Greatest rock song ever recorded
One of the top ones for sure.
RIP J>F>
That sax line just reaches out and grabs you.Even after all these years,I still crank the radio as soon as Baker Street comes on.
Raphael Ravenscroft.
Sparky will fly over the Mississippi
At Dubuque
Gerry Rafferty caught my attention when he was with Stealers Wheel. But it was his album "Can I Have My Money Back" that hooked me as a fan back in the 1970s. He was a magnificent singer-songwriter-musician.
Rafferty died of liver failure at the home of his daughter Martha in Stroud, Gloucestershire, on 4 January 2011. He was 63. A requiem mass was held for Rafferty at St Mirin's Cathedral in his native town of Paisley on 21 January 2011.
RIP Gone way too soon.
I was in my late teens and living in South Florida when this album came out, and we called it "music to tan to."
Nice music I graduated in 1977 from high school and this was so much better than disco
Thus was right before he died. Classy Guy & Mum loved this song!!
Wonderful.
Thank you for sharing.
They did pretty good after so many years. Thanks for sharing. God bless you!
Man, that was good. Great song. Great cover.
Sensacional, mil lembranças, que privilegio ter vivido essa época.
Thank you
Thank you! I miss his music.
Wonderful musicians. Love it.Thank you.
Bizarrely enough Gerry sings this is a very passive way like the guy here but there’s a huge difference - The timbre of a voice is so unique.
True
Something is gone and cannot be back again. Sorry.
I was there two rows from the front and about 12ft from the maestro himself. Hugh Burns playing his iconic solo, the single best electric guitar piece I know of.
Yes indeed
Here we are WOW
Una excelente melodía y una magistral interpretación 👍
Wonderful.
Fantastic!
Wahnsinns Song, Gänsehaut pur 👍
Mr Brady and Bakers street. Winning.Who would buy a full album of Mr Brady doing Gerry Rafferty? Yes please.
Was that lead guitarist drunk for the intro ?
Favorite song....
The great, sadly under appreciated Betsy Cook singing backup.
Played Hammond B3 on ‘Days gone down” too
The people from past is so strong and intelligent cool
best sax line ever!
Maybe, but Rrunaway by Sunstroke Project is up there too
Not enough gain on the guitar
Very well done!
i love it
Jai adore bcq le rythme 💙💙
Mel Collins on sax!
These Guys are so 70 Tees fuck where is a good day we had
Lively Crowd
Trilha do Cowboy Bebop. Música fantástica
nah never heard it before
Raphael Ravenscroft actually thought he stunk with the original . 🤷♂️ the man was a genius
He sounds a little nervous. Still good!
dont embellish in a tribute band. play just like the record. thats the rule
As a guitar guy - horrible version. It is clear that they want to diminish the awesome guitar part that was an add-on.
The sax is way off, along with the voice. I'm afraid Gerry Rafferty is an artist that you just appreciate, and not even try, to emulate.
You do it
Nice try....not even close
To much sax.
The singing is not that great
The sax part can reanimate even a mummy.
Outstanding
Thumbs up from MOTOWN(detroit mi) . I've loved this tune since the 70s, as well as "Right Down the Line". A welcome top 40 during Disco era.
