I will say for beginners this is a really great tutorial, but my first time around I accidentally did 2 crochets in the same hole which is a double crochet 2 together stitch and not a regular double crochet stitch, so if you learn from my mistake you'll be fine. • @SkySolStar
      @SkySolStar  9 месяцев назад +5

      Ayeeee thank you and you might be doing an extra double crochet at the end of the row which is causing it to increase. So try the hat again, but this time count the double crochet as you go for each row just to make sure you have the same number of stitches every time! I know it’s tedious, but this will also help you see the problem!!

      The size of your final product will most likely be different, but you can adjust how many stitches and more to fit more properly. With an 8mm hook, your stitches will also be much bigger and have more open gaps between them.

      @@chillingonnetflix1544 yeahhh this is the trickiest part ☹️ If possible maybe you could ask them to measure their head if they have a measuring tape, but I know that’s not always practical 😭 BUT the average measurement of an adult’s head is 21 inches, so just chain until you have 21 inches. But even then it may differ because everyone has different tension. But for myself my head is 22 inches and I’ll usually chain 63-66. Can you make a half 1 color and the other side another color. It is worked vertical

      @Salty_Khaii 5 месяцев назад

      I think for those types you can use stitch markers in the middle, so each time you're going through the row you stop and switch to the next color. The stitch markers will help keep it vertical

      I did this too and I would just unravel it and redo it but luckily for me it fits my brothers big head😛

      @@R06st4r unfortunately you’d have to start over 😭 OR you could continue and do the cat beanie with a rim which’ll definitely help it not look so big 🙇‍♀️

      @@minnieengland794 once you slip stitch the top closed, you’ll cut all your yarn (leave like 2-3 inches) and weave the ends into the hat!!

      I’m not too sure, but as you’re doing your rows you should probably try it on as you go and just pinch the top of the hat to see what it looks like!
