescadores style, they were delicious. We ordered our usual rose sangria. For mains we had roast lack of lamb and a monkfish cataplana for one person, that could definitely feed two.
The lamb was cooked to perfection and the monkfish cataplana was very tasty. For desert we ordered ice-cream, we had to eat it rapid as it was melting very fast as it was a very hot day.
The restaurant is in a great location and the food is great, we can highly recommend this restaurant.
