@@Acerheart Thanks!
Thank you creating this beautiful content on your Channel, definitely subscribing
i liked JASPER
Yes!
Please do a part 2 when that big one is cut. We can’t wait to see the reveal 🎉🎉❤
Will do!
Me too!
Is there a part two now?
Whutttt! I am almost to the end and then I saw your comment. He did not cut it in this video?! Agh!😂
It’s funny to hear others say CORN HORAL too!! I say it all the time!! It’s not even a tongue twister is it!? 😂😂
It’s so easy to say lol
“Lake Superior is cold today.” When is it not cold? I was at Whitefish Point in Michigan many years ago when the air temperature was in the 90s, and the water was frigid! I kept going into the water, though, to keep the black files off me. It was a choice between getting eaten alive and freezing to death!
I’m allergic to bug spray, but have discovered that peppermint oil helps to repel bugs. I put a few drops of the essential oil on cotton balls, and put them in my pockets. Give it a try! You’ll smell like a candy cane, but apparently bugs don’t like candy canes!
Yes please do part 2 cutting that big ass rock. And omg I was laughing when you said Corn Horal hahahahaha hahahahaha. Great finds
Definately need a part 2 on that big one with identification please. Want to see what inside looks like.
For sure!
At 12:30 it is a beautiful jasper! Very pretty!!!
13:06 got me good😂 Corn Horal! Excellent video as always sir! Always thinking about your videos and how to ID when we are on Lake Superior. Over on the Michigan side here!
What a great day you had. I'm so excited to see what inside "the Big One". Even if it isn't agate, it's got to be something special. I learn so much on your channel. I'm going out and look for those new Corn Horal rocks. You said it twice, so it's got to be real. ha ha ha, messin' with ya. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I want to see when you cut that big one! It was really cool looking. Also, I give much credit for walking barefoot around there! My feet couldn't handle that!😂 Nice rocks you found.👍👍
I’m waiting to see the big one sliced. I’m excited to see “what’s inside”.
Me too
Awesome video. Can’t wait to see that big one get cut and hope you go back and get that other one. Heck just send that other one to me. Lol
I gotta figure out how to get it cut!
If you ever come over to Washington state, we have some really cool agate and jasper varieties. A lot of carnelian, blue agate, orbicular jasper, stuff like that.
I found one just like that. Almost as big. I was looking forward to seeing you cut it. Please do a part two after it’s cut.
Some awesome agates. Looks like a job for Michigan Rocks….good luck, hope it is agate
We came from Iowa last month but just found a few small guys. So I've been watching a lot of videos coming back up in the next few months
I love watching your videos! I've rock hunted over 50 years so I totally understand your giddiness when you find a beautiful rock!😊I need to send you some of mine to cut! I think you should flatten a bottom of that big baby and cut it into fourths!!! Stand them all 4 next to each other...breathtaking!😍thank you for sharing your hunts with us!!💕 I love how you say egate!🤗there's my idea for that big baby!😃
I really like the way you invite us in on your project. It's true! We are all here together--except those of us on the other side of your screen get to stay warm.
Looks like a cool spot with lots of great agates! Man I hope that big one is an agate nodule but who knows. Try leaving that big one outside for a few weeks with the dark stain face up. I've had that happen before and rainwater will remove the stains! I'm not sure if it has to do with the PH or the ionization or what but it works! Regular tap water doesn't seem to cut it. Just leave it sitting outside for a few weeks and check it after a few good rain showers.
Great hunt. I likes the big rock that was not yellow. I thought it looked like a huge agate.
I hope you can get your big rock cut locally…hard to wait! Thanks.
I hope so too!
oh my goodness those Lake Superior agates are nothing like ive ever seen before! They are amazing!🤯
When using Ironout always completely dissolve the powder in the water before putting the rocks in. You just found out what happens when the powder is in contact with the rock. I had it happen when cleaning iron stain off fluorite.
Your chuckles and excited laughing make me happy. I completely understand that language hahaha
😁
WOW awesome finds. Wash out was were we found the most pophery
Glad I made it 😺 Those killer mosquitoes 🦟 again 😒 but some awesome finds! Can't wait to see what's inside them 😀
Not as bad this time 😂
@@AgateDad That's good 🦟🤣
Hey! I have burnt rocks like that! I used BarKeepers Friend and maybe an SOS Pad…it eventually came off.
Corn Horal? Bahaha!
Sounds great!
oh my goodness those are so cool i love agates. from addy😺👍☺😄
If that 2nd large one your taking is an agate it's gonna have eyes everywhere........can't wait to see to the end
That blue/grey one! Nature is so fucking beautiful, I would love to see that one cut open.
Amazing treasures created for us ❤️
Pretty green beach glass!
Yes it was!
Corn Horal? That's one I'm not familiar with. Teasing...good luck on the big boy!! And thanks for sharing your beach walk.
Ya it got crazy with the rain finally. Nice job
Right?
Another fun adventure along the lakefront. If you find one keeper it's a good day but you found a bunch. I hope the mosquito bites don't itch too bad. The big rock is technically called a a great big pretty rock. Rock identified! Heep having fun.😷⚒
Also I think the 1st big yellow rock you were gonna take is yellow Asperger’s! Pretty too!
GEEZ, you found some spectacular agates today!! You know you are doing good when you find an agate with your initials on it 🤗👍 SUPER COOL!!
That’s a keeper….!! Beauty in the rock
That big rock looks like some type of coral
Thanks Taylor! Fun watching you find cool rocks!!😊
17:42 honestly looks like a complete coral head fossil. The divots may be mineral deposits into the pores, so it could be a giant Petoskey stone
Terrific finds! That one looks like a cupcake. You need to carry a rock hammer. Answer some of your questions immediately. "Diaper change" 😂😂😂
TFS ❤️🏏🎸
I should just get one
I really want to see that big one cut open!! So fun watching all the stuff you find!!
Me too!
Wow that's crazy that it burnt it! I didn't know that was possible.
Apparently you can put it in the rain and it goes away. I’ll do that!
@@AgateDad nice! I hope that works
Best video of the year. I love it. I can't wait to see you cut into them. Great, great finds and video agate dad. My faves! ❤️
Thanks!
Very beautiful rocks. Love your videos. Liked. Like the agate at 6:07. Thanks for sharing. From Jordan
Thank you very much!
I've ruled my rock in castor oil. I was impressed what beauties they became. Try castor oil after cleaning first. It turns out impressive results.
Хорошее место, для поиска Агатов😍❤.
If you're ever looking to do some fossil hunting, I highly recommend Lillydale Park in St. Paul. I go there several times a year up in the bluffs above the river. I've found some pretty significant finds over the years. Large chunk of a Cephalopod, several long Crinoid stems, etc.
That's petrified wood. Beautiful!
13:05 “corn horal” Lol
A very nice beach, love the big jasper !!
Wish I knew where this area of the beach was we were just up there! Only ever fine tiny lil agates
More treasures! I can see some of them polished! Thanks for taking us with you! Strangely I didn't get any bug bites at all 😂
That would be awesome if that big one is an agate!!! Got my fingers crossed for you! 😊
Fingers crossed!
I'm far from an expert but that big one reminds me of some kind of funky coral or stromatolite. The smaller one maybe pet wood? Yeah, I miss Scoopie!
Maybe! I’m thinking similar stuff
I thoroughly enjoy your channel ! Thank you for every video !
That makes me happy ❤️
Hey Agate Dad, I live in East Central Illinois where the "Wisconsin glacier pretty much ended an on our 120 acres of cropland, andi find geodes, marine fossils and I believe jasper. A huge rock that was red trying to get above ground. It is the size of my head. It has many layers of golden and deep red . It is so beautiful and I'm pretty sure it's Jasper. Except for displaying it on my shelf, don't know what might be done with it! Wish you could see it!
That looks like the face of Jabba the Hut!😱
Where is this beach location? Lake Superior is pretty big. . Great finds
LoL @ "corn horal" @ 13:04!
What a beautiful place , I could stay there for hours
12:47 i think that might be petrified wood
Beautiful agates!!🌞🌞🙏💗
Yes they are!
Cornhorel? 😂I was listening both times.
🤣
Nice little goodies on that trip!
Oh yeah!
Hello dear friend! Well, you're lucky!👍👍👍👍👍
Very blessed!
@@AgateDad You and I are both obsessed with the agate stone! I am very happy for you that you are moving from collecting to stone processing. You have very interesting videos about agate stones, their processing and search. I am one of your first subscribers, and I am glad that every time there are more and more of them. I wish you good luck dear friend.🤝🤝🤝
🤭 you're the first person I know of who burned a rock 😂...I'm sorry...I hope you're able to salvage it 😂...still funny AF 😂
I’m sure someone did it before me lol
I have that feeling when all tiny rocks/sand get into the water shoes. It’s really torn my feet up a few times
Some beautiful agates my God. Nice video. Never been to Superior, looks great even with the murky water. Nice finds.
When're you taking a trip to montana? That would be awesome video. You could take home more than agates. 😃
Loved your video. I wish you would have taken that big rock home with you. I don't know if this affects the area you were at but the Chicago River has reversed it's flow and the water from the river is flowing into Lake Michigan. Maybe that's why the water was so murky.
I know when the Gulf of Mexico flows into Lake Pontchartrain it changes the color of the lake.
I received the piece of porphyry I ordered. It is very nice! I think I like the darker rock ( which is what I received) better, it shows the crystals better.
Keep the great videos coming!
I Hunt the agates in Oregon. I've got some real good ones from there HUGE and beautiful. Currently in Washington and looking forward to Ellensburg Blues hunt. Also planning an Opal Adventure b4 summers end...
Great finds! I do think if someone can slab that big rock for you it'll look pretty cool inside. I've looked in lake MI this summer for petoskey stones and such but water was pretty scummy and churned up. I would just randomly grab handfuls or bucket fulls of rocks just to have a chance to see what's in that dirty water. It panned out once in awhile.
Dude you have to do a second part to this video I want to see what's in the big one
Will do!
The big one Reminds me of orbicular jaspers:) thank you for sharing
Hate iron out - I’ve had it turn lots of agates black over the years. I completely quit using it after ruining too many rocks. I stick to dish soap and then citric acid. If I’m not happy I repeat the citric acid
I LOVE SEA GLASS! I have lots from Lake Erie:)
Agate daddy!!!!!!
Now that's a big one@
Yes want to see inside
bauxite , Before the ironout , after the iron out hornblende
Stepping on that beach dookie looks pretty satisfying.
I'm guessing it was hunks of clay with rocks stuck inside?
It was weirdly
Cape Cod girls love watching your vids & shopping in your etsy!!!!!
Thanks so much 😊
Possible fossil reeds? 😊 those are really nice agates too!
Hello from Greenfield Ohio
Yo!
@@AgateDad love your channel immensely! I believe people can relate to you and your passion. We have just a scant amount of the beautiful rocks/fossils/minerals here in southern Ohio. We have mostly ocean fauna💕 with a rare agate here and there.
Any hunt is a good hunt ! Can’t wait to see the big one sliced. Sucks abt the burn on the bottom, but salvageable. I’ll be waiting to see the follow video ❤.
Corn horal lol @13:09
very pretty
Is that a stromatolite? The big one you got at around 10 mins, those round detailed bits remind me of Mary Ellen Jasper a little.
Very beautiful❤❤
Well at least you own it when you lick it! 😂I didn't realize it would burn like that! I'm sure if and when you get it cut it's going to be amazing I can feel it!
Waiting to see the big one cut....
Directions to the Lake
I can't believe you thew the red one back
🤷♂️
@@AgateDad it would have been a nice cut rock lol
If you like fossils, you should come to the driftless area; there is lots of undisturbed coral, algae, shell fossils in the dolomite sandstone around SW WI.
I love cracking open a sandstone rock and smelling a millions-year-old ocean.
How long was it soaking to burn?!!
Two days
@@AgateDad crazy!!
I missed it, We will watch the delay video - hehehehe
Thanks!
At 13:05, did you say "corn horal"? 😀
Yupp!
Oh nice …I carried home 50lb ones…love the look of that one
I find tons of agates dredging for gold
Nice! Save them for me 😂
@@AgateDad most of them I put back because I thought they were just rocks lol. But now I know I will keep some
I have a very large rock just like yours i cant wait to see whats inside i live in pilk county Wisconsin
Awesome!
Corn horal I've not heard of that before
Your “Ha-ha-haaa!” made me laugh.
