You, my dear, are what they call a Fiber Artist. 🤗I have made more beanies than I can count...friends, neighbors, charity...this one just looks like fun, fun, fun😉 It's now November and charities are asking for their winter donations, and I am definitely making a few of these...since I have so much leftover yarn that is not enough for a serious project. The beauty of this beanie is that no matter how it comes out, it will be cute and gorgeous...lots of brim, just roll it up twice...extra squish😆 Thanks for the great tutorial.🤗
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I just started my crochet business and got an order for this exact hat and had no idea how to make it. There’s rarely been times where the first tutorial i looked up was the best one, but this video helped so much. Again thank you 🙏🏾😁
@@missylee7504 try not to match my stitches, your stitches might not be the same tension which will give you a different result. When you make your initial chain, this should measure the length from the top of your head to the bottom of your ear, and a few more inches added for a folded flap. Then you crochet rows until that piece can wrap around your head comfortably. Once you have all the crocheting done, it’s time to fold, sew, and gather the top of the hat.
Hi, I love the tutorial. I love the colors in the hat. I could not see what you were doing being that you’re sitting on the opposite side of the. I would be able to see if you were sitting on the other side thank you in advance.
What is the measurement of your beanie’s height and width before gathering? I used a 6mm hook, chained 41 plus 2. My beanie turned out super long, even after I folded it up, it was still too long. I have never crocheted a beanie, so I followed your tutorial. The hat is for me, so I didn’t try it on.
I would have to get back to you on this the next time I make another one.. the cuff is usually pretty thick but I know everyone’s gauges are different when crocheting. Try measuring as you go and using your head as a reference 🫶

I think I’m making mine to tight . And when I fold it my stitches are going across not up and down . Help me
@@missylee7504 are you folding it the wrong way?
